Haibara is 18 so any parent should be 36 or more years older. Okiya is younger than that. Sonoko tried to hit on him which implies he at least looks reasonably young, and Ran's face kick limits the age disguise options he could have used. I also think Okiya is Akai, so being Haibara's dad wouldn't make sense. Nah, I think Okiya/Akai is genuinely trying to be as nice to her as a sorta-stalkery guy with agenda who scares her can be. That and Akai doesn't do so well at relationships because of his tendency to put the mission first. (Jodie, Akemi)

The wiki is right here. The reason why we know the body has been switched after Kir placed the bomb is the disappearing bloodtrail. Akai had blood on his face. The body doesn't when Kir comes back to place the bomb. This indicates the body was switched while she was away unless Akai decided to wipe his face off while he was lying down which would be stupid. The only time for the body to be switched was while Kir was fiddling with the bomb on the hood of the truck (You can tell from the panel she moved out of view!) because that is the only time Akai was not visible on Kir's camera. Kir cannot see in the cab here because she is over by the hood of the truck. Remember it is dark out in this scene. This is the change in the "body" before and after Kir went to the hood of the truck to fiddle with the bomb.

I'm pretty sure he purposefully threw the case too, so he could have an excuse to test Kogoro and also apprentice with him later. Assuming Amuro purposefully got his deduction wrong, Amuro's "..." (795.4) seems to indicate that he is waiting for Kogoro to intervene as the main suspect Banba is about to be taken away by police. Amuro didn't speak up even at the last minute when Banba was about to go outside and inadvertently destroy the critical clue showing his innocence. If you think about it, this kind of behavior isn't normal for good detectives in DC. Good detectives never want innocent suspects accused even if this means trouble for the detective to prove it (unless they have told the police ahead of time are are trying to get the real culprit to incriminate themselves). This shows that Amuro isn't like the normal DC detectives, but is calculating instead.The Amuro speculations document on the first page of this thread had been updated by the way.

The name for M16 hasn't been released yet, so I would be skeptical of anyone who claims they know it now and everything they say. Edit: The official name was released 18-11: "The Eleventh Striker" and it has no relation to the Black Org whatsoever.

Exactly, and cut about 75 chapters of filler out in the middle. The pacing in this arc has been terrible, plot all at once and then none at all.

This sounds far too sketchy to believe. What's the source, as in where did you find it? We know Gosho will end DC in the manga not a movie. Besides is the title for M16 really known yet? I think "Blood Arena" is only a rumor name. The titles according to Wakarimashita at DCTP come out around December. Pretty sure this is fake.

He was stuck on the floor without Jodie or Camel. Also Scar Akai's deduction showed that he had to be paying attention to Conan because it was Conan who said aloud various clues about the receipts and the red mark on the bomber's shoulder that scar Akai would be unable to get close enough to see for himself. Okiya and Scar Akai were both shown watching so it makes sense.

I saw the needle in that panel, but I thought you meant there was another panel where the needle was visible. The needle wasn't visible again after that first panel. How is this different from any other time Conan has used the dart?

I see some wrinkles in one panel and Conan's hair point in another, but I don't see the needle after the original panel. Can you point it out? Also there is what seems to be a coloring error in 2nd from the top left panel of the last page: Amuro's skin is white.

I don't think Okiya has done any "make it look like I got shot surgery/whatever" to himself. I think Akai being alive at all would be enough for the BO to think Kir was a spy and start trying to force her to confess, or just kill her.I don't think the CIA will demand an investigation and try to force their way into Japan. Ethan Hondou's and his middleman's death was kept quiet and apparently un-investigated, despite the fact the CIA had a better position at the time and could have used Kir's position to funnel from the inside and theirs on the outside to press the Org. The lack of investigation makes sense because, politics wise, Japan's gov may not be happy with such a widescale investigation, and if the BO buys off politicians (like Conan has suspected), they could obstruct it for National Sovereignty reasons or "WTH US" reasons. Japan might not be too happy either with the CIA putting agents in Organizations that kill Japanese citizens and demand their own investigative bodies do it which Conan doesn't seem to think are up to the task. Most likely though, the CIA won't demand an investigation at all because their mission may not be able to be completed (what is the CIA mission in the Org? - It's never been stated, and it may not be takedown of certain agents) and/or do not have enough leverage over Japan if the BO is corrupting the system at key points. Remember this is DC. Any real world protocol that would keep Conan from taking down the Org mostly by himself is going to be summarily ignored.

I think Gin doesn't like Vermouth because she is secretive as well. Bourbon is the same way, so Gin doesn't like him either.

They suspect her, but have no concrete grounds for suspicion. The doubt is not enough to kill her for it because she is also a valuable operative who may have actually killed Akai. She is an in between case, even for the very cautious Org; they can't make up their minds on whether to trust her or not. That's why the boss decided to give an Ok on Bourbon's plan to find Akai because he wants to find some way to see who's side Kir is on.

It's pretty risky to just start working in the restaurant under a really famous detective if you are a member of a criminal organization. It would be wise to scope out the detective first to make sure the detective is interesting enough to your case to be worth the risk of getting close the detective.

I agree with the very last part, but not the first or middle part. He is interested in Conan and Kogoro. We know this because Scar Akai knew Kogoro's cellphone number which was on Kir's phone. Also scar Akai has seen two Conan cases at work, Teito bank and red shirts, and the common aspect is Conan. This third case will only solidify Bourbon's suspicion that Kogoro and Conan have something strange going on. Also, any research on Conan is going to turn up weird stuff, as Sera found and as Eisuke found. Having a codename indicates relatively high rank at minimum, better than Rikumichi or Akemi for instance. Because Conan was with Mouri before, at the red shirts case. I'm not sure I understand your argument; why would it be surprising for Conan to be with Mouri anyway? Tooru seems lighthearted, nice, and understanding at first blush, so Amuro would be the natural go-to guy if Ran was trying to secretly run an investigation on Conan=Shinichi herself and needed to ask someone to do a forensic match test on fingerprints or something like that that. Importantly, Ran probably wouldn't adequately conceal from Amuro the source of her fingerprints or whatever she was using to match. If Amuro knows Shinichi is supposed to be dead anyway and then hears about Shinichi anyway...There is a lot of potentially awesome plots that could happen here.

I think that was a lie told to Kir and a few other members to explain why Bourbon was activated. I think Bourbon's real mission, hinted at by dialogue between Gin and Vermouth, is to find out if Akai is still alive (and thus if Kir is a traitor) and kill him if so. They lied to Kir in case she was a traitor so she wouldn't alert the FBI or Akai to Bourbon's upcoming mission.A side mission might be to find Sherry, especially since the Black Org thinks Sherry and the FBI are working together (remember the Conan's trackers that the Org thinks Sherry planted, Akai was waiting for them because of one) but I doubt that is Bourbon's investigation purpose, especially since Bourbon is more interested in killing Akai.
