Lol, you're fine! And don't be too worried about me—I think I'm here to stay. I've always liked the bits and pieces of canon CoAi scenes floating around the hundreds of episodes anyway, and trust me, I've read too many badly-written fics and OOC dialogue to be easily deterred by it (sad thing is, I actually enjoyed some of them x.x). I doubt yours are among them though xD Poor grammar is definitely a huge turnoff for me. I mean, I get that not everyone was educated in an English-speaking country and not everyone has the experience of being hounded on by their English teachers, but gah. Forget about awkward phrasing (which I can stand to a certain extent), just capitalize. And a few commas (maybe less) might help.

    Hates?

I hate it when I actually like a trend for the thing not the trend, then the trend goes away and it's taboo to like the thing that was once a trend. Gahhh

Haha, I used to mentally filter out all non-canon ship stories that pop up in FF's archives because I dumbly believed in some "purity" or whatever (OOC-ness everywhere I looked) Then I went on a shoujo manga phase and realized just how many awesome non-canon ships and ship-fics are out there (that was a pretty crazy period of time for the fangirl in me....). Your story was the first DC fanfiction I've read in months and months, so the fact that I'm more openminded now plus my own squealing (coughcough) while reading it ended up something like *mindblow*
  5. Inside my brain in HQ: I wonder if it's possible to cram those two essays tomorrow morning... Then that leaves this evening mostly free... If there's no game tomorrow... But then Sunday... And then schoolwork...... When's the speech due............ ----> I wonder why everyone, including me, looks forward to Fridays so much. I spend all day trying to plan my weekend DD:
  6. OMG YOU ARE WAY AHEAD OF ME My brother's in the other room, planning the movie night out this weekend. And this is different from Interstellar—Interstellar walked into the mystic, paradoxical realm of Sci-fi not long after it started. The Martian, from the few pages I've read from the book before my brother called dibs on it, is all hard-science. One thing I'll miss about Interstellar though is the Hans Zimmer soundtrack.

I don't know how or why or when, but I feel like I'm slowly jumping to the CoAi ship. More fics like this and I'm on
  8. The MacArthur Foundation announced the 24 winners of its annual Genius Grants yesterday, as shown here: https://www.macfound.org/fellows/class/2015/ Every year, $625,000 is given to a select number of "geniuses" nationwide (why isn't this a worldwide thing?) with no strings attached. If this isn't inspirational, I don't know what is. Some of them are commentators on our lives on Earth, while others are innovators who aspire to find a way to harmonize our presence with the environment. These individuals are all doing something incredible and good for the world, and the recognition they receive with these Genius Grants only serve as a reminder that they are only 24 of a far larger pool of incredible and good people. *mindblow*
  9. I survived HUMP DAAAAYYYYYYYYY. Shhh it doesn't matter that the joke's too old......
  10. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, in anticipation to the movie that's coming out soon. I made the mistake of watching The Mazerunner and The Scorch Trials before reading the book, and I make it my mission to never go into the book-to-film adaptations blind again.
  11. Omg I LOVE mooncakes. It's something every Chinese person unite under, haha The last thing I ate was this mysterious chicken/pizza hybrid made in the school cafetaria.
  12. Nah, Twitter's the one that's stayed on top after all these years. I wonder if people will think I'm really weird when I bring the Special Illustrated Edition of Angels and Demons to school. It's seriously oversized for something that you want to hold to your face.
  13. I started volunteering at the library, and whoa. Was not aware they had the Case Closed season boxed sets.

  14. Pizza, even good pizza, is still pizza. I'm on the fence for this one. I want my wrist to hurt less.

  17. I wonder how back to school season is faring for everyone.
  18. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers It took me a while to get into it since I'm not accustomed to first-person present-tense, but it was worth it. The medieval assassin nun heroine is a unique and I like the fact that the romance is steady and reasonable, but the way one of the conflicts was resolved... Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor Most beautiful prose I've ever seen, period. The way Laini Taylor describes Prague, the chimaera and nephilim, and Eretz tricks you into thinking you're there in that setting and bathing in some holy light. The characters were a bit too perfect, but the ending won me over (huge cliffhanger, but brilliant).
  19. I don't understand why people like Fruits Basket. The art really irks me, but not more so than Tooru's personality.
  20. Less-used word for bilingual. Define qualms.
  21. ^(IE can't quote) Eh, I don't know. Maybe? I'm not the one with a phone xD I want to preorder the Queen of Shadows book. Pls, mom and dad. Your daughter is in (an unhealthy) love with a book series. She's actually reading literature now and she's willing to use her own money to pay for it. Be proud ;A:
