Ayumi found a bracelet at the park. Conan then notice tire tracks and bloodstains in front of the park.

They then found the owner, Shinobu Yamaki. However, when they arrive at his house, they are greeted by his sister, Risa Yamaki. They return the bracelet to Risa.
Conan decide to follow Risa, and found out that Risa could not contact his brother for a week. She visit his brother's friend, Yutaka Oi, who says that Shinobu might meet Yagi or Kogure.
Conan later is discovered by Detective Boys following Risa, thus losing her. They decide to split up looking for Risa.
Risa then visit Keita Yagi. After hearing about Shinobu disappearance's and the bracelet, Yagi decide to help her.
The Detective Boys later manage to find Yagi's apartment and ask if Risa visited him, but he admit that he did not meet anyone that day. Meanwhile, Risa is being tied on the sofa.
Ayumi deduce that Yagi is lying because she could smell Risa's perfume in the apartment. Mitsuhiko also found that a pair of boots seemed to have been sloppily stuffed in the shoe cabinet. Conan deduce that Keita Yagi hid Risa's shoes inside the boots when they rang the doorbell. He also deduce that Yagi is responsible for Shinobu's disappearance.
Yagi tell Risa that he use Shinobu's money for investment, but he lost it all. Shinobu was furious and insisted Yagi to return the money or otherwise he woud report the police and tell his fiancée. Hearing that, Yagi murdered Shinobu. He then plans to murder Risa too.
