Part 1

A man seeks out for Kogoro Mouri to help in finding his passed wife's wind-up watch in his apartment, as Kogoro refuses because he thinks it's a ridiculous request, Professor Agasa and the Detective Boys offer help. With everyone arriving in his house a women knocks and asks for the money the man loaned, he returns part of it and borrow her a film she has been looking for. As she was eager for seeing it, she watched right there in the video room. Conan found the watch and it's still working, even though it's supposed to be stopped. The woman is found dead and the movie rewinded.

Victim: Eiko Idetsuki
Cause of death: Blunt-force trauma
Suspects: Hideo Morita
A second after Ayumi found Mrs. Morita's lost watch, everyone heard sounds of something crashing and someone escaping from the house. They quickly rushed to the audio room and found Idetsuki murdered! A vase from the hallway was found missing and it's the same one used for murder. Is this the murderer of an outsider?

Part 2

As an aside, Detective Takagi tells Conan that someone stole all of Kogoro Mouri's case files on the day of previous the busjacking case from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Despite of circumstances of crime scene, Conan does not think that creditor lady was attacked by robbery. When he felt the scent of burnt flowers, young detective found the hidden truth of crime scene.

    The movie Eiko Idetsuki was watching starred the main character of one of Gosho's short stories "Play It Again", but used a different voice actor.
