The Detective Boys, Ran, Kazuha, Heiji and Mouri Kogoro are watching a trailer of a new movie produced as an Anniversary for the newly built building, however, during the Anniversary, Isato Yonekura is found impaled by a large monster action figure. The incident caused the Yaiba event to be cancelled, upsetted the Detective Boys. At the moment, Haibara feels that someone is watching them. Conan and Heiji go back to the scene and when Conan and Heiji see the picture analyzed from Yonekura’s phone, they conclude the culprits are Takeru Kouchi and Yoshito Mihara but they have already left the room trying to escape from the building. When the two try to get into the car, Mihara is caught, leaving only Kouchi to escape and he almost hits Ran on his way to escape but his car explodes after trying to evade an incoming car, who was the one in the incoming car ?

The incident is then reported to Osaka police, inspector Ayanokoji explains why he came to Osaka as Yonekura was connected to a scriptwriter Onda, who died in Kyoto the day before Yonekura's death when he drove off a cliff. In the interrogation room, Mihara says that Yonekura was focusing on his phone as he mentioned Onda when Mihara attempted to kill him. The second explosion occurs in a warehouse using the same explosives as the first explosion and the police suspect that a bomb was used in Onda’s car as well, which let Kyoto police and Osaka police investigate together. They learn about Yonekura’s former group from 20 years ago which involved Onda, Yonekura, Suemura and another member, Ishizawa, so they look for him only to find him bound and gagged in the kitchen of his own home.

Ishizawa luckily survives, but he can’t give any information for now as he needs rest to recover, Conan and Mori decide to go to Ishizawa’s house to gather some information. Haibara also gathers information about Yonekura’s group for Conan as well which involves a former robbery case, while discussing with Haibara, Conan realizes what has been going on and calls Heiji. At Osaka's police agency, Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and reveals the truth about the situation. The robbery from 10 years ago involved Yonekura’s group but Onda after going bankrupt recently, blackmailed Yonekura, which prompted him to kill any involvement in the robbery but ended up being killed in another case. The footage Heiji gathered shows that there were actually 5 robbers, not 4.

However, the victim of the kidnapping is safe, and it is revealed that the kidnapping was actually staged.

After a false alarm, Conan realizes one of the person who answered the door was not the actual person. He tranquilizers the culprit and saves the woman who was tied up.

Naeko is late as she was daydreaming about Chiba finally recognizing her, while on the way to the police station, she meets the Detective Boys and they are also looked at by a strange man, who is on a grudge with traffic laws. After her shift is over, Naeko, Yugi Shiori and Momosaki Touko decide to go on a karaoke. After the karaoke is done, the group splits as Momosaki notices a stranger asking for help about some strange noise nearby, it turned out to be a trap for her but she quickly overwhelms him but as she is a little overconfident against him, the stranger takes the chance to kill her instead. The next day, the Detective Boys are walking on the street when a nearby traffic MPDs receive information about Momosaki being dead. As the investigation goes on, Yugi seems to know who is behind this terrifying murder.

Yumi begins to recall when she, Yugi and Touko charged three men for breaking laws a week ago, which they replied harshly against them. Meanwhile, Yugi goes to the culprit's apartment and asks him to surrender to the police, just to be killed by him as well, like Touko, she also leaves evidence to point out the culprit. Later the police arrive and the murder is also heard by Conan himself, so he arrives as well. The investigation shows that the culprit was indeed one of the three men who was charged a week ago. Conan goes to Amuro to ask for information about the traffic case when Kuroda is noticing. Amuro then tells Conan about the case while thinking about how his attempt to break into Kudo's house was interfered with by Akai Shuichi. Shukichi Haneda also gets worried as Yumi didn't answer his phone calls until now. On the way to the scene, Yumi notices someone is following her. Who is the one following her ?

While investigation is still going on, Yumi was found lying down at the scene, it turns out that she asked Takagi to let her do this but Takagi forgot to mention and Yumi fell asleep as well. Yumi states that Touko and Yugi must have looked at something specific before dying. Investigation also shows that Yugi attempted to call 7155 for some reasons, so Yumi calls Naeko about 7155, who is not noticing about the strange man following her closeby. The police also investigate about the suicide coincided the traffic charge as well. Meanwhile, when Yumi is going to her car, she is stopped by two drunk men but luckily, Subaru was there to save her due to him receiving the message from Shukichi. Conan also comes to the first scene when Chiba was there as well, the two together talk about traffic and Conan suddenly knows something but someone is calling Chiba, it was Naeko that has been held captive by the culprit. Shuichi appears as Subaru to protect Yumi from drunkards, after getting a text from Shukichi

The information about the suicide coincided with the traffic charge is revealed. Conan reveals the true culprit of the two police murders to Chiba and explains the message the victims left for them. Kuroda informs the whole police station about the culprit and issues a wanted warrant for the culprit as he is amazed with Conan's deduction. However, they struggle as there is no information about his current hideout. However, with Conan's deduction from Chiba's details, the two quickly arrive and capture the culprit. In a moment to save Chiba, Naeko pushes him out of the trap set up by the culprit, this also marks when Chiba finally recognizes Naeko. Aftermath, it is revealed that Kuroda knows Amuro and his codename as Bourbon. Kuroda calls Amuro asking if he provided Conan with information to help him solve the case. He ends the conversation telling Amuro not to forget to report, referring to him as "Bourbon". Yumi sleeps in Shukichi's room. Chiba rescues Naeko from her abductor. She pushes him out of the way and gets injured on the leg from an arrow that was about to hit him. Chiba carries her to hospital, finally discovering she was actually his friend from childhood when they reach the crosswalk.

After that small conversation, she stormed out of the cafe, where they were talking; when he came out, she was nowhere to be seen. As he tries to find her, a stranger watches him in a car, carrying an evil smile. Chikara Katsumata is introduced.

Conan, Shukichi, Professor Agasa, Haibara, and the Detective Boys arrive at Yureizaka and are heading towards a graveyard in the middle of that slope. The "seven" and "three" on the incense chariot piece refer to Kiyomasa's Seven Spears and the Three Great Spears of Japan. The overlapping region between the two spears represents Masanori Fukushima, a person of the Seven Spears who owns Hinomotogo, one of the Three Great Spears. The upside-down T is the cartographic symbol for graveyards. When asked by Professor Agasa who the kidnapper may be, Shukichi thinks back to a shogi match he played against the very same culprit. That incident was the culprit's motive for kidnapping Yumi. Shukichi is revealed to be a sharp-minded person. Shukichi wins the Meijin title (the remaining of the seven shogi titles that he didn't posses). Sera invites Conan to her hotel room to talk with him. Yumi kisses Shukichi.

At 6:00 AM in morning time, Takagi had breakfast at Janothon's and begins to go jogging for exercising. While jogging, he met the part-timer named Hideko Sasamoto and says good morning to her. When he went ahead of her, Takagi found the bag and when he opens it, he found thirty million yen inside. Sasamoto thinks Takagi is a burglar but he tells her it's not what it looks like. At the police station, the officer confirms it's thirty million yen and it hasn't been reported about the lost and found items. When Sasamoto learns that Takagi is a police detective, she started apologizing to him for thinking that Takagi's a burglar.

Everything seems to be going too well it seems too contrived,is there all to this incident?But after reading some mails in the wife's cellphone circumstances get even more strange. Masumi Sera sees Scar Akai near Mouri's Detective Agency and tries to chase him, but he hides, meaning Masumi knows Akai. 2)Ai Haibara remembers Subaru Okiya and thinks about how he reminds her of her sister's boyfriend, Dai Moroboshi.   It is implied that Shinichi/Conan and Masumi have met before.

In this episode, Kogoro tries to investigate who is always solving the case while he asleep.

However, Kenya doesn't seem to be interested in Ran and asks Ran to accompany Rumi to wake Waka, Kenya's ex-girlfriend. Rumi and Ran has to open Waka's apartment with a key when no one answers. Later, Ran finds Waka on the bathroom floor, but she collapses herself due to chlorofoam in the air. Conan has a bad feeling that Black Organization will attack him or Haibara now. Bourbon stalks Conan as he makes a phone call to Haibara.

Then, the suspicious man and his partner say they're going to take Conan to a hospital and put him in their car.

However, the Fairy’s Lip, which is the item Kid aims for, is not known for us whether who is the real owner beside that Jirokichi bought it. After this, the heist happens as usual while Kazuha starts clinging onto Heiji strangely. Heiji wants to confess his love for Kazuha by catching Kid before Conan.   Heist: Fairy's Lip

The suspicion rises toward Heiji and Kazuha as they were the closest to the Lip which scared Kazuha and she keeps clinging to Heiji with that. Taka’aki receives a call from Kansuke about Kaitou Kid’s heist and the item Taka’aki has to receive and wonders about his brother’s wellbeing. While Conan reveals Kid’s disguise to Ran and Mori, who is obviously Kazuha, Heiji is still blindful about this and even attempts to kiss Kazuha until he is stopped by Ran. Kid attempts to steal the Fairy's lip but he is interrupted by Komei. In the end, he lets Kid escape as he returns the Fairy's lip to the original owner while the fake owner gets arrested. In the post credit, Taka’aki receives the item and from then, he knows and accepts what has happened to his brother. Komei finds out his brother Hiromitsu Morofushi is Scotch via an old letter from Wataru Date and that he died on a police mission. Heiji tries to kiss Kazuha although he didn't know she was Kid in disguise.   Heist: Fairy's Lip Wataru Date, Jinpei Matsuda, Kenji Hagiwara, Hiromitsu Morofushi and Rei Furuya attended the police academy together.

Ayumi is sad because she doesn’t know what to write in her illustrated diary, so the Detective Boys give their suggestions to her, Conan’s suggestion accidentally leads the group to the nearby Jewelry Store which has a rare watch. When going home from school, the Detective Boys meet Takagi who is spreading warnings about recent Jewel Robbery which let the Boys have more suspicion about the upcoming Robbery aiming at the rare watch. A few days later, after Ayumi has written what happened recently in the diary, Conan reads it and finds out who might be the potential Thief and together, the Detective Boys stop it from happening.
