Situation
Part 1
While at a camping trip, The Detective Boys are surprisingly greeted by Masumi Sera. While the Professor sets up camp and Conan chats with Sera, Ayumi, Genta, Haibara, and Mitsuhiko venture into the woods and come across a man burying a body.
Murder
Location: Campground in Gunma forest in mountains
Victim: Unknown woman
Cause of death: Wound from axe to the back
Suspects: Hayamichi Yonezumi, Chouzou Usagi, and Takeya Iwakuma
The woman was being buried by her killer when Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta, and Haibara stumbled upon the cover-up. The culprit gives chase.
While the children run, Haibara alerts the police, and then they hide in a dark cabin, only to figure out it is where the culprit was earlier. To prevent them from talking, the culprit locks them in and sets the cabin blaze.
Attempted Murder
Location: Cabin inside the forest
Victims: Ai Haibara, Ayumi Yoshida, Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya, and Genta Kojima
Suspects: Hayamichi Yonezumi, Chouzou Usagi, and Takeya Iwakuma
The culprit decides to silence the Detective Boys by locking them inside the cabin then set it on fire.
Inspector Yamamura arrives to the scene of the body, and later has three suspects. The only clue is a dying message of her fingers being in an odd form behind her back.
