A murder case with the world of kabuki, a famous Japanese theatre in Tokyo, as its stage, and a deduction showdown between Ebizo Ichikawa, a real life famous kabuki theatre actor, and Conan.

Location: nearly kabuki theatre

Victim: Hitoshi Takahashi

Suspects: Ebizo Ichikawa, Takuya Hosoo, Yoshiyuki Yabusaki, Shinnosuke Iwami, Eiji Kaneko, Yukari Shioji, Takuzo Minowa, Harumi Sakaguchi, and Shota Kikuchi

Hitoshi Takahashi was found strangulated in his car.

Trivia

This is the first anime original episode where Inspector Shiratori reappears after The Life-Threatening Broadcast of Love. In the manga, after the related The Late Grave Visit (volume 77), he reappears only in Unidentified Flying Object (volume 89).
