And it's already November, how long did it take for the school to set vacation days?

It was announced to be on 2-December... which turn out to be a Tuesday, (the national day of UAE, which is actually a vacation always) so we get to go to school on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (annoying XD) but thankfully they gave us half the week as a vacation (Tuesday to Thursday + weekend) but this is different than the end of term vacation...
