    • Yes, he is
    • No, he only sees her as a childhood friend. He's in love with someone else.
    • No, he only sees her as a childhood friend. He's just not interesting in romance stuff.

This question is not really clear in the manga and fans seem to desagree about it. So I ask your opinion. Of course you can explain us why you think so.

Please don't argue about this topic ^__^

Of course he is! Remember movie 7? Kazuha is Heiji's first love :D

I think he is, but Kaoko the movies are not kanon ^^

The movies got to have at least an ounce of truth within them. I believe that Heiji and Kazuha's love goes beyond the movies.

Gosho decided some informations in the differents movies. I translated a list (but in french) from the "Conan 10 years cinema guide" and other data books.

I also own the movie pamphlet of movie 7th and I can tell you Aoyama decided that :

Kazuha is Heiji's first love. And he draw the last scene at the station when Kazuha sings the song and Heiji understands she is his first love.

This information is Canon.

Of course he's not, they only go through every Japanese will they won't they scenario in creation so that they'll end up with different people. Heiji is clearly goi9ng to end up with Ran.

Only in your wildest imaginations will that happen.

It'd be a nice twist. Not HeijiXRan but Rachel leaving Shinichi for somebody else in general.

Yeah... but do you really think a lot of japanese people expect that?

I'm sure they don't. And I don't imagine Shogakukan/Gosho trying to write an original ending that may deceive the japanese readers.

He is! Watch Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation, episodes 323-324. He almost said the sweetest words. Especially when Kazuha asked him that if they survive, will he tell her what he was going to say, then Heiji said, 'sure. until you're tired of it.' he was referring to those words! :D <3

I'm pretty sure Heiji loves Kazuha but is much too dense to realize it. Remember that chapter in the manga where he asked Conan why he was jealous when Kazuha hugged another guy? And then he went 'it's because she's my little follower, isn't it?' So the problem here is whether or not Heiji will ever realize he likes her. I don't treat movies as part of the storyline just because they kind of mess things up, and Heiji is too dense to realize he even likes someone, despite what movie 7 says. The part where they were trapped in the attic? I bet he had nothing to say. He was trying to trick his captors the entire time anyways. *sigh* Get a move on, Heiji.

Shinichi has showed (or been showed in a lot of episodes) for his affection for Ran. I think the same goes for Heiji though not entirely revealed. (They must have their bad reasons. xD)

That's a pretty interesting opinion. This is the first time I hear this explanation. I will think about it.

I don't have any problem with the movie 7 because I think that Heiji's first love AND the fact Heiji is in love with Kazuha NOW may be two different points. I mean, he may think he had a crush on Kazuha when he was a boy. But even if he wanted to know who she was, he doesn't love his first love in the same way now. So he looked for her because he was curious (he's a detective after all). But now, he's in love with Kazuha in a different way. But he didn't realize it because this is only friendship for him.

In any case, I still think Heiji wanted to say something to Kazuha in the attic. He didn't say it because he was on the phone with Conan, and maybe, he realized afterthought he wanted to tell her something ... strange (if he didn't realize his feeling, the fact he wanted to tell it may have frightened him). That's how I understand it.

But I know we'll never know the answer.

Anyway, if he didn't plan to tell anything important to Kazuha in the attic, the scene when he tells Kazuha he would tell her later what he meant has no meaning to be there. Well, we can imagine it as a fanservice scene. I know but this answer doesn't convince me. Heiji and Kazuha are so alike with Shinichi and Ran. When something happens to ShinRan, the same thing happens to the Kansai couple. Shinichi is in love with Ran and so is Heiji with Kazuha. Heiji is always really clumsy and embarrassed when he's about to say something stupid or when he lies. Even he didn't have time to tell her the truth, I think his face is too serious for this kind of answer. He should have thought about something important.

But that doesn't need to be a confession. Maybe he wanted just to tell her important words like he cared about her or he was here to protect her so she hadn't to worry. Something like that. But I really don't imagine the scene was here just as a fan service scene and nothing else.

色々ヤバいトコやったしな。。。

"There were many terrible/dangerous things" (to Conan, at the end of the file)

I don't know the correct translation but 色々 means Heiji was talking about different things. Not only the fact someone was about to shot him but also something else. If he didn't want to tell anything special to Kazuha, I think he just wouldn't have mentionned it to Kudo. Because it wasn't important at all. So, that's why I still think he had something serious on his mind.

... I hope you could understand my explanation ^^;
