It makes me lose hope in mankind when I see that people prefer movies 13 and 14 to movie 12. :mrgreen: Myanimelist grade of the movies (on 10) : Movie 12 : 8.01 Movie 13 and 14 : 8.45 Why would they bother writing decent/good movies with an ok case and somewhat interesting characters (Reiko) when they can just satisfy the people with annoying action scenes, crappy fanservice ('OMGGGGG the BOOO !!!!!!' 'Conan and Kid together kakkoiiiiiiii') and a lame case (if any at all).

I don't think there really is a reason. It's most likely there purely for comic purposes. MK isn't like DC where (almost) everything has to be explained.

They did some mistakes in the translation here as well, so it was even harder : -Volume 38 : Takagi says that all the files were stolen and brought back except the one concerning the bus case, which is obviously wrong because Kogoro wasn't even there. The right translation is that the files were stolen the day the bus case took place. -Volume 42 : Vodka talks about Gin's brother having given poison to Kudo. They probably mistranslated the aniki stuff. -Volume 42 : Jodie mentions the funeral of her own mother when speaking about Vermouth, which is nonsense once again. -Volume 42 : When Vermouth mentions Sherry's parents, it's implied that they're still alive since she says something like 'your parents have picked up their stupid researches once again'. Thankfully, they edited all that when new editions came out.

Gosho isn't in charge of the movies (and that includes the trailers). He draws a poster, a scene, and makes a comment. That's it.

Yes. Apparently he voiced Akimoto Hiroshi in episode 143 and Suehiko Itou in movie 10, so if you want to know how he sounds (although episode 143 was over 12 years ago), you know where to go.

Well, Kogoro is supposed to be 37 and at the end you could really notice that Kamiya was ageing (since he was over 60 when he left). Sort of like how you notice that Fujiko is voiced by a 70+ year old woman or that Ran is voiced by a lady who's almost 50 years old. In that regard Takayama is really amazing because she manages to voice Conan when he acts as a kid or seriously without sounding like a middle aged lady.

Apparently a new character will be introduced in this file : Toru Amuro. Another reference to Gundam since Toru Furuya voiced Amuro Ray who is Char's (voiced by Akai's seiyû) rival in the series. Take all this with a grain of salt though, I got this on a different forum and I'm no japanese master to verify.

My critic of the movie : Overall, I would rank it under movies 1-5 and 12 and above movies 6-11 + 13-14. It's still an average movie at best. Movie 16 confirmed. It will indeed most likely involve soccer. I suspect some kind of bomb threat in a stadium.

You can either wait for the DCTP release (usually takes 2 to 3 weeks) or find the RAW on an obscure streaming website.

Since the movies are not canon, yes. @southpaw : Reasoning like that, you can also say that Conan could know who Kid is since his mother studied under Toichi and could tell Conan that he was killed, had a kid who's Shinichi's age, and that Kaito Kid disappeared when he died. What I mean is that I don't think we can assume characters (in this case Kid) know Conan's identity by saying that they just have to do some research in the backround, search for Kudo Shinchi's facebook profile etc...In the canon, when someone has suspicions or knows about Conan being Shinichi, it it always showed explicitely to the reader/viewer.

I liked Ayako. It's a shame we haven't see her since 1997.

It's not that simple. It would require money and time, which obviously isn't worth it for 1 or 2 episodes (same reason why there was no specific animation for 'Pilgrim').

Probably because of the romance. Boys/Men are more into nekketsu and/or ecchi. And thankfully DC doesn't belong to any of these categories (DC is a suiri/推理).
