    It's so fun to check shared anime on MAL and see where we differ. Like, Angel Beats? A 9? (I'm just opening this because I'm not sure you get notifications if I comment on the older one.)

      Angel Beats was one of the first anime I ever watched (I haven't been really watching anime as long as some people have, only for the past three years), and it impacted me more than it should have. If you're curious, if I had theoretically watched it today, I probably would have given it a 7 or 6.

      I don't consider myself an old-timer in that regard either. On a completely random note, your detailed About Me kinda inspired me to write up my own instead of the previous "In five words or less". Congratulations!

      Ahem. I think the first series I watched was Doraemon, but the first one I actually seeked out was I My Me Strawberry Eggs, which was alright (about a 6).

    I feel awkward seeing people in general. So... (if you associate a person with something, like a place, it feels weird when they appear outside of that associated place. i think i heard that somewhere) What is the greatest single motivation to get an individual to do or believe something?

    Is it that obvious? For one, I distinctly recall that Conan prefers to fire outside his line of vision. Two, I doubt Kogoro would have much recollection of the events as the sleeping agent enters his system. Three, Kogoro has a lazy train of thought, and probably that wouldn't come to mind. I dunno. It does reek of too much divine status quo.

    3, perchance? Yup. Bench my own body weight? That's crazy. 1) I have not particularly liked a single anime series I have recently watched (for the record, there are three: Baka and Test, No Game No Life, and Black Bullet). 2) I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory (the show, not the actual theory). 3) My hair has never grown past my shoulders.

    Perhaps you're the weird one, and everyone else is sane. Perhaps you are the only sane one, and everyone else is insane. But that would make you weird anyway. It's all relative. Why are we able to predict the movements of the galaxies but cannot predict tomorrow's weather?

The lie is 1. 1) I have a weak body in that I get sick and injured easily. 2) My maximum bench press is about my own body weight. 3) I prefer songs that are treble-heavy, or top-heavy (meaning songs that focus on the higher parts).

    ...I hope 1 is true, otherwise you're going to have a very painful and arid life experience. 3 seems like too much of a trap. I guess 2 as the lie. The language I learned first after my initial languages was Spanish. The lie is 1. 1) If you took all the characters in my Korean name and read it in Chinese (Korean names are written in traditional Chinese characters), the result would be pure gibberish (as in, no discernible meaning). 2) I have had a near-death experience. 3) I was never religious.

    I agree that this is a problem. That being said, I don't think allowing status updates should be linked to posts. I think the simplest solution is simply to disable status updates via Facebook and Twitter. It doesn't change that much, and it solves the clutter issue.

    3, because I hope you don't have some sort of strange pen fetish. 1) The language that I chose to learn first after English and Korean was German. 2) I have never stapled my finger before. 3) I am an avid fan of Lovecraft's works.

      By 'otherwise-grim', I meant it would've been. TBH, I wished that they at least kept some of the more serious elements instead of turning it into a full-on comedy. I loved how light-hearted it was, but I want to see how it would turn out if they focused more on the deeper stuff. Even the 'deep' things in this show didn't make me feel much (and after 20 minutes or so, it'd go back to something silly). Nevertheless, it was good. Do you know if they're making a se...
