  1. 3, because I hope you don't have some sort of strange pen fetish. 1) The language that I chose to learn first after English and Korean was German. 2) I have never stapled my finger before. 3) I am an avid fan of Lovecraft's works.
  2. Shinichi and Ran: 19 Heiji and Kazuha: 20 Takagi and Satou: 5 Kaito and Aoko: 20 Kogorou and Eri: 6 jerks i bet you all are cream-filled
  3. Auto-cannibalism? Some type of curry and rice.
  4. I won't ask about your opinion on SAO, but I will say that it's really misplaced. Instead, how about SAO II?

Meh. I can't say it's good, but I already feel like it's lacking something...

  6. You have pretty good taste. Suzuno is a great chara.

Agreed! I love how they could make an otherwise-grim story a really comedic one.

Grim? the series kinda dropped that pretense pretty early.

By 'otherwise-grim', I meant it would've been. TBH, I wished that they at least kept some of the more serious elements instead of turning it into a full-on comedy. I loved how light-hearted it was, but I want to see how it would turn out if they focused more on the deeper stuff. Even the 'deep' things in this show didn't make me feel much (and after 20 minutes or so, it'd go back to something silly). Nevertheless, it was good. Do you know if they're making a se...

  7. You say this as though KID hasn't gotten enough love.
  8. I always thought about it this way: it's easier to assume the improbable rather than the impossible. It's much easier to assume that Conan just happens to be extremely attuned to mysteries and also just happens to be extremely intelligent for his age, as well as wave off characteristics that are reminiscent of Shinichi as coincidence. After all, the alternative, that Shinichi was somehow shrunk into a child is outright impossible, and requires a few assumptions that are very difficult to assume (that there happens to be a drug that shrinks people, for one). It seems obvious to us because we are aware of things that Ran is not. It's dramatic irony.
  9. My German has faded away after years of neglect, and my Swedish (or Finnish) never existed to begin with. Would English be a preferable mode of communication? Welcome to DCW! I'm Mohorovicic, as you can see on the left – it's a bit of a handful to type so people prefer either Moho or Mark (my actual name). From what I've seen already, you have some good ideas and seem to be pretty sharp. I look forward to (possibly) debating with you in the near future.
  10. This is kinda weird. I really admire Gogh's works but I really hate KID. Oh, what to do... I don't really expect too much out of this movie. I'd be impressed if this works.
  11. i checked your mal and you gave madoka and bakemonogatari a 6 i don't think we can be friends :(

...due to the fact that I always watched it late at night. I was still young when I discovered it and perhaps I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have. I might need to re-watch it when I find the time.

i can somewhat sympathize with you on bakemonogatari, since it's not a series that everyone can get into it (i really liked it). madoka gets really good after the initial setup, though; i highly advise you watch the whole thing.

Since it's only 12 episodes, I will definitely try and bring myself to do that. College apps will have to come first though, but I'll see what I can manage.

  12. I promise I'm still here, and probably will be for a while. Ah, DCW IRL 1. That brings back memories.
  13. People need to take as many classes as they can stand. While there is almost no doubt that most of the information learned in those classes will be lost, that's not the point – the goal is the development that results from the pursuit of knowledge. As one expands their own knowledge, they tend to expand into other subjects, eventually hitting on a few particular points that motivate them much more than others. Exploring many fields also develops critical thinking faculties, and makes the individual more well-rounded. Sure, school isn't the only place where this can happen, but it's one of the best and most frequent places.
  14. Yandere characters when written correctly are by far the best "dere" type in my opinion. In general, though, I prefer kuuderes.

Yeah, it takes place during the Meiji period and features Phoenix's ancestor. Most of it actually occurs in London, so it'll make for some interesting mysteries.
