  1. There is an odd looking, square, multi-tiered tower on top of the building adjacent to the police station on page 806.13 in the bottom right panel. It seems to be used for satellites based on 805.03, 805.12, and 805.13. It isn't see through, but it may not be the right shape. We know Takagi's location is somewhere scenic, but important to the culprit, and Takagi recognized where he was right away. He also thought it was appropriate for the criminal to set himself up there. The police station is a good match. The book hasn't been found and no construction workers have come by, which makes sense because Takagi is on a satellite tower on a roof which is not regularly looked at. We have a very large number of roofshots of the station over the past two chapters. The dropped badge could be Takagi trying to hint the location is police related.
  2. Well, it is pretty hard to VA from 6 feet under...
  3. Poor Takagi. It seems he has been up there for 24 hours at least, so it must have happened. Somehow, I think wet pants will cause him to be too embarrassed to propose to Sato.

  4. Pisco didn't know Shinichi as far as we know.Edit: Reply to Kyuu below I mean "didn't know Shinichi" in the sense that Pisco will not think of Shinichi as a solution to who Conan is because, at best, Shinichi is some distant, unimportant detective figure Pisco may have possibly heard was assassinated by the Black Org a while back. There is no way Pisco has enough knowledge of Shinichi on his mind that he could identify Conan.
  5. You don't have to limit yourself to APTX 4869 or Pandora as possible solutions, and like it or not, the Black Org science qualifies as pure magic with a veneer of biochemistry, and is of recurring importance to the plot. Personally, I believe there is another compound besides APTX 4869 that hasn’t yet been mentioned that caused Vermouth’s aging problem. Whatever it is, I imagine the purpose of the APTX 4869 project is an attempt to replicate the lost compound's formula. Also, I think that whatever it is, based on the NY case and her planning in advance to change into more youthful roles, stopped Vermouth's aging rather than deaged her. If the Miyanos based APTX 4869 30 years ago off of her, that means that Vermouth is their guinea pig. She may not have enjoyed that. Also, if Vermouth has become more cynical about her aging condition and the Organization's goals over time, then she would come to dislike Atsushi and Elena who are, in a way, a personification of the Organization's science goals. It would also explain why Shiho knows Vermouth well and is especially terrified of her, despite them being in different lines of work.
  6. It can't work that way. The first problem is Vermouth didn't know at first Jodie survived; she found out later but couldn't find Jodie because she had gone into witness protection and had taken the glasses with her. Secondly, even though Vermouth later found out Jodie lived, she had no idea Jodie preserved her father's glasses with Vermouth's fingerprint. Vermouth first found out 20 years later when Jodie told her that her fingerprints were preserved. Thus there is not way for her to tamper with them. The fingerprint on the glasses is the genuine article. For more info see the wiki article discussing how Jodie and Conan discovered Sharon and Chris were the same person, Vermouth
  7. Pisco was trying to bargain with Gin for his life here, so he needed to be vague about what he knew to maintain his information advantage, that info being that Shiho was now six/seven. It would probably resolve his curiosity. I think Eisuke is able to guess the Organization his sister is infiltrating may have something to do with it because Shinichi is involved with the FBI who are fighting them as well.
  8. It isn't translated into English.
  9. Wouldn't Ted Baldwin be better played by Scar Akai/Bourbon/Amuro?
  10. It is marked for speculation. Like it or not, the speculation is in official media as well, namely the Conan Drill - an official guidebook for the series containing lots of info that never made it into the manga, such as sources of Gosho's inspiration, Kogoro's finances, etc. That is plenty of reason to give it air. Regarding agents knowing one another, we already know how the Organization is laid out because of the Drill and that structure has been replicated on the BO page.
  11. That was also silver to start with. Gosho didn't have colored drawings, or the anime overlooked them.
  12. But her hair is reddish - we'd probably call it auburn in english. (There was this whole fiasco with Gin where this detail was kind of important.) Gosho drew her hair pretty close to the current anime color to start with. I'm happy they fixed it.
  13. I have to disagree here. I think it is more about when does Gosho want to retire or move on. The franchise may and probably will continue after Gosho stops, but we will have at least our manga based ending when Gosho wants to give it to us, regardless of how much money DC is making at the time. Sure his editors and the anime producers may encourage him not to retire...
  14. Most IQ tests aim for 15 points as the standard deviation, so 145-175 would be about three to five SD. It is also important to note that IQ tests become far less accurate the further you move away from 100. Go high enough and you can get wildly swinging numbers (one SD) between tests, simply because IQ tests are not designed to measure the >1% of people with high IQs accurately. You see the same principle in SATs (standardized US tests). Universities like MIT don't distinguish between, say, a 760 and an 800 on the math test because the difference between those two scores is a smart kid and an equally smart kid who makes a dumb mistake because she got distracted or something. They want to look at things like the American Mathematics Competitions which are designed to push the limits of even highly gifted math students, and thus will more clearly show who among the gifted is the most proficient at certain types of math. There are lots of different types of intelligence, and many different types of IQ tests. Having lots of science knowledge, the ability to apply it very well, and get the results one desires has a muddy relationship with IQ. I have to technically disagree with you here because I have worked in a lab with grads under thirty who were designing custom protein inhibitors as trial anti-cancer drugs, but in spirit it is clear Shiho is a lot more advanced than most grads.
  15. Haibara would cheer Osaka. She seems to lean towards them over the Spirits.
  16. You are totally awesome for making that incredible wiki article and doing the soliloquy every week... I guess Takagi will just have to pee himself, or... *insert Bear Grylls joke here*
  17. If the notebook Takagi has is Date's and not his own, that might explain the cute sticker, why the ring left an indent in the book like it was left there a very long time (its Date's not Takagi's), and the meet the parents note; maybe Date was planning to propose to someone? (nothing to do with 805)
  18. Replying to an oldish post here, but we do have a list of unresolved mysteries going, but it is not complete: In terms of what Vermouth was going the entire time she was at the school, the Vermouth timeline might help: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Vermouth_timeline
  19. File 804

    1. Kyuu Nye

      Kyuu Nye

      was good.

      Just completing your sentence ;)

  20. Anyway, finally Amuro gets to be creepy for once. I have several ideas about what he meant, but I don't know which, if any, are right. It's too vague to tell because there are too many things he could mean. Akai is an easy one, but I'm not sure that makes sense in this context He wanted to ask someone questions who isn't there? (Takagi?) If it was something at the police station, maybe something is missing, like files? (Akai's death files? The body? Since Takagi was on that case, Takagi missing would crimp Amuro's ability to ask questions.) Is he missing someone? (Akemi? Wants some records of that case?) Is it because Haibara is absent? The parents jotted down in Takagi's notebook are mysterious. Plural implies two of them. What about Takagi's own parents? Where do they live? And of course, what everyone else said about the covering at Takagi's feet. A timer device designed to snap or burn the board would be a possibility. I think this is going to be a good case.
