Trivia
- Takeshi Nezu is the same name of the victim murdered in And It'd Be Nice if Everybody Disappeared.
- Kenzo Katsuragi and his two subordinates appear only in a flashback from five years ago, while they are introduced in Rainbow Color Kidnapping.
- Mariko Takeuchi drives an Aluminium Silver Peugeot 206 GRIFFE Hatchback. The license plate number is 新宿 500, め 10-56 (Shinjuku 500, Me 10-56).
- This is the fourteenth 1 hour special case, not counting reruns. The thirteenth was The Devil of the TV Station.
- Although the opening song is the same for the last two cases, the animation for it are unique for this case alone.
- Although the closing song is the same for the last two cases, the animation for it are unique for this case alone.
- This is the first case that shows that Reiko Kujo goes to a gym, and may have a gym membership.
- This is the case that Reiko had a makeover, which made her previous strong, capable, and domineering image is changed in a gentle and slightly sad side, however this makeover is really only for this one case, and the next time she is seen, she returns to looking more like her strong, capable, domineering, and more recognized appearance, in contrast to this one.
- This case revealed that Reiko Kujo had worked at one time in the S.I.D. or Special Investigation Department, sometime before becoming a prosecutor.
- Reiko Kujo was very close to Hiroaki Takeuchi at one time, and they even worked together in the S.I.D. The animation even adopted her softer appearance for the backflashes giving off the background that before she became the Madonna of the Prosecutors, she may have been soft at one time.
- It is difficult to say if Eri lost her first case in this case, since she did take up the defense of the culprit, knowing that person was the culprit from the beginning, and actually was working in cahoots with the Prosecutor to catch the culprit, rather than actually defending the client. In short, it was unethical what Eri did, and other than a grilling, she suffered no punishment. It was also the first, if not only case that Eri did knowingly kind of (not really) take on the defense of a real culprit, and took an unethical approach to it.
- The two photos in Reiko Kujo's apartment are about Kudo residence, but with an inverted orientation, so she's a close acquaintance of the Kudo family since Conan knows her very well. Open spoiler box to see images.
