Case

Situation

Yoko Okino is starring in a television drama and she invites Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to watch the filming. The cameraman named Morio Anzai is murdered and his dying message in kanji spells Shrine god.

On the way back from the convenience store, Conan, Ran, and Yoko discover Anzai murdered at the Shrine. Next to his body is a dying message, Komainu (Stone Lion), written by his own blood.

Conan notices that some of the words are dry while others are wet, revealing the dry message to spell "Attractive Man" (ニマイメ, Nimaime) which refers to Shingo, the one of the actors. Shingo reveals he changed the message to avoid being suspected of murdering Anzai. Conan discovers the name was altered to frame Shingo and that the real name is under Shingo. Using Kogoro, Conan reveals that the name left by Anzai is "Mame" (マメ) from "Mamegaki" (マメガキ), and reveals Taeko Mamegaki to be the murderer. He reveals when Taeko killed Anzai, she did not notice the dying message. When her fiancé, Yuji, was searching for her, he spots the message and changed it to frame Shingo while also disguising as Anzai to alter the estimate in time of death. Taeko confesses and reveals that she murdered Anzai because he blackmailed her about her past, as she had indirectly caused the robbery of her grandfather's shrine and causing the shrine's supervisor, Sugiyama to suicide.
