|summary= Kudo Shinichi just solved the Aquarium Case, but accidentally let Ran’s phone fall into the sewer, so he says he’d buy her a new one and promises to bring her to Tropical Land if she could win the Karate Tournament. But in the Karate Tournament, where Makoto Kyogoku can be seen as well, Kudo has to leave in the middle of the Tournament due to a Crime at the Private Mansion. Ran eventually won the Tournament and Kudo kept his second promise. While at the Tropical Land, he encounters the Roller Coaster murder case, which led to the event of Detective Conan.
In New York, After failing to capture Vermouth, Jodie Starling and Akai Shuichi move to Japan to continue the pursuit.
2 months after the Roller Coaster murder case, an investigation is made by the Black Organization to find Shinichi’s trail, and it is concluded that he is dead.
