Situation
After the recording at the Ishinomaki Yaiba Hall, the Detective Boys, Conan, Haibara, Ran, and Kogoro are taken on a tour of the city. During that time, Conan and Haibara notice Chiba scanning QR codes with a serious expression.
The next morning, while the group is waiting for Kanehara, Ayumi realizes that she had left her script in her room, forcing her to go back to get it. However, she is curious when she sees Chiba following a man who seemed to be cunning, so she follows Chiba but the two end up being subdued by that man and another stranger.
Worried about why Ayumi is taking so long, Conan and Haibara begin investigating her whereabouts, and in the process, someone says they had seen Chiba like the two of them. Conan then calls Takagi to ask why Chiba is here as Kogoro Mouri asked him to. Takagi then tells Conan about the unsolved smuggling case that had happened before, and that it was also related to a murder case that had recently been reported in Ishinomaki City.
Mitsuhiko and Genta accidentally meet Conan and Haibara after the two of them had sneaked off to investigate like the latter two out of concern for Ayumi's safety, and also learn that Ayumi is in some kind of danger, so the four of them split up to scan the QR codes, since Chiba himself had also scanned the QR codes yesterday for the peculiar circumstances. Just when the four are starting to get tired after finding some abnormalities with the two specific QR codes, Motomura happens to pass by and is asked by the kids to help with this tricky situation. They eventually are able to track the whereabout of Ayumi, and Chiba, but will they be able to save them?
