Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 R.L. he really creeped me out in my younger years
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 i have one of his books called best girlfriend
Balthazar Manfredie Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 back in middle school we were given a lot of those books but there was the tv show so i kinda skipped out on them
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 Who else but John Ronald Reuel Tolkien? Well, maybe Hans Christian Andersen (is this who you meant by 'Anderson' in the poll?). P.S. I like this topic!
Moon Kid Posted January 24, 2015 Author Report Posted January 24, 2015 Well, maybe Hans Christian Andersen (is this who you meant by 'Anderson' in the poll). Yes.
Kitty Paw Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 I like R.L Stine. I have a lot of Goosebumps books since my parents bought most of them.
Ryo Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 Those goosebumps books were cool as hell as a kid. Creepy, but good. PLUS R. L. Stine was born in my city
Moon Kid Posted January 24, 2015 Author Report Posted January 24, 2015 Rick Riordan for life. <3 I also have one of his books - The throne of fire
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 24, 2015 Report Posted January 24, 2015 Another good author, whose book I'm currently waiting for to be finished, is Patrick Rothfuss.
Akazora Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 I don't have a favorite author, but I remember one that I really adored in middle school was Madeleine L'Engle. It fascinated me how all her stories took place in the same universe and there were little character cameos in pretty much all of her books that you wouldn't notice unless you've read a lot of her works.
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Anybody heard of Jonathan Stroud, author of the Bartimaeus Sequence?
Moon Kid Posted January 27, 2015 Author Report Posted January 27, 2015 Anybody heard of Jonathan Stroud, author of the Bartimaeus Sequence? Nope. Tell about it.
Kirsch Posted May 8, 2016 Report Posted May 8, 2016 LEIGH BARDUGO Her writing style is perfect for me. And Kaz. Kaz Brekker. Kinej. Aleksander. Nikolai. (pls somebody understand)
Kid the Phantom Thief Posted May 8, 2016 Report Posted May 8, 2016 Damn I've already mentioned most of my favourite authors. There's a Danish one, Lene Kaaberbøl, who wrote a fantasy trilogy which is currently being made into a series of films. Series' name is Skammerens Børn (the Shamer Chronicles).

Which genres do you like? Also, I just realised I made a mistake in my last post. Lene Kaaberbøl didn't write a trilogy, but a four-book series (quadrilogy/tetralogy?).
