It's about if we're staying on topic or not. If what your conversation isn't related to the topic in one way or another, then it's better off in another thread where it is related. Not everyone wants to spend their time looking through posts that have nothing to do with the topic if that's what they're here for. And as far as I know, this topic wasn't originally created to discuss the quadratic formula.
