Have you tried Suki Desu Suzuki-kun or Horimiya for romance? There's also Mairunovich though not as good as the first two.

The man has originality, this Junji Ito. As boring or ridiculous as the elements sound, I've never heard of them before.

That entire panel will be seared to my brain in all its black and white 'goriness' for a while. Nasty imagery aside, the sociological undertones of the plot were quite interesting.
