The windows were dark and tinted, so Sayomi could barely see outside. But she knew that the police station wasn't probably too far away from wherever they were at this point. They'd been driving for about 10 minutes already.
In the car, there was one "officer" sitting on either side of her, and there was one sitting in shotgun obviously, one was driving. A glass barrier was up between the backseat and front seat, so there was no way she could try and sidetrack the one who has driving.
Even though she'd tried her best not to seem helpless or scared, she couldn't help the stomach-churning feelings inside her. In spite of that, she tried to stay brave and tried to come up with a good escape plan. She eyed the guys on either side of her. They were each carrying a pistol and handcuffs. That would be enough. Now all she needed was luck on her side, and she could be free of these crazy goons.
With as much strength as she could muster, she slammed the side of her handcuffs into the head of the guy on her right. He yelled in pain, and the car swerved violently as the driver jerked the wheel in surprise. The guy on her left attempted to grab her, but she brought her foot up and kicked him in the face repeatedly. She was in an awkward position because she was leaning against the goon she'd hit in the face with her handcuffs. Once she knew the guy on the left was down for the count, she resumed trying to knock the other one out.
The car stopped extremely suddenly and she slammed her head against the glass. Now the officers sitting in the front were getting out so she didn't even have time to register the pain of hitting her head. She fumbled for the gun on one of the unconscious guys' pistol and managed to get it out just as the doors on both sides opened. She tried to remember one of Meitantei Holmes's rants about how to use guns, and apparently succeeded because she heard the safety clicking and when she fired, one guy went down. She tried to turn around quickly to take down the other guy, but he'd already grabbed her and threw her out onto the road. She hit the ground with a yelp of pain. The gun went skittering across the lane and went out of her reach. The remaining "officer" picked up the gun and aimed it right at her head.
Then there was a grunt and the gun wasn't pointing at her anymore. Two tough looking men had come up from behind and taken her remaining captor down. "Hey, kid, are you all right?" One of them asked.
"Sure, I guess." Sayomi tried to get up from the ground but her handcuffs made that extremely difficult. One of the guys helped her up. "Thanks."
"No problem. We'll do anything to get rid of those fake police."
Sayomi stared. "Wait.. so you're the real policemen?"
"Yup. We can prove it... but you've got to go meet our boss. He's inside talking with a few girls who look like they're your age. They have some important business." The policeman pointed at a Starbucks that was right across the street. "Here, let's go."
"Okay." And with that, Sayomi was led into Starbucks Coffee, a peaceful place at last!
