  1. Hmm... the Bartimaeus series by Jonathan Stroud (at the moment I'm reading the prequel The Ring of Solomon). The characters and their development throughout the books... absolutely amazing...
  2. Awesome, they share the same birthday... Happy Birthday Akakata and IdentityUnknown~!
  3. Hmmm... I've missed a lot going on here... *Stopwatch hands out e-cookies to everyone while she thinks of what to saytype* Err... I want to take Psychology too! It's not available at GCSE level though so I'm taking Sociology next year and am going to start Psychology for my A levels. It just seems so fascinating... Anyway... *Gives extra e-choco to those who shared their stories* Oh, and sorry if no one understands what I mean by 'GCSE' and all that, they're basically the British (minus Scotland in this case) terms for the test-sorta things we do around Year 10. If you're really interested this might give more info
  4. Maybe you could expand on these points and add them to the Yokomizo + Yamamura section: -Yamamura's grandmother (unless they're both lying it seems that the age difference in what age Anokata should be and what age Yamamura is unexplainable...) -Yokomizo brother's flashback thing 'bout swimming (I think there was a lifeboat or something like that in it, someone might want to check that, but if there is some sort of modern-ish equipment then they're probably telling the truth about their ages). -They're all police officers. From what is heavily implied throughout the series there should already be undercover BO members in the police, why make the risk of capture higher when the org wouldn't really benefit from it... -And if Yamamura was the boss wouldn't he have realised about the tranquiliser darts and perhaps even put surveillance on Conan. G'night then...
  5. *Likes* Hmm... maybe Akai got a tattoo or something and that's why he always has things covering his neck
  6. English file is now out on DCTP, for those that don't know...
  7. I think Forever Lost has summed up everything I want to say. Besides, what's this thread for, if not to try and help people... Everyone here will listen so don't worry about talking about these things and letting it out, I've not really had any experience in anything you've gone through, but I'll listen and try to help when I can...
  8. Thanks Chekhov MacGuffin, for fixing up the poll and title, I'm not particularly good at that stuff but I really wanted to see what everyone else thought so I created the thread.
  9. So, just seen the chinese version of 755 and... wow! So. Much. Plot. Link for chinese file is here and feel free to discuss in this thread... EDIT: English file is now out on DCTP, go check it out if you haven't already!
  10. Sorry, I meant more about the fact that religion is the sort of thing that some people will do absolutely anything for, like those extremist nationalist people when they say they're doing something for the country (like the BNP in Britain, hate 'em), I didn't mean to single out Islam in particular. Maybe I should have worded it better...
  11. Hmmm... some of the points you make are good but I don't think you can accurately base someone's age off maturity, for one thing: this is the internet, it doesn't really bring across personality well. And, of course, maturity for certain ages only really works in averages, people can widly vary. Still, I agree with quite a lot of what you're saying and am wondering what IdentityUnknown thinks of this...
  12. Yeah, but you actually said typed it and admitted it. *Goes to look through other threads where you've mentioned things*
  13. Most people here are from the US, so that's the most probable and...
  14. Hmmm... thought so. 'Night'...Knight? Light? Kite? It doesn't look like an anagram... Mafia? No, maybe it's what 'Night' can be translated to in different languages. *goes to google translate*
  15. I interpreted the 'Night' thing as your timezone, it being nightime where you are at the time you posted. Am I wrong? (Probably)
  16. And why would they actually do that, the Al-Qaeda do these things for their religion, I don't think that after doing so many things in the name of Islam that they could be swayed by a bit of money. It goes against all their previous behaviour! ...c'mon come up with a logical theory if you want to prove he's still alive (so I can try and disprove them all ).
  17. Yeah!! Got level 8b on my recent English test, thank you TV Tropes!!!

I can tell, because of the levels.

In America I think they give letter grades like A.

    Mind Trick

Hmmm... so you have break the loop? *thinks* So, to break the loop you have to... *goes back to look at diagram* ...still not got it.
  19. I saw on the news that the Al-Qaeda have admitted he is dead. I was going out of the house at the time though so I only heard the headlines. EDIT: Found a link to it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-south-asia-13317717 Of course there's still the possibility he didn't tell his subordinates or they're pretending but I like to think those chances are quite low. After all, if America had faked it, what would they get from it? Pakistan no longer trusts them properly and it would be easy for the Al-Qaeda to expose them by proving he isn't dead.
  20. You posted an earlier version of this theory on DCTP, right? You may want to say that Natsuki from the Detective Koushien case faked her age to pretend she attended school so Aoyama has used this idea before. Anyway, interesting theory...
  21. The circle's not as common as the dakuten so there's only a few other hiragana you can use it on (though I think you can use the dakuten and the handakuten on katakana)
  22. Dakuten is when you add the line things like so ->ば And handakuten is when you add the circle thing ->ぱ All they really do is change it to a slightly different sound, I'll use ha/は as an example that was the most recent lesson. Basically... ha/は changes to ba/ば when you add a dakuten and goes to pa/ぱ when you add a handakuten instead It does this with others as well like ta/た to da/だ and ku/く to gu/ぐ Don't know if I explained that correctly, but hopefully it'll help (and the hiragana is bigger than normal 'cause otherwise it's hard to see the details).
