  1. You really can't, since this forum likes square avatars. You could place a rectangular aspect picture but I don't know how it'll turn out. Welcome to DCW! And I have one question: why the name Biomac?
  2. Most word salady band name I've ever heard.
  3. I Know - Seo Taiji. (All fans of K-pop MUST MUST MUST listen to this song. I don't care, you MUST. Did I mention you MUST? It's like the reason K-pop exists today.)
  4. Aha, I was a bit confused there for a moment. Anyways, it's not all that engaging nor exciting. It's really rushed.
  5. "Aww, that's a shame. Students shouldn't be piled up, all quiet-like. Curiosity and enthusiasm are the most important traits that a student can possess, and it seems like you've lost them. That deserves a penalty. Which puts you at 0. Alcaedias and Lovestruck have been eliminated. Come on, show some more activity, students!" The man shook his head. "And KKLT hasn't answered the riddle, so you'll be staying here for a little while longer." He walked up to Misaki-chan's desk. "Congratulations. The answer was indeed, 'himself'. But that riddle was more than just the last riddle from me. It's a message. Ah, but what is the message? That, you'll have to find out yourself." The man began to walk out of the room. "Class dismissed." ===================================== (Alcaedias and Lovestruck received -3 penalties for inactivity. KKLT did not answer the riddle. All three have been eliminated. Misaki-chan is the winner of this round. Congratulations, Misaki! Riddle answers and the hidden rules will be up shortly. And the MVRP?! This round of DCW IRL is officially over.)
  6. (Not saying "first". -3)
  7. "Just because it is difficult, it doesn't mean you can leave it alone. The problems of the world are solved by struggle and toil, aren't they? Anyways, Sasaki (AG4E) has been eliminated. And I have a final riddle for you. There will be no more breaks." He paused, took a breath, then recited: "Chester is driving down a road. Along the way, he meets Arthur, driving the opposite direction. Who is the only person, under all logical circumstances, that Chester cannot meet while driving?" He paused, then walked over and picked up his suitcase. "I don't know if this will be hard for you, but it does not matter. Anyone who answers this riddle correctly will be able to leave. Anyone who does not will be left here...for an extended amount of time. And by that, I mean forever." He began to walk out, then stopped. "By the way, I will inform you of one last thing. All penalties resulting from rule infractions have been tripled. And then, good luck to all of you, experiments." He walked out of the room once again. After the man left, the results of the previous riddle appeared on the board: Anime Girl 4 Eva: -4 (eliminated) Alcadeias: -4 Misaki-chan: -1 Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief: -4 Lovestruck: -1 ========================= (Riddle riddle, 3x penalties. End p of o.)

  10. I do have a lot of problems. :V
  11. Kino's Journey. An interesting piece of work, and certainly insightful. Maybe a tad toned. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S. I need something to help my Toaru fix, and they haven't released Index III.
  12. Did I actually say that? I lied.
  13. hmm was it that obvious?
  14. It isn't actually yuri, technically. While it is adorable, such behavior is actually commonplace among close Japanese girls. Er, not that close.
  15. haven't posted here for a long time. bad at discussion, but let's try.
  16. "Good afternoon. My, you're all silent." He looked around. "Ah, you found my suitcase. And looks like you've been peeking around. No problem, that's all part of the plan." "I'll make this one quick, the results are up, p of o, and so forth. Good day." The man slipped out of the room. ===================================== ( P of o. Anime Girl 4 Eva: -4 Alcadeias: +1 Misaki: +1 KKLT: +1 Lovestruck: -1)
  17. The gun industry isn't a large source of income to America, so banning gun sales probably wouldn't make a dent in the economy. Also, recessions are caused by overinvestment in a single market, and that market crashes. Right now its the housing market. No one invests in the gun industry. Yeah, their mindset won't change but they will comply. I mentioned Prohibition earlier. Bootlegging did increase, but mainly because the enforcement behind the law was extremely, extremely lax. And despite that, drinking did go down and many people did go sober. The funny thing is, the crazies are determined enough that they will find a gun, somehow, some way. So whether you ban guns or not, crazies will still roam. Actually, that may not even be the case. Here's an interesting fact: two-thirds of all gun deaths are suicides. More interestingly, when a gun control law was passed, gun suicides crashed. Predictably. But here's the best part: suicides in general went down. The people committing suicide with a gun didn't go off and jump off a bridge. That simple deterrment saved lives, because like comitting a mass shooting, suicide is an impulsive act. Though it may not change the minds of every crazy out there, it will for some. There is a counter argument here that argues that with a gun ban, people lose the right to self-defense, and therefore are helpless against lawbreakers with guns. Well, it doesn't work that way. Sticking a gun onto ordinary civilians doesn't do much good while under fire. The brain works in strange ways while under fire, and more often than not, an armed civilian is just as useful as an unarmed civilian. I honestly don't think a gun ban isn't a bad idea. If it's allowed to last, people's mindsets will change. Whether that's a good thing, or it'll lead into a snowball effect with all sorts of things being banned, that's a different matter. But the thing is, there are so many unknowns, and in the current political environment, there is still a lack of support for gun control. Until the people's mindsets change, don't expect a gun ban anytime soon.
  18. I'm distracted. *doesn't save*
  19. *coin drops* Ooh look shiny! *doesn't save*
  20. No it won't. Here's the funny thing: despite your impressions, American gun owners are in general, responsible law-abiding citizens and would probably never shoot to kill another human. If a ban occured, most people will comply with the government. Especially with the recent publicity mass shootings have gotten; gun control laws are being passed left and right in America right now. The thing is that American gun owners are stereotyped based on a small fringe of gun owners. The crazies. The wackos. The killers. These people make the rest of Americans look worse. And the funny thing is: these guys are unpredictable. There are no real factors that people can use to predict the next mass shooter. These guys really are the fringe, and by no means should they be the basis that other gun owners are judged. Americans are not obsessed with using guns. They are obsessed with the idea. They emphasize power. But I'll bet you that 99% of gun owners will never raise their gun in their lifetime. Besides, gun crime is down overall.
