OMM 1: it's a sad day for the PS Vita. I don't really care about first party games that much, but I'm still a little worried. I like my Vita a lot, even more than my 3DS at times, so I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for it. OMM 2: just gotta... just gotta make it through this week then it'll be break But it really is a thing AND ITS A GREAT THING, WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT SUCH AN UNDER-APPRECIATED HOLIDAY It must've been horrible to go through the loss of a pet so many times, especially if one or more passed unexpectedly. My family was so crushed when our first cat died that we only went a couple weeks before trying to find another one. Going through that multiple times sounds almost unbearable It's good to know those two get along for the most part! Hopefully they'll be able to work past the little fights at some point. Watching those two become closer will probably be really cute to see too. Ah she kinda sounds like how my cat was as a kitten, hopefully she won't grow out of some of those habits like my cat did. She does sound really sweet though, is she also a lap cat?

I watched Top wo Narae! Gunbuster ....I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but I didn't like this. I can get how for its time, it was really good, but it didn't do anything for me. I wasn't put off by the old art style or animation or even the mechs (I quite like the few other mecha things I've seen) or anything... I just... for the praise the OVA gets, I was expecting something more. I like character driven plots, ones where I care more about the well thought out and well executed characters than I do the actual story at hand, and none of the characters here were particularly likable. That aside and speaking of characters though, it is very obvious that Noriko was the basis for Shinji from NGE. I didn't really like NGE but I sorta liked Shinji so I thought I'd like her but... no, , ,, , , I mean she got more tolerable towards the end but even so, she still felt really amateurish in comparison to the other two girls until the end of the last ep I'm just disappointed I suppose

A new giant tortoise species was identified on one of the Galapagos islands. The tortoises were assumed to be just a variance of the one species of tortoises that lived close by, but a closer look reveals that they're actually quite different (genetically speaking mostly)! These tortoises are actually pretty rare too as there's only about 250 of them that reside on the island. Like a lot of other tortoises, these guys can also live to be 100+ years old. x x

OMM 1: HAPPY NATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY OMM 2: Life is Strange ep 5 came out the other day and I got a stupid bone to pick with it. So the giant storm that's first shown in episode 1 finally makes its appearance in episode 5. It's living up to the hype, being horrific and tearing Arcadia Bay to shreds; y'know just doing normal supernatural scale storm stuff. They keep calling it a tornado, but it's... it's not. The swirling destructive column of wind and debris is over the ocean, that makes it a waterspout. Waterspouts don't look anything like that though. Sure there are tornadic waterspouts, and sometimes those waterspouts can even move onto land along with the storm that's carrying them, but for the most part, they're little skinny things that just hang out over bodies of water for a while before going away. They don't even do that much damage usually because they generally don't suck up a ton of water and, unless the water's really polluted, there's not much debris it could pick up anyway. Waterspouts don't usually last very long either. They can have high winds but due to the thing being offshore, I don't know how it would've caused as much as damage as shown unless the buildings are super old and not taken care of (which is possible since Arcadia Bay's shown to be a town that's not exactly thriving and in its prime) Looking at the landscapes we've seen in game too, even if that was an actual EF6 tornado, it's damage would be reduced because there's a lot of hills and cliffs and tornadoes don't like those and instead thrive on flat landscapes that are easily traversable. TL;DR -7/10 this game about time travel and alternative realities doesn't have realistic depictions of supernatural weather phenomena /s np! Ahh you have so many--I can't imagine what it's like having so many! You guys must have your hands full taking care all of them haha It's good to hear the older ones aren't being aggressive towards the younger ones. It sounds like with time the other kitten will get more used to another young one around hopefully they'll get to be really close once that happens

I decided put off starting just about all fall anime until I finish my leftovers from the spring and summer seasons so I can't talk about much for the time being srry Technically it's from last season, but I've been forcing myself to sit through Hetalia: The World Twinkle. Not nearly as good as I remember this show being I still dislike the new art style ...that's about it. I doubt my thoughts will change once I finish the last like 8 or so episodes Now for the thing I can actually talk about; Haikyuu!!

OMM 1: Perhaps this is more fitting for the science thread, but since I'm not completely sure about that I'll just post it here: this site is really cool and puts a lot of things into perspective. It also can make you feel kinda crappy about some things but it's still pretty neat to learn how old you would be if we lived on Mercury instead of Earth. OMM 2: Really not sure how to feel about this I like Persona, and I used to really like vocaloid but together? ....not sure Either way, I want to hear the full song because Heaven's one of the best songs on Persona 4's entire OST I see, she sounds really pretty. I'm glad to hear that you decided to take her in. All too often cats are just abandoned and left to fend for themselves on the streets. Do you have other cats? If you do, I'll hope they'll take kindly to her

I used to lurk occasionally but I didn't make an actual account until this year either. Huh... considering how easy it is to make reddit accounts, I'm surprised that number isn't higher. Perhaps the neck of the woods I tend to hang out in is more reddit-friendly, for lack of a better term, than other places then because it seems like in those places (other forums mostly), it's weird if you don't at least lurk every once in a while.

OMM 1: Caravan Palace's new album came out today but I can't find any of the songs posted anywhere. The previews on itunes sound so cool too OMM 2: Happy Home Designer is making me remember why I love New Leaf so much the dialogue's just so charming Do you know how old it is? Aside from not being comfortable bringing my 3ds with me to school (or anywhere else really), the vast majority of the time I'm on my laptop I'm either chilling out on the floor with my cat or on my bed. I've got some essays due soon though and I usually sit at my desk when I write those so I'll have to remember to try the leg bouncing thing then. ...That looks very complicated. And like it requires very good hand-eye coordination My friend said her circle pad did break off shortly after downloading the Smash demo so I can only imagine how heated the few matches she got in before it broke were I wanted to post here yesterday but my neighbors are having yard work done and the workers accidentally cut my house's cable and internet cords so I couldn't :')

OMM 1: Happy Home Designer is cute. I like how you can pick the plot of land each villager will live on. I wish the past houses you built would show up on the map though. It'd be cool to see just how close you are to filling out the whole map. I don't like the play coin thing though. The things you can learn by spending play coins are worth getting but you can only earn 10 play coins a day and two of the lessons cost 5 play coins. I'm getting tired of violently shaking my 3ds to get those 1000 "steps" too So far my only complaint is that none of my favorite villagers have shown up yet. I don't even think two of the three of them are in the game at all OMM 2: ....Can someone post in the "What Manga Are You Currently Reading?" thread? I read a few short things and was going to just add my thoughts to the end of my last post, but I realized what I was writing was getting kinda long and the new stuff would be more fitting for a post of its own. ...just what do you do in Smash that can cause that to happen? I don't think my friend had Smash though. She might've had the demo, but aside from Monster Hunter, she played fairly casual stuff for the most part Is it a kitten? Do you know what breed it is?
