Yes. It's called buckling down and learning something you have to. If he's that determined to be a detective- that's all he needs to learn about a subject he has no interest in. Once again, I hate math- but I buckled down and learned it because I NEED it to be successful in what I want to do. You can't force yourself to be interested in anything, though. What you like is what you like. Just because Holmes is a researcher doesn't mean that he's going to be into science. It just means he'll know tons and tons of info. :grin: And he didn't force himself. He could have gone with any sport to use as a replacement for Sherlock's fencing. He just chose soccer. Conan has never shown any sign of interest in science besides stating facts. That doesn't mean he's into it. XD He definitely seems to enjoy soccer- he CHOSE to do it. It was the one thing about being a detective that he got to choose how he played it. He's probably genuinely interested in soccer.

Just because he states scientific facts doesn't mean he's interested in science, though. He just knows all of it because he knew in order to be a good detective he had to KNOW all of it. XD I hate math but I have to know it to become an author, don't I? :grin: And as for Shinichi choosing Ran over his job- THAT is how Gosho will prove to me he loves her. There is no proof he'd do it now but when I'm presented with proof that he'd give up his detective job to be with her then I'll believe he truly loves her.

^ She didn't say she had something really important, did she? She was kind of presenting it like she was just embarrassed to say something that she probably didn't need to say. Heiji bolted after that I think. But when he actually falls in love- then he's going to realize that he's wrong with Ran, right? XD You don't make a choice to love somebody. I TRIED to like Spongebob but no matter how hard I tried he just annoyed me still. XD If he isn't in love with her he will eventually find somebody he IS in love with and either deny it until he can't any longer or realize he was wrong before and pursue this other chick. And if that's the truth than he is incapable of having a serious romantic relationship- period. xD Why? It's TRUE! XD

She's changed- but not enough that she won't play cautious. Yes, Shinichi is wreckless- which is why that wouldn't be good for them. They'd just get into fights about how wreckless he is and that wouldn't be good for them. But he would think about it far more often with her around. He probably will never see her as a romantic interest when her personality still remains so cold. She just scares him and challenges him. XD As I said before- he isn't interested in science. He merely needs it to be a good detective. If he didn't need it he wouldn't KNOW any of that. XD I pick neither because there is a less thought of girl who is actually perfect for him if he waited a couple of years to get on the same mental stage as her. .... I think that would be the most they talked about their work to each other on a day-to-day basis... XD

I pick neither. :x For starters, I kinda doubt that Shinichi loves Ran. ^^' I really do. WHY in the WORLD would you place CASES above the woman you love? XD You wouldn't. You wouldn't be constantly late, you wouldn't not show up, you wouldn't run off in the MIDDLE of the date. < He's done THAT more than once I'm sure! XD You would stay right by her side all the way through if you truly loved her. Shinichi probably wouldn't even BE Conan if he loved Ran, from my point of view. Not to mention, Ran shares no interest or anything in common with Shinichi besides morals. She does karate, he plays soccer and solves cases. She likes romance, he likes mystery. Her father was a cop, his father is a detective and author of mystery. Her mother is a lawyer, his mother is an actress. Her parents don't live in the same home, his are away period. I don't like the idea of AiCon either. They don't share the same morals, first of all. Haibara, if a man walked into a bank in front of her, robbed it and killed somebody on the way out, would probably simply call the cops and play it safe. CONAN, however, would run RIGHT AFTER that penniless (or now that he robbed a bank very rich) murderer and knock him down. Haibara and Conan would raise their poor child to be confused and misguided. XD They wouldn't know WHAT to do or WHO to listen to if a somebody robbed a bank and killed someone in front of them. Listen to Mommy or listen to Daddy? Hmmm....? That would tear the poor little thing apart! (Unless, of course, he/she already HAS a favorite which would not be a good sign...). Also- Conan would be reminded of being poisoned, shot, knocked out, the fear he felt and all the lies he had to give and all that he was forced to leave behind whenever he's with her. I don't think he'll ever be able to see her as a romantic partner when she, on some level, RUINED HIS LIFE. XD lol Now, to the third point. Haibara ALSO has very little in common with Conan. Besides soccer and being shrunk and living in fear out of the same organization, they have NOTHING. Haibara, while once temporarily interested in detective work, ultimately chose science. Conan doesn't CARE for science although it is needed to be a detective. If he didn't need it to do his job he'd probably have no interest in it. Once they both got home neither would be all that interested in each other's work. XD "Hey honey, how was your day?" "Good. While I was working on that new formula-" "Hey, sorry to interrupt but I think I'm going to take a shower." Is something how I think it would play out... every day. And then Haibara never brings up work again. XD

Well, GOSHO hints it rather. What other reason would he constantly be making Conan grab her by her shoulders and grab her hand and things like that? XD Conan can just talk for heaven's sake, he doesn't need to physically put his hands on the girl! XD And I didn't hear him complaining when she laid her head down onto his shoulder. :mrgreen: He just smiled! :grin: Conan even is made fun of by Haibara, much like she teases him about Ran, about having possible feelings for Ayumi. This is most noticeable in episode 140- and it's in my signature. XD What reason would Gosho have for doing this when Shinran is the "canon couple" and Conan doesn't like her? I'm betting that it's because Conan will eventually feel a little closer to Ayumi and thus send us into a newer part of the story still unexplored.

Oh, it means "I Hate Kikyo Forever". It was originally a club name I designed when i was younger and created a YouTube account for it and everything and while it stopped being a club it kind of became what I'm KNOWN as. XD
