I didn't realize Hakuba had the same birthday as me til' this morning! It's still August 28 where I'm from but it's already August 29 somewhere around the world. So here is a pic called "a happy birthday from Conan and Ai" that I randomly drew for my bday: If only I knew before, I would've drawn a pic of Hakuba as well... Anyways... Happy Birthday Saguru Hakuba!2 points

Leis sat perched on the edge of a chair, hunched over and deep in thought. Ever since the spell cast to save her life ten years ago had been lifted, many memories, pleasant or dreadful, had returned to her. For a moment she brushed her short black hair away and touched the white bandage that hid her right eye from the world, hid it from those she cared about. When the demon Jiohtse had controlled Elden Orehnia, when he'd declared war on her family and all Nuragian elves, that was the year her mother had disappeared. So far, the way she had died was unknown, but Leis intended to wring the information out of Jiohtse before she killed him for his crimes. And supposedly his son is still alive as well, she thought. I'd like to know how he survived the attack on his base 3 years ago. She abandoned these thoughts at the sound of wood scraping the floor as it was pulled back. Rhayne settled himself in the chair beside Leis', muttering a greeting. She nodded in acknowledgement of his presence and breathed, "You look bothered by something. Did you dream you father's past again?" Leis was half-joking, but added grimly, "Or was it the outcome of our mission that you saw?" Rhayne simply replied,"Neither. It's just that... I have a question. Why do you cover your eye when you can see perfectly fine?" Leis shifted, not believing what she'd heard. "What?" she laughed. "I saw your gaze follow your assassination target in Crohaven. You were disguised with a spell, so I can't say you have no scars, but I know you hinder your own sight with that bandage." Leis hadn't realized he had been paying attention that day. She frowned and muttered, "You may tell no one." Then she began to speak, slowly at first. But her words took on a deep strength when she reached the second sentence. " Let me tell you first about the sword we are seeking. Davrim Shayar was a mortal demon, born to the pure-blooded rulers of his kingdom. As such his eyes were blood red and he had strong magic capabilities. As he grew amidst the rage of the Great Daemon War, he became sickened by the hatred and bloodshed between the humans and his brethren. His dearest friend, Mahayar Orehnia, was a human, and they defended each other's pride and welfare through the years. When he married a local woman -A demoness of his parents' choosing- he forged a blade called, "D'niren Amos" or demonslayer. It could kill even a seemingly immortal demon, and he hid the weapon from his comrades who would shun him for creating such a thing. "When his only child, a daughter, was born, he named her Latia, and bequeathed unto her the blade. He died defending Mahayar, and was honored by many, but not before he put an odd enchantment on the weapon: Only a female related to him by blood could use the sword against an enemy. From then on, every daughter descended from Davrim could use the blade, and had one daughter who succeeded them. But twenty years ago the demoness Karina Shayar fell in love with the Prince of a Kingdom she had visited on business, and they eventually married. "Nineteen years ago they had a son. The first male child in the Shayar family in many generations was born with his mother's raven black hair, but though he should have been half demon, had gained none of her power. His eyes were the violet color of his father's, and he could cast no spells. Two years later Karina bore a daughter who inherited her mother's demon blood as well as her father's elven genetics. Unbeknownst to the father of these children, Davrim Shayar had left something else to his daughter: All his hidden anger and hatred, morphed into darkness by years of hiding within his mind and soul, was transferred to her at birth. Over the years, every demoness born to a Shayar mother has had all the darkness in her ancestor's hearts trapped deep inside themselves. This was symbolized by their Jet black hair, which they all grew past their waists. Karina's evil overtook her before it was given to her daughter, and she eventually disappeared into nothingness. But the child was only half-demon, and so was able to suppress the taint through her elven blood. This girl, if she still lives, is the only one able to use the sword we are looking for. But if Jiohtse finds it before we destroy it, he may very well use the tainted magic it holds to destroy you and your brother. " WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD2 points

"Find him?" Conan asked, interested now that they had a case for him. The blonde one, Seiji, answered, "Yes, our fellow detective disappeared a few minutes after we got here." "Tantei-san?" Now Conan was extremely interested. "Yes. We all, excepting Kira-san, are attending Ryoka Boy's Academy, which happens to be an elite high school for future police detectives and the like," replied Mura watching Conan through the frames of his glasses. Ran told them she would get her father for this case, slipped on her jacket, and left. Once she had rounded the corner, Minoru suggested they head somewhere else, since Mouri-san would only get in the way of their investigation. Conan agreed, and the five walked to Agasa-hakase's house, chatting as they did so. Well, Seiji tried to chat, but the others only marched silently to the Professor's home. Haibara answered the door, giving Conan a wary glare before allowing the high schoolers in and calling for Agasa. Mura, easily the best speaker, explained their situation. "Under rather odd circumstances, upon linking to a website which claimed to relate to the manga/anime in our world of your life and career known as Detective Conan, we ended up here, in your version of Japan. originally we were in Karuizawa, but when we discovered a map providing the location of your Detective Agency, we decided to pay you a visit. However, Natake-san went running off at mention of some arson case in the area, and we haven't seen him since." Rather than try to deduce where Natake-san was, he decided to get to the area, and called Hattori. "Oi, Kudo, what's up?" he said, answering the cell phone. "I'm going to be in the area for a case, so if you could meet me at the train, that would be great." Heiji-kun agreed and hung up. Even on vacation? he thought. Then Kazuha started calling him, "Ahou," again. "You just interrupted me in the middle of a compliment on your deduction at that last case for a call from Kudo?!" she shouted. Then she broke off. "Heiji-kun, why is there a huge crowd over there?" At that moment Hattori followed the stares of the massive group to see a man leap from an apartment window about 50 yards away, and another, taller man standing shocked behind where the other had been. 45 minutes later he left the buiding with Kazuha, having solved the case. It was in fact suicide, although rare in his line of work. There was no possible trick to make the man jump, and the guy standing behind the deceased had clearly had no chance or motive to kill his friend. The rest of the case had been dull and quite unnecessary. The man had been drunk and had attempted to take his own life three previous times, etc. "Honestly, a great detective like me deserves better cases than this!" he exclaimed as it began to rain. "C'mon Kazuha, our parents are already back at the hotel by now." She was wearing her angriest expression, and screamed at him, "Baka! You're supposed to meet Kudo at the Shinkasen station in twenty minutes!" "You were listening in on my conversation?!" he retorted. "Why not? It's not like you're talking to anyone important!" Hattori sighed, knowing she'd win any argument they had. "Besides, Kudo said he was sending that brat from Mouri's place since he's too busy to come." At this Kazuha calmed down. "You mean Conan-kun? That's great, since you two get along so well, but I'll be going back to hang out with your mom. I'm tired of your silly cases. Oh, and I'm taking the umbrella," she said, unfurling it and headingack toward the hotel. "Oi, Kazuha!" She ignored him and kept on walking, forcing Heiji to head to the nearest tourist-style shop for a decently made but over-priced umbrella. Sighing, he began his walk to the train station. Just as he did so, he spotted a suspicious looking teen weaving through the groups of people along the street. He couldn't tell where they were going, but the look of grim determination as they jammed a newly purchased baseball cap on their head, not even bothering with a shield from the rain, was difficult to ignore. He tracked the high school-aged suspect through the crowd, keeping his eyes glued to the soaked jacket and cap they wore. The sky was getting dark, and Hattori guessed Conan and his client(s) had already reached their destination and were going to call soon. Remembering the recent arson cases in the area, he decided that the suspect couldn't wait until later, and switched his phone off. "Sorry Kudo," he muttered, smiling. "But this is one case I'll be solving on my own."2 points

Sorry it's so short, but I had too many things to do and needed to find a quick cliffhanger. Hattori twisted his hat so that the bill faced forward and walked through the downpour, keeping his gaze locked on the person he was shadowing. The teen wove between pedestrians, careful not to lose his target, and debated their identity silently. They could be just some kid, but with that look on their face, this guy is up to something. When he had almost caught up with them, Heiji decided to act. He broke from the crowd and jogged to a covered area, closing his umbrella before the teen he was following saw him. Then, as their dark green eyes skimmed the crowd, the arson suspect noticed him. He supposed he could have imagined it, but Hattori thought their gaze had lingered on him for a moment before the suspect quickened his pace. (He had decided by body shape that it was a boy) Heiji ran to catch up and held his umbrella over the boy's head, at which point the teen glanced at him warily. "Uh, I... Noticed you were getting soaked," he told the suspect. In an even, emotionless tone, they replied, "Why are you following me, Tantei-san?" Conan knew as soon as he left the train car that Hattori had gotten sidetracked. When he called, his phone was off, and normally he'd be waiting at the edge of the crowd, arguing with Kazuha. When he called, she told him she had left Heiji half an hour ago. He sighed and turned to his clients... or at least half of them. Minoru and Mura were still there, but Seiji and Kira had run off while he was on the phone. "They challenged us to a deduction competition before they left," Minoru said, drawing as he spoke. Mura announced, "Whichever group finds Natake-san first wins, I suppose." He then added, "They decided to find the Great Detective of the West to help them." At this, Conan smiled. "I guess we'll finally decide which of us is the greater detective," he muttered. Calling the other two above the din of voices and the sound of the 3:00 train heading out, Conan sprinted up the stairs and out into the rain, his mind already busy with the facts of this case.2 points

Well, I decided I was too lazy to draw something (even though I already drew the outline of an original piece...) from scratch for Hakuba's B-day, so I decided to color something instead. It's from the High School Detective Koshien scene. I'm posting it early in case Irene knocks out my electricity (and therefore my internet) for the next few days. Hope you like it.1 point

Back as promised and with even more caps than before! o_o;; "Her Highness Loves Magic" ("王女様はマジックがお好き"/"Ōjo-sama wa MAJIKKU ga o suki") Note: Based on "The Police Are Everywhere!" from Magic Kaito volume 1, chapter 2. ...Oh COME ON. I'm not even 26 seconds into the actual main part of the episode and you all show up?! In the manga, Nakamori appears after the shots are fired at Belmonde. In the anime, he's right there with the cat. xD;; And here's our first look at Inspector Delon...as really cool background music plays. His opening scene and challenge to Kid goes roughly the same as the manga. Ah...another sign of modernization. Instead of finding out about the challenge to Kid in the newspaper, Kaito reads about the challenge on his cellphone. His reaction to the challenge draws attention, so the teacher yells at him about how cell phones aren't allowed during classtime. Aoko tells Kaito it was a stupid thing to do and says he was probably looking at a picture of the princess. Aoko then explains how her father's been down lately and will probably be taken off the Kid case if he fails to capture Kid again. Kaito teases Aoko about how her father is a bumbling cop, causing the two to insult eachother ("Bakaito", "Ahoko"). ...That poor teacher. On his way back from school, Kaito comes across Nakamori on the riverbank and talks to him. Nakamori is frustrated with himself and his inability to capture kid and is worried about Inspector Delon stopping Kid instead of him. Nakamori then apologizes for bothering Kaito with his story and asks for Kaito to show him a magic trick, since Aoko is always telling him about the tricks Kaito can do. Kaito agrees and shows Nakamori a card trick. The trick goes a bit more in depth in the animation than the manga, but the end result is the same. Kaito tells Nakamori about how he used redirection to draw Nakamori's attention to one spot while he was secretly preparing cards with his other hand. (Hey, wait a minute Kaito, you're not supposed to reveal magic tricks!) Strangely enough, Kaito is the one who points out the fact Kid is a magician as well rather than Nakamori coming to that realization himself in the manga. Kaito reminds Nakamori that magic isn't real and that there's always an explanation for everything. Here's where things really diverge from the manga: Kaito attends the party alongside Nakamori and Aoko instead of showing up by himself disguised as an old (perverted) Count. Nakamori asks Kaito to go to Princess Anne's party with him to assist him against Delon and Kid. Kaito is surprised and realizes that helping Nakamori would help cheer Aoko up as well. ...Borrowing fashion sense, Kaito? "Why are you here, Aoko?" Fair question, Kaito, but we're reeeeallly going a different direction than the manga. Aoko explains she's there obviously because she was worried about her father. And yes, a majority of the visitors hope to impress the princess with their magic tricks. (...So why the heck are you all here?) Appropriate to the original title of the chapter, there truly are policemen everywhere. Delon confronts Nakamori as Kaito excuses himself to the toilet. Much to Aoko's aggravation. Also, unlike the manga, Princess Anne actually is out and about wandering her party instead of being cooped up in her room, she even compliments Aoko as being cute. A shout suddenly rings out that Kid is there. Delon mobilizes the policemen as Nakamori runs to track down kid...and poor Princess Anne is taken away to her room.1 point
-
Delon finally arrives upon hearing Anne scream that Kid is there. Anne says Kid escaped through the window and like the manga, Delon shoots the blimp down, which frightens Kid a bit who's still hiding in the room. Like in the manga, Kid is spotted by Delon by a flash of light reflecting off the Sun of Paris, and Delon shoots him in the chest, luckily hitting the gem. Kid then fools Delon by placing LEDs throughout the room to disguise which light is actually from the Sun of Paris. Unfortunately for Kid, Delon remembers something unusual about the Sun of Paris: it reflects light in a cross-pattern. Delon chases and fires at Kid...out the window. "Moron." Kid asks for Princess Anne to hide herself briefly as he wraps things up. Anne realizes she probably won't see Kid again, and unlike her manga counterpart, she kisses him on the cheek. Kid then disguises himself as Princess Anne and uses the disguise to escape with the diamond without suspicion...only Nakamori has caught on and asks why Belmonde isn't with her. The remainder of the episode plays out pretty much as it does in the original with the exception being the inclusion of Kaito meeting up with Aoko and being relieved Aoko is happy again. Overall a very enjoyable episode adaptation and lots of great expressions. :3 Here's hoping I'll see you next year with another Kid special!1 point
-
Now let's get back on track with the manga chapter. One of the guards is tied up in the bathroom missing his clothes and tells Nakamori and Delon that Kid disguised himself and went back into the party. The policemen leave as Kaito reveals himself to be the victim in the bathroom. Kaito then disguises himself as a policeman and tells the other policemen that under Delon's orders they're all supposed to meet back in the main party room. Nakamori realizes it's strange that there's so many policemen and he suddenly remembers what Kaito told him about Kid being a magician and how the redirection trick worked, so he quickly heads up to where Princess Anne is. Kaito then disguises himself as Delon to remove the remaining guards from in front of Princess Anne's room. Unlike the manga however, he tells the guards that Kid has disguised himself as Nakamori. Cut back to the princess being bored out of her mind because she can't attend her own party. She then wonders if Kid will actually even show up. The door creaks open so Anne goes to check it out and is surprised that there's no guards at all in front of her door. "White, huh?" Kid introduces himself and does a magic trick for Anne, much to her delight. Meanwhile, Delon is just now understanding the gravity of his situation for underestimating Kid. A policeman shouts they caught Kid...revealing a tied up Nakamori. Delon just yells at Nakamori for wasting his time, again. Another policeman comments that's it's weird that Kid is disguised as Nakamori since they saw Delon earlier. Delon then realizes that Kid is upstairs with Anne. ...Ladies and the gentlemen, I give you the original Kaitou Kid fangirl. Originally in the manga she was just bored out of her mind and even wanted to play Othello with him...now she runs a Kid fan site?! Meanwhile, Delon and the policemen have somehow shoved themselves all onto the elevator to head up to Anne's room. Kid asks for the Sun of Paris and Anne explains that it was entrusted to her by her father. Like in the manga, Kid explains he simply needs to borrow it for a short time and that it will be returned, requesting that Anne believe in him since "thieves don't like to lie". Belmonde then meows as he rubs against Kid's leg, much to Anne's surprise since Belmonde doesn't usually like anyone other than her. Anne explains that Belmonde is her best friend and that they go everywhere together, causing Kid to pause in thought before asking Anne for her help in performing magic. It's worth noting that in the manga Belmonde doesn't seem to like Kid.1 point

I had to rewrite it cuz my computer messed up when I tried to post it, but here's part four. (Hopefully still ok) Conan watched the sky, so much grayer than it had been in the morning, as the dove drew further away, thinking. Why are you interested in the case? he asked himself as the sense of being observed abated. Then he turned back to the Detective Boys, who were whispering amongst themselves. He couldn't hear everything, but Ayumi said at some point, "But what about Ai-chan?" Now Conan understood why he had felt so strongly that he was being followed. He mentally kicked himself for not realizing she was there. Had it been the Organization, Conan had no doubt he'd be dead already. "You brought Haibara, didn't you?" Although hesitant to answer, when Conan explained Ran's situation, they muttered, "Hai." He watched as Ayumi skipped around the righthand corner of the alleyway they stood in, calling, "Ai-chan, you can come out now! Ai-chan..." Moments later she returned, her eyes tearing up. "Ai-chan isn't here!" she whimpered. Conan stood frozen, staring at the ground. Vermouth? he thought. No, Haibara would have felt her presence and come out of hiding. Unless she decided to give herself up to protect them...He gazed at the Detective Boys for a moment, then back at his shoes. No. He would never let himself believe that. "I'm sure she's with Ran," he said, as much to convince himself as his friends. "Alright," Mitsuhiko and the others shouted, wearing ridiculously determined expressions. "Shounen tantei-dan are on the case!" With that they ran off in the direction of Agasa's house, and Conan watched them go with an amused half-smile. He was glad; Agasa would keep them out of danger, and as long as Haibara was with Ran, she was safe... for now. Ran, he thought. Wait for me. I'll be there by 9... Conan frowned and sprinted to Mouri-san's house, retrieving his skateboard, which he rode to the Haido City Shopping Mall. Hopping of the board, he jogged inside, heading straight to the bookshop where Ran was last seen. Conan went straight to the mystery section, scanning the shelves for, "The Hound of the Baskervilles," which he had asked Ran for from Shinichi's phone. His prized copy was still in Osaka after a case, and Hattori refused to return it unless Conan declared him a better detective. When he'd found the stack of novels, he studied each one, searching for a hidden clue or message from Ran. At the prickling between his shoulderblades, he glanced to eachside, but saw only a college-aged man in a gray jacket looking through the Agatha Christie novels. The man with red-brown hair and rectangular glasses shifted his stance as he examined a copy of "Death on the Nile. Conan stammered, "S-Subaru-san?" Okiya turned at the mention of his name, frowning as he saw who it was that had spoken to him. "Conan-kun? Shouldn't you be home eating dinner?" he asked. Dinner? His gaze flickered to his watch; 5:53. Damn! Only three hours left!"1 point

First off, GAH! I spent like an hour writing this and my computer sucks so of course it messed up right when I was about to finish. So now I am writing it again, but I can't remember everything...... A scene from the chapter: The Link Standing alone at the crime scene, Rin forced herself to study the lifeless form on the oak floor before her; It was Hinari Kyoko, the girl she'd met only hours before. Grimacing at the wound that had killed the girl, she remembered something Shinji had asked her on the day he was killed. Seiji and his sister Kira, Minoru, and Mura had all gone to the Haunted House at the theme park they'd been visiting. Shinji, seemingly deep in thought about the 14 gang's latest murders, had stayed behind with Rin, who had refused to set foot in the place. Apparently he knew why she'd remained outside, because he inquired, "Why did you become a detective if you hate blood?" Rin smiled an ironic, half-smile, and stared down at the table, remembering Suki's death. "I need to solve murders in order to punish those who spill blood. Also, by doing so, I can prevent other deaths and comfort the loved ones of those whose lives ended in pain." At Shinji's silence she glanced up to see him grinning from ear to ear. "You know, you're so sentimental. That along with your huge green eyes makes you seem like a girl sometimes," he laughed. But Rin couldn't remember what he'd said after that, and she shook her head, clearing her thoughts. Surveying the scene, she noticed the blue vase that sat on a chest-of-drawers against the wall near the body. It held a single black rose, beside which sat a notecard with smudged writing on it. Rin read it aloud. "This flower symbolizes my feelings about your kind. You are # 3." There was no signature, but Rin knew who had written it; the same one who'd sent Mikazuki Sakura and Ruuki Hina black roses and killed them only days later. In fact, she had known who murdered the girl the moment she saw the body; The woman had reddish-orange hair and sky-blue eyes, just like the two other victims. And like Suki, she thought. But the man who'd killed Suki couldn't have done this. She never got a warning, and there is no reason to kill once and wait two years to do it again. But the resemblance bothered her, likely because of Kira. Although two years older than her twin would ever be, she looked remarkably similar to the girl Rin had known her whole life, and looking at the body, she was reminded that anyone could be killed at any time. With this thought lingering in her mind, Rin recalled something one of her suspects had said about a picture they were shown of the first victim. It reminded them of a friend from Middle School. But none of the victims were at an age where they would have met that person in class. 'Middle School," she muttered. Then the murderer is Donnsuke Liu? But he has an alibi. He's been at the mall with..." She trailed off as she realized why three roses had been sent to Mikazuki-san, two to Ruuki-san, and one to Hinari-san, who were all killed. There's another one... she thought, and stopped cold. Rin whipped out her cell phone, dialing Seiji's number. She sprinted to the parking lot as the phone rang, hurriedly starting her rental car and driving toward where she knew the killer would be. By the time her classmate answered his phone, Rin's throat burned, and she had to calm herself before choking out, "Get to the mall now! Your sister is a target!" When she finally parked and practically leapt from the car, Rin muttered, "Damn. If Kira gets even one scratch..." She curled her right hand into a fist, bolting through the entrance and heading straight to the cafe area with fountains, Kira's favorite place. Already there and hidden from Kira's view, Mura, Seiji, and Minoru stood watching the two figures who sat chatting amiably at a nearby table. The lanky teen with a black ponytail was definitely Donnsuke. Rin joined them for a moment to whisper one thing to Seiji. "Don't worry." Then she stepped out from the cover of the advertisements, hoping Liu didn't know she'd figured everything out. "Hey, Kira!" she called, earning a terrified glance from Seiji and a frown from Donnsuke-san. "Shinichi-sama,? What are you doing here?" Kira replied. Rin approached their table, staying at a distance Liu seemed comfortable with, and lied. "This case is impossible, so I thought I'd come hang out with you guys and quit worrying about it." Liu now seemed to understand Rin's intentions, and stood, dragging Kira up with him, Before she could fight back he curled an arm around her throat, lifting her up slightly. Everyone who could see or hear the situation stayed far back, shocked. "Well, detective, I think you know what will happen if you move," he chuckled. Rin sighed and whispered, "It doesn't matter what Suki did for you in the past. Her death wasn't the fault of the girls you killed, and definitely of the one you won't be allowed to harm."Kira breathed in sharply as she realized what Rin had said. "You're a murderer," she breathed. Liu's smirk faded and he shouted, "They all should have died instead of Amari Suki-san. Those people who remind me she's gone..." Clenching his fist tightly, the teen added, "Screw this," and spun Kira to face him, still limiting her movement. His fist flashed toward Kira, and Rin had less than a second to think before she ran forward. Her only thought was, I have to protect her.1 point

The main problem with the theory "James is the boss" is why he hasn't used any of the FBI info to the Org's benefit. James knows info that would be fatal to Haibara, Conan, Kir, and possibly Vermouth. If the boss was a spy and he doesn't want the Org destroyed, why isn't he doing his job when he has the means to help maintain the Org's secrecy and remove active threats against them? James knows Haibara is the person called Sherry. (See Volume 42 File 11 discussing the witness protection offer the FBI made Haibara) No one in the Org besides Vermouth has shown any signs of knowing where Sherry is, so basically if James is the boss, he hasn't told anyone even though he directed his subordinates to go look for her. Why would the boss order his subordinates to hunt down Shiho, but not make any effort to help them, or even work against them by aiding the FBI and offering her witness protection? It doesn't make sense. James also knows about Conan and his effective interference with the Org's plans, but again, there has been no action on James' part. Conan was able to get the best of Vermouth with the FBI's help. He is a dangerous threat. In her intro chapters, Haibara told Conan that she thought the Org would kill him before she had the chance to study him; basically the Org's first priority is to stay secret and then get on with research. Also the boss was stated to be very cautious by Vermouth. Why is the boss risking so much by allowing Conan to run about freely and muck with Org plans? Also James knows Kir is a CIA mole. Why keep her around? Why can't the BO set a trap for her and kill her while she contacts the CIA, or pretend they caught her calling the CIA? Or knowing she was a CIA mole, couldn't he guess the plan that allowed Kir and Akai to fake Akai's death? (He knows how Camel escaped or could ask him later, and I presume Gin and Vodka have the video) Basically, James would know about the same amount of info as the readers. He should be able to figure it out if he is smart. If James was the boss, he would know that Vermouth made a move on Sherry, and that Vermouth not only failed to capture/kill her, she also lied about what she was doing and left a "witness" to her plans (Araide) alive. Vermouth made a very big slip-up here. Even if she is his favorite, why should he tolerate destructive-to-the-Organization behavior? I searched but couldn't find a source for that - I found a recent play, but not an original one. In any case, James Black's name may not be his real name; maybe James Black was having a bit of a joke with an alias. In any case, it would be kind of silly for Gosho to point out the name pun so obviously if he was the boss. It seems more like a red herring to make the Vermouth arc harder in my opinion. I don't remember this. You wouldn't be thinking of the damaged tape where Vodka disguises his voice and claims to be from "Kuro life insurance" on a message machine? The pause there was because the tape was damaged by an unrelated case culprit's trick. (If that is what you are remembering, Vodka was trying to lure out Hirota to kill him because of his connection to Akemi and therefore Shiho might try to use him to escape.) He was actively driving for a mission in Org vs. FBI; he pulled up alongside Kir while Jodie in the passenger seat leveled her gun at Kir. He also had a bomb in a pot of flowers delivered to him in Red vs. Black.Basically, to sum it up, with everything James knows, if he was the boss, it would be really easy to plan some kind of accidents for Conan and Haibara that would fool even the FBI, especially after the FBI apparently lost their trump card Akai. Maybe Gin and Vodka appear somewhere, Conan, being as predictable as he is, follows and they catch him following? For now, I believe the boss is a new character or one that has been only mentioned tangentially. My basic assumption is that the boss can't be anyone who has had more than passing contact with Haibara, because I would assume the boss would recognize her. Two of the three openings of the Angel Heart animated series (which lasted only for 50 episodes). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSsY8_H2feo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHyCEu3VB-w&feature=related Like the ambiance of the series, the style of music for the openings and endings of Angel Heart is very different from City Hunter's.1 point
