Hajime Kamegaki (亀垣 一 Kamegaki Hajime), born 21 august 1957, is a Japanese screenplay writer, film director, storyboard artist and producer famous for his movies. He was nominated at 2013 edition of the Japan Academy Film Prize for Animation of the Year for Lupin III vs. Detective Conan: The Movie.

Biography
Kamegaki graduated from the animation department of Tokyo Designer Gakuin Vocational School (専門学校東京デザイナー学院), presently known as Tokyo Cool Japan Vocational School. After he debuted as an animator via the anime Invincible Super Man Zambot 3 (無敵超人ザンボット3), he has worked at Studio Z and Studio Z5, and has directed countless works. Surprisingly, still active on the front lines for over 20 years. He often works with fellow anime director Osamu Nabeshima (鍋島 修), and is often in charge of direction and storyboarding. Furthermore, whenever he works with Hideyuki Motohashi, they share the penname Shuichi Kamemoto (亀本 秀一 Kamemoto Shūichi).
