Part 1

It started when the idol Risa Purple was having a concert, but in fail, they kidnapped Ran as Risa Purple.

Kidnapping

Location: Risa Purple special live show

Victim: Ran Mouri

Suspects: Two masked individuals

After the confusion caused by the sprinkler system going off, two assailants attempted to kidnap Risa. Ran dressed in her Risa cosplay charged the stage and tried fighting but was tazed and carried off by mistake by the culprits.

Suspects: Takichi Takeyama and Saburo Iharayo

Realizing that they've kidnapped the wrong target, Takeyama and Iharayo knock out Ran and take her to their illegal dump site in an attempt to bury her alive.

Part 2

While examining the email, Conan notices that the account on Facenet may be falsified. The suspicion falls on Risa's manager Yamane who previously made contact with Takeyama as he is angry with the latter actions toward Risa. As time is running out, Kogoro decides to appeal the public through Beika News Channel in order to reach the kidnappers and plead for them to release Ran.

In truth, the broadcast was made in an attempt to lure out the true mastermind, Bianca, into revealing the location of the dump site where Ran is confined by giving out false information that Ran's cellphone contains evidence incriminating her. The real evidence is in fact, Yamane's recorded message which contains the sound of her ringtone, confirming that she was unlocking the doorway for Takeyama and Iharayo to enter the stage area. The motive is her jealousy toward Risa, her former band member who was the only one managed to raise to stardom while she couldn't. They finally found the pit where is Ran and rescue her in time. The kidnappers are all arrested.
