Part 1
Part 1
With the intent of deliberating the conception of the stage drama utilizing Kogoro and Heiji as prototypes, Conan and the rest visit Kyoto, where the drama director resides. The producer, stage director, and screenwriter are also reunited. Heiji, after having a brief inspection of the screenplay, focused his attention on the fiancée of the main character who was based on Heiji. The fiancée, of course, was based on one of the individuals who tagged along: Momiji Ooka, who continues to claim that she is Heiji's fiancée. Heiji continues to scan through the screenplay, and he was convinced that the main character in the drama would have a wife. However, the self-proclaimed "Heiji's fiancée" has set a trap for Ran and Kazuha by providing a Kyoto Dessert Tour.
A play about Kogoro and Heiji is set to be produced in Kyoto, and the production staff have invited the detectives to Kabumoto’s house for script advice – with Conan simply tagging along. There is one alteration that catches Heiji’s attention – his counterpart is engaged, and Momiji comes in to confirm the fiancée is based on her. The change is confirmed by the director Kyosuke Kabumoto as the condition for her grandfather to invest in the play. He then introduces the second special guest – who surprisingly turns out to be Kuroda. Kuroda explains he just happened to have business in Kyoto, and decided to stop by at the Ooka home to offer congratulations to a retiring acquaintance, where Momiji then invited him to the event.

Meanwhile, Ran and Kazuha have been trying to eat as fast as possible in a Kyoto dessert tour they must finish, which was part of Momiji’s plan to get close to Heiji.

At the place where Kogoro's group is meeting, he and Heiji are shocked to learn that Kogoro takes the supporting roles for the main character, even though the script is almost consistent with the plagiarized sounding character names: Daigoro Mouri is played by Osamu Kenzaki and Heiichi Hattori is played by Hyoga Komoto respectively, while the character Heiichi will be engaged to will be played by Momiji Ooka. Then another director named Kyousuke Kabumoto comes in and explains the situation as to why the script had an engagement scene, and reveals another special guest who is Hyoue Kuroda. Meanwhile, Kazuha and Ran also understand this was Momiji's arrangement, with Iori reassuring that someone more trustworthy than him is also attending the event as well.
The pizza service comes to Kabumoto’s residence to deliver pizza, in which Kabumoto pays the money and volunteers to be the one cutting them. Kabumoto does not join in the pizza party because he is on a diet, and consumes a sleeping pill instead. The effect starts to take on when Kuroda is giving advice, thus, he has to leave early for a nap. He asks his three colleagues Myouji Karuo, Reisuke Inaba, and Shigeki Kimata to wake him up after 30-40 minutes and take every note of Kuroda's advice. Fifteen minutes later, they go to check up on his well-being and find him sleeping normally, in which they proceed to go down again.

Ran and Kazuha are still struggling to stop Momiji's plan, meanwhile, outside the film crew building, the pizza delivery guy arrives and everyone starts to share their pizzas, except for Kabumoto because he's on a diet. While eating, Kuroda comments on the detail of the Japanese policeman bribing with... candy, because for him, bribing isn't just limited to money. Afterwards, Kabumoto decides to go to sleep since the sleeping pills he took have taken effect and asks everyone to wake him up 30-40 minutes later.

After a while, after giving advice, Kuroda is about to leave because he has some works to do, but suddenly remembers something and asks everyone about an actress who committed suicide and had a close relationship with Kabumoto named Ninka Gyōda, there the colleagues mention the aftereffects of her suicide and the role she was supposed to play in this movie. However, when everyone is about to let Kuroda say goodbye to Kabumoto, they discovered that the door wouldn't open, just like the scene of Gyōda's suicide, at that time Conan and Heiji take the ladder that everyone mentions to enter the room through the window, with Kuroda (and later, Kogoro) also following and he destroys the balcony door to enter the scene.

Fast forward, Kuroda has finished with the feedback and decides to leave for his business. Suddenly, he reminds everyone of the suicide of Ninka Gyouda, who was reportedly close to Kabumoto, and asks if anyone heard or knew a possible motive. Kabumoto’s colleagues can’t figure out any possible motive, but remind how it affects him in particular and the whole play in general. Everyone arrives at Kabumoto's room to inform Kuroda’s departure, but they find the door stuck and some fabric of Kabumoto's clothes, which is similar to that before everyone discovered Gyouda's body. Upon getting inside the room using the route on the balcony, they find Kabumoto dead due to cyanide poisoning.

Inspector Ayanokoji arrives per request, narrates the events before they discovered the body, and questions what everyone did before it. Stage director Shigeki Kimata testifies that the playwright Reisuke Inaba tried to open the door, but failed because of the corpse blocking the way; the producer Myouji Karuo adds in that everyone was worried the tragedy happened to Gyouda would happen to their colleague, so they went outside to look in for the window. At first, Ayanokoji believes this is another suicide, but Conan and Heiji point out it is not: "They found a bottle of powdered cyanide and a poisoned bottle of water near Kabumoto's corpse. If one wants to commit suicide with powdered cyanide and a bottle of water, they need to somehow put it inside and shake it so it dissolves. However, the duo couldn't find traces of powdered cyanide on every spoon of the room or the bottle itself, meaning the bottle was poisoned outside the scene."

Inspector Ayanokoji, after arriving at the scene, recounts what has happened and begins questioning everyone about their actions at the time: Inaba was the one who opened the hallway door, but only partially, with Kimata confirming this; not to mention that he immediately recognized the piece of cloth as the shirt Kabumoto was wearing at the time; Karuo now felt worried about him, remembering the same thing that happened to Gyōda, so everyone decided to check on him through the window when they discovered the body. Ayanokoji concludes that this was a locked room scene and a suicide, but Conan and Heiji say that this was not a suicide because:
Since the case is concluded to be a murder, everyone else beside Conan is the suspects. Initially, Heiji and Kogoro mention that both Karuo, Inaba, and Kimata went to Kabumoto's room 15 minutes after he fell asleep, thinking that either of them poisoned him. But it turns out they were just checking on his well-being, and did not find any poisoned items like what the duo was implying. Momiji claims she was hugging Heiji's arm most of the time, causing him to feel her big chest.
*There was no spoon to put the powdered poison at the scene and there were no traces of poison on the bottle's seal if the powder had been poured into the bottle.
*The inside of the bottle cap was dry because if you wanted to mix the powdered poison, you had to shake it well before drinking it.

That means everyone here will be suspects (except for Conan, apparently), first Heiji and Kogoro mentions that the victim's three co-workers went to the victim's room 15 minutes after he fell asleep, but in reality they came to check on the situation and didn't see the bottle of water or the poison that Heiji and Kogoro were implying. Next is the remaining group consisting of Kogoro, Kuroda, Conan, Heiji and Momiji, with Momiji claiming that she was with Heiji while hugging his arm, causing him to feel her big chest. Meanwhile Kazuha is seen worrying about Heiji but she and Ran couldn't go back right away because they still have to visit the shops following the original plan arranged by Momiji.

Part 2
Part 2
As for the poison, it was clear, but another question is what occasion caused Kabumoto to consume another sleeping pill because the type he used might not be effective enough for the killer to take advantage of and kill the victim. However, today, no one saw him consume coffee or pizza, not to mention he was very sensitive when it came to lollipops because he once was angry right after tasting the lollipop that the three of them had switched to tease him. Kuroda questioned whether he really didn't eat pizza because in addition to the smell of almonds, he could smell pizza in his mouth, even though he was abstaining; and asked about pets because he kept smelling a faint scent of wild animals, which startles Ayanokoji and makes him turn around and tell Maro to be patient in his pocket, with her agreeing that.
With the case being concluded as a murder in mind, Ayanokoji raises several questions: Was Kabumoto napping part of the culprit’s plan? If so, could they count on the medication he took? Moreover, what if he completely forgot to take the medicine or its effect did not take on at the right moment? In other words, Kabumoto was given another sleeping medication without knowing so. There are some consumables that were consumed throughout the day:

Meanwhile, Ran and Kazuha, who have just arrived at the next restaurant, start to eat immediately, to the tour guide's surprise, while Iori is just looking around as if it was a habit, according to him. Back to the case, the three main suspects recall the time when Gyouda's suicide had a profound impact on Kabumoto, even causing the show that everyone is participating in today to not happen, but for some reason after looking at the lollipop he was eating. But speaking of it, Momiji remembers that one of the lollipops that Kogoro accidentally dropped bounced up and down without making a sound, thanks to which Heiji and Conan learned the true truth of the incident.
# Pizza or cups of coffee – Kabumoto did not consume pizza during the party, and everyone chose one cup randomly from a tray, so the case of him consuming the sleeping pills was not guaranteed, even if he joined in the pizza party.
# Lollipops – we have only seen him consuming these so far. However, both Karuo, Inaba, and Kimata confirm he only does so with one specific type of lollipop, and he would have noticed the sleeping pills if they were coated in one. This is because the three were scolded once when they switched one lollipop of his with another type as a prank.

Conan and Heiji bought a pizza and a mysterious item that they assumed was used to create the locked room scene. However, while in the kitchen to perform the victim's trick of eating pizza, Momiji comes in and offers to cut the pizza with a knife in the kitchen cabinet, but she holds it backward and trips over a nearby bag of rice, forcing Heiji to come to the rescue and accidentally creates another unforgettable incident. Meanwhile, Kazuha and Ran have three more places to eat, but Kazuha realizes that she should enjoy the food instead of eating it quickly and apologizes to Ran, convinced that the trap wouldn't work on Heiji. Back in the kitchen, Conan has to remind the other two to return to the case so Heiji could escape the fate of losing his first kiss, but we probably won't forget that incident, right?
They also reveal Kabumoto was told to follow the diet one year ago, which disappointed him a lot, though he always volunteers to cut the pizza. Funny enough, his weight has remained the same since. Kuroda doubts if Kabumoto consumed any of the pizza earlier because he smelt those in his mouth. The remaining production staff once again recall how Gyouda’s death almost impacted Kabumoto into cancelling the meeting today, until something sparked his imagination when he was looking at his lollipop. The lollipop reminds Momiji that one of the lollipops from the bowl Kogoro accidentally dropped when he went inside bounced without making sounds, which makes Heiji and Conan figure out how the murder was carried out.

Pizza slices and sleeping potion
Off-screen, Heiji and Conan have gone out to buy items needed to create the scene. They return with a pizza box, a pizza cutter, a handkerchief, and a rubber ball just in time when Kabumoto’s colleagues wish to leave the house. They went to the kitchen to prepare the pizza first while the other items remain undisclosed. Suddenly, Momiji comes into the kitchen to offer help as she holds the kitchen knife backward, but she stumbles on a bag of rice and drops the tool midair. Heiji has to save her, resulting in them landing in an awkward position. Momiji tries to kiss him while in that position, but is stopped by Conan as he reminds there is a case that needs both detectives to solve.
Kabumoto often “gutted” the pizza by cutting a long, thin slice from the middle of the pizza so that no one would notice that the pizza had been stolen. Inaba knew about this habit, so he just sprinkled sleeping pills in the middle, and any kind of theft would inevitably result in consuming more sleeping pills.

clear
Heiji goes back again with the pizza he cut and asks everyone if it looks like it was cut normally, to which Kogoro doubts because of the words “look like”. Conan then presents a pizza slice and reveals it is from the pizza they cut. From there, Kuroda deduces that Kabumoto volunteers to cut the pizza so that he can gut them by cutting a long, thin slice in the middle, and that the culprit used this to make him fall asleep by sprinkling sleeping pills in the middle of each pizza. Each of Kabumoto’s colleagues could do this, so Heiji tells everyone to move on to the door.

Locked room scene murder
As for the door, it wasn't actually stuck in the first place, but he had grabbed the doorknob and kicked it to fool everyone's hearing; the cloth was arranged by Inaba after he and his two colleagues went to check on Kabumoto. Things then progressed smoothly when Kimata noticed the cloth first and helped Inaba place a rubber ball between the door and the doorstop, causing it to actually get stuck, thus creating a locked room scene. To open that door, you just need to pull and push slowly and it will work.

clear
The culprit is Reisuke Inaba, by the way. He was the one suggesting his colleagues to check on Kabumoto’s well-being as an excuse to put the handkerchief under the door, and put the rubber ball between the door stop and the floor. The size of the rubber ball MUST be the same or slightly larger than the gap between that door stop and the floor so that it can get stuck between the door and the floor due to friction. Inaba was also the one to open the door, which was stuck due to the rubber ball, and would have pointed out the handkerchief to make everyone believe Kabumoto’s dead body is blocking the door if Kimata hadn’t done so. And when everyone was trying to get in using the balcony route, he forced the victim into digesting the poison. Then, he disguised the ball into a lollipop, having taped the wrapper bare-handed. Inaba was also the one behind Gyouda’s death, using the same method.

However, while everyone was trying to approach Kabumoto through the window, Inaba actually killed the victim and then hid the rubber ball as a lollipop. Ironically, because Kogoro carelessly dropped the lollipops on the table, Momiji realized that one of the lollipops was bouncing and didn't make a sound.
Motive
He killed Gyouda because she threatened to reveal their affair if he didn't divorce his wife. He killed Kabumoto because of his insanity, as he told him to write scripts with outrageous authenticity or he would report to the police.

Aftermath
Aftermath
That afternoon, Kazuha and Ran's group have finally finished the unplanned buffet and are taken to Kabumoto's house, where the crime scene had taken place. When they get off the bus, they see the police car, Heiji and Inspector Ayanokoji, who is escorting Inaba to the station, and when Kazuha wants to ask Heiji about what had happened, Momiji butts in and talks about the case and that oh my gosh incident in a positive way. This of course makes Kazuha furious.
The case is over as Heiji and Ayanokoji come out with Inaba, who is about to be escorted to the police station for his crime. Ran and Kazuha coincidentally come to Kabumoto's residence after having finished the unplanned buffet, and witness the scene, so Kazuha comes to ask Heiji what happened. Momiji butts in and talks about the development between her and Heiji, making Kazuha furious about Heiji.

Meanwhile, Iori keeps looking somewhere to see if he's being followed under Kuroda's notice, the two then start talking to each other while Conan listens in. From there we learn that Iori is a former police officer named Sakakibara and that his past still seems to be painful to him even now. Also Kuroda asks if he visited the blond guy, referring to Amuro, and he says yes and says that although he's still haunted by the past, it's not that bad. Suddenly, a car with two strange men, one of whom is on a respirator, insults that the police are just idiots.

Meanwhile, Kuroda spots Iori keep looking somewhere, and reaches out to him while Conan listens in. We learn that Iori was once a police officer under the codename Sakakibara, and learn from his perspective that his past was painful to this day. In addition, Kuroda asks if Iori visited the blond guy, whom we believe to be Rei, to which he confirms he did. Suddenly, a car with two strange men drives past, with the one in the respirator insulting the police that they are just useless. Conan is terrified with the appearance.

Suicide? (past)
Location: Ninka Gyouda's house, Osaka
Victim: Ninka Gyouda
Time: Two days ago

Before Kuroda leaves for his other business in Kyoto, he inquires Kabumoto's colleagues about Ninka Gyouda, whom he was a fan of.

Fast forward, Kuroda has finished with the feedback and decides to leave for his business. Murder
Location: Kyousuke Kabumoto's house, Kyoto
Victim: Kyousuke Kabumoto
Age: 52 years old
Cause of death: Cyanide poisoning
Suspects: Myouji Karuo, Reisuke Inaba and Shigeki Kimata
The victim's mouth smelled of almonds, possibly from drinking a spilled bottle of water mixed with what appeared to be a powdered poison. In addition, there were an unusual number of lollipops in the victim's room.

Since the case is concluded to be a murder, everyone else beside Conan is the suspects. Initially, Heiji and Kogoro mention that both Karuo, Inaba, and Kimata went to Kabumoto's room 15 minutes after he fell asleep, thinking that either of them poisoned him.
