There is actually no poison in the wine, and Kobayakawa was acting. The poison is from the water Sasano gave Kobayakawa after he collapsed. Sasano also gets rid of the glass containing poisonous water by dropping it above the glass containing wine. The motive is to shut him up about the accident that caused the death of the first president, which was planned by both Sasano and Kobayakawa. Unfortunately, one of the guests, Akira Enoshima, is a doctor, who may see through the act. Sasano sent a fake urgent message to Enoshima so that he would move away from the scene. The evidence is the undeleted message on Sasano's phone.</spoiler> |
