Case

Situation

When a pretty girl hires Detective Mouri to help her find an old flame, it seems like a routine case. But when Conan finds out that the man she is looking for was responsible for the death of her fiancé, he realizes that romance is the farthest thing from her mind. What is she planning to do?

Accident (Past)

Location: Near Shinshūshin town Victim: Tatsuo Yamaguchi Cause of death: Car crash and explosion Culprit: Tsuyoshi Kitagawa and Naomi Noriko and Tatsuo were hounded by a red sports car (Toyota Celica Liftback) while driving on some cliffs. The driver, Tatsuo, lost control of his Green Subaru Legacy Outback. After wrecking, the gas tank exploded. A group of bystanders managed to help Noriko escape in time, but Tatsuo was burnt alive.

Conan is showing the cactuses to Noriko Okaya.

It's revealed that Noriko Okaya planned to kill Tsuyoshi Kitagawa and his fiancée, to punish them for causing the death of her lover Tastsuo. Dr. Saeki, the late Tatsuo's best friend and Noriko's treating doctor, explains her past to Conan and the Mouris.

Attempted Murder/Suicide

Location: Roof of a building Victims: Tsuyoshi Kitagawa and his fiancée Crime: Arson Culprit: Noriko Okaya Having found Kitagawa and his fiancé working on a sculpture in a rooftop, Noriko attacks them with pepper gas and then douses the two of them with gasoline. Kitagawa tells her to stop and warns her that she'll burn to death too, but Noriko doesn't care and says that she'll burn with them so she can be with Tatsuo again.

Conan, however, appearsa with Dr. Saeki and brings her beautiful cacti that belonged to Tatsuo, and now are kept safe by Dr. Saeki. They manage to convince Noriko to not kill the Kitagawas and herself.
