I never got the point of putting emphasis on post counts, while at the same time claiming that everybody is here for discussion and not spamming to get higher post counts, when putting in a system like this would just encourage post spamming (worse than it already is : V)

I agree. And this would be more applicable if the site isn't this active like before.

This. I've said something similar to that before.

How about titling members based on both post counts and reputations, not only post counts ? That way, to be able to reach "a new level", a member must also dedicate, not just spamming around to gain more posts.

Then people will ask, in PM and on the forums, for people to give them reps. It'll simply spam the system : V

(wtf is wrong with my keyboard)

Well what if DC made more people Admins and Mods. It would help people maintain the site as well as stop more spammers

I'm pretty sure we're keeping things under control as-is. I don't see how creating more admins and mods is going to solve the problem that Parkur presented us with.

Not only will people exchange reps with one another (make deals through PMing like what Parkur said), but there may also be the issue of multiple account making. It would be a new form of spamming if reps were to determine member titles.

Having ranks for # of posts/reps will only provoke more spamming, so I think we should keep the "member title" system the way it is for now.

If anything, there should be some sort of ranking system based on how long a member has been on DCW.
