  1. Just to let you know, I'm going to try and record it. So watch what you can and hopefully I'll be able to send you the rest. But still seeing it live is <3<3<3
  2. B'z are capable of making awesome ballads too. Just look at Kienai-Niji, One, Gold, Ocean just to name a few. All awesome songs all slower paced. B'z can make a wide range of songs. I have no doubt that this ED will be just as good as their OPs. This summer is the summer of B'z HYPE! New single, new album, making official Facebook page, making an official twitter, coming to NA AND on top of all that they are broadcasting one of those concerts live over the internet, and that is not to mention the secret concert with Linkin Park. Lets see if they can continue the hype to the end of the year!
  3. Funny you should mention Linkin Park... http://www.give2gether.com/projects/music-for-relief/ <-- Yeah... B'z and Linkin Park will be sharing the same stage. If that helps sell how awesome they are. Or how about this lovely video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFR2UoZff-8 You know what? That isn't enough... What about them playing with Steve Vai in the song Asian Sky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpq9Yx5nMH4 Yeah... They are that good.
  4. O_O!!! Well, glad you asked First, let's start outside of the world of Detective Conan... The B'z are a well known Japanese band comprised of two members, Koshi Inaba (vocalist) and Tak Matsumoto (Guitarist). They started in the late 80s, and since then have released a number of CDs. They have a current track record of 45 CONSECUTIVE #1 Singles and 23 CONSECUTIVE #1 Albums. They are the first and only Japanese Rock band to be placed on the Hollywood Rock Walk of Fame so far. And they have gone through many transitions as a band with one constant, which is great music. (By that I mean they have tried out several styles of music and been successful in their tries) Within Detective Conan they have done 3 Openings thus far, Shoudou, Giri Giri Chop, and Don't Wanna Lie... They have also done several Movie themes which are One, Everlasting and Yuruginai mono hitotsu. Not including Don't Wanna Lie again for movie 15. They will also be doing an ED for Detective Conan next month.
  5. OK! SO this topic needs to be revised! B'z ARE COMING BACK TO THE USA THIS YEAR! This fall! Both coasts will be visited! Canada and the USA both. EPIC HYPE TIME! Anyone who is in the area of any of the concerts should go! -Kyuu
  6. Does Korean funk count because my favorite Korean band has to be Bulldog Mansion.
  7. -takes deep breath- Has a girlfriend? Wow, I never knew having a girlfriend instantly made you not gay. Let me call all the married gay men who are still in the closet because they want to seem normal! (Fact: there are a lot of gay men and women who marry the opposite sex because they don't want to be ridiculed or worse) Can sing? THE GUY USES AUTOTUNE! That instantly invalidates any talent he may or may not have. Listen to pray? Just did, made it less than 30 seconds because I couldn't stand the autotune. And realized making nice songs does not make someone not be a complete and utter asshole. Yes he is, he is also a pompous jerk. He is the only other pop star that actually angers me like Kesha does... He is very successful, no idea what sort of bearing that has on his future though. Come back when he passes the "OMG ITS JUSTIN BIEBER" stage of his career. You know the same wall that has destroyed every other tween idol group in the past. Just because someone is popular in the current state and time does not mean the popularity will remain. Also... where do you get 29 albums from? HE HAS ONE SINGLE STUDIO ALBUM! ONE! ONLY ONE! (I think I should repeat "ONE" a few more times because I have NO flipping clue where the hell you get 29 from, but I'll leave it at 3, 4 if you include this parenthesis) (Never mind, I figured out where, please continue reading on where I'll scold you for that HUGE oversight). He does have 13 music videos though (those aren't albums though)... Seven singles... still not albums... BUT! at least they are physical media that is seen in stores. One EP (bit larger than a Single, but smaller than an album, stands for Extended Play) Four digital singles (so, so far he has 11 singles all tallied up, which by the way are STILL not albums) And was FEATURED in three other singles (so they weren't his singles per say...) SO lets do some math... EVEN IF WE ADD ALL OF HIS OWN PERSONAL WORK, we come to a number of THIRTEEN released "albums" (most of which are singles) Lets put that into perspective shall we? Lets take a GOOD band that had a similar effect from the 60s. It was a little known group called The Beatles (perhaps you have heard of them) So! by the time they were three years into their careers, much like Justin Bieber (most of them were the same age too minus Ringo)), they had released 10 FULL STUDIO ALBUMS (Mind you that is just up until the same point Justin Bieber is at, midway though the summer), 3 Compilation Albums, 12 EPs, and 17 Singles (I only counted about half from 1964). Many of their songs and singles hit #1 and they were an international sensation. Compare numbers (I won't include films because THEY ARE MUSICIANS! WHO CARES ABOUT ACTING! I WANT TO HEAR MUSIC!) 42 "albums" for the Beatles and 13 "albums" for Bieber... Mind you as I have explained, Beiber actually only has ONE album, and the Beatles had 10, by the same point in their career. So you can defend Bieber all you want, but don't bring in research unless you know what you are talking about, please? All it does is make you look like a fool... Like just because when you add up the numbers under "releases" in Wikipedia you come to a number, does not mean those are all albums, or all physical releases... There are words next to them that signify their importance. You should keep that in mind. Granted he did break his foot and continue on with the show, which is commendable. But still... He does not deserve the praise he is getting. He just doesn't. There are more talented people out there that deserve more praise than him. I do apologize if this all sounded a bit harsh... I do realize that you are 11 (or so I could gather from your profile, I do so hope you are not a 40 year old single balding guy as internet lore would lead me to believe) and were born after the age of Rock, Punk, Grunge and Metal had their peak in popularity. I do hope you have a nice day, and please, in 10 years when you look back on your collection of Justin Bieber merchandise, I hope you remember it fondly like most people my age do about (if female) The Backstreet Boys and N'Sync and (if male (I suppose female too)) The Spice girls. And in the unlikely event that he is still around, I'll be sure to congratulate him on beating the odds, because as it stands, I only see one pop idol doing that, which is Lady Gaga, and I don't even harbor that much hope for her either. Have a fantastic day And I'll continue listening to good music like the B'z, Stevie Salas, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani among others who are still releasing music. I'll also continue ignoring Justin Bieber, calling him "Beaver" whenever I refer to him, and gleefully hating him.
  8. I have, and I regret seeing it in theaters. Because I saw it, I have decided to not see the new one. God I never wished so much that I didn't see a movie in theaters IN MY LIFE. If not the worst movie of the decade, then it is at the very least the worst Box office hit of the decade.
  9. Of the Holy Grail? It is fantastically awesome and hilarious. (you should totally see it) Why ask something to which you already know the answer to?
  10. Oh come on! Has no one seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail?
  11. I have no idea... perhaps something ironic... All I know is that I wouldn't dwell on it, that is if it really was my "last sentence." What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
  12. Fact: Ranger and I have single-handedly saved this thread. Good job sir! -Salutes Ranger- Now for everyone else who has posted in this thread... You should go out and see the movies that Ranger and I have listed. (Also Revenge of the Fallen is one of the worst movies of the decade... It has a whopping 20% on Rotten Tomatoes)
  13. And you don't think creating a drug that was supposed to kill is good enough reason for Conan to not trust Ai? Or being previously part of a huge crime syndicate and not knowing how loyal she may be to them still? Honestly, they have more reason to be distrustful of each other than Shinichi has to be distrustful towards Ran. The distrust they have between each other is founded on each other's past. Likely Ai feels that if she tells Shinichi anything he will either get himself killed or many more people killed by using it to attack the BO. Go back to the whole Pandora's box reference she made before to the Boss's mail box or phone number or whatever that is... Her knowledge of the Org is the same, Pandora's box that shouldn't be opened (or so she probably thinks). We are also assuming that she knows more than she may actually know. We don't know exactly what she knows or how high her clearance was in the org. She may only know about things within the science division. Shinichi it is a simple matter of Ai being PART OF THE ORGANIZATION THAT TRIED TO KILL HIM. And has killed many others. Not only that, but she was brought up within the org, so he has no idea how warped her mind is. For all he knows she could be biding her time until she can turn him in and reclaim her place in the org by taking down the FBI and their greatest threat at the same time. On the other hand... Shinichi has NO reason to be distrustful of Ran. He could say that he did it to protect her, but again, based on everything he has seen and done with the FBI against the BO, he should have realized by now that it likely wouldn't do much good. Especially since she has already nearly gotten herself KILLED by the BO without knowing anything. He should know that it is likely that she would get involved even if she doesn't know anything. The first time she was lucky that it was Vermouth as the adversary, but if the next time she runs out to help Conan or Ai, she could be faced with Gin who will kill her on the spot. He is not protecting her from the BO, just making her charge in blind. He is, at this point, merely justifying his lies to her. And I suspect if she finds out, she will feel the exact same way. As for interests, their interests are different but their goals are the same. In other words, scientists attempt to understand the world through experimentation, and detectives try to find the truth. Basically both are doing the same thing in their own right. On top of that, Shinichi would probably like Shiho to teach him more about science so that he could become more like his hero Sherlock Holmes. Granted, neither Shiho nor Ran share many overlapping interests with that detective maniac that is Shinichi. If you want that compatibility, he might be better off marrying his father's library and be done with it, since that is the only thing we have seen in the series that shares all of his interests. And traits...? Really Shiho's traits were built for her by the BO. She might be able to change that. As for tastes... Have we really seen what Shiho's tastes are? We don't know much about her childhood. Gosho isn't anywhere NEAR done developing Haibara. Where as Ran was done developing from the start. @Holmes: What you feel is the same thing that Gosho made you feel. Which is why, I know that Shinichi and Ran will be together in the end. Gosho has made that abundantly clear. I just feel that Shiho is more suited to Shinichi.
  14. That may be all well and good... But you are missing an important point... They may be telling lies to each other, and keeping secrets... BUT! As it is right now... Conan/Shinichi is living a lie with Ran. Ran may trust him now, but how long will that trust last if she ever finds out about Conan being Shinichi? And clearly Shinichi doesn't trust Ran with the truth. Whether or not it will protect her is unknown, because if the BO is as ruthless as they are made out to be, the mere fact that Conan/Shinichi is living with them means that they'll probably go after them anyway. Perhaps its because she might go to the police, but then that would be not telling her because he doesn't trust her. So we are back at square one...
  15. [insert mandatory "the cake is a lie" joke here] Also @sayomi: The problem is that they are still teenagers. Honestly... Also the fact that they fight constantly, and actually do have a pretty volatile relationship is pretty evident of their incompatibility. I stated previously that Gosho purposefully made her into the typical Japanese woman. That is not a good match up for Shinichi.
  16. THAT IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT KNOWING AWESOME MOVIES! Also... most of the movies that were posted in this thread were not war movies at all.... More sci-fi/fantasy action films...
  17. What... No mention of Patton, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket or To Hell and Back??? (BTW, the main character in To Hell and Back was such a badass the ONLY person they could get to play him was the actual soldier that the story was about) If you people have not checked out these movies, and you like war movies, GO WATCH THEM NOW!
  18. Hiromi Uehara - XYZ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6pgM-NVfWg (<3 Jazz)
  19. Read my list, perhaps you'll remember some... I'm about to add some more from your list as well
  20. I LOVE Baccano. There is no hero but I like almost all of the characters! Ennis, Jacuzzi, Nice, Firo... <3<3<3 And they did amazing with the dub, adding in NY mob slang so brilliantly. (I actually kinda liked the dub more than the sub, which is rare for me)
  21. Baccano is hardly childhood... it only came out 4 years ago.... Are you that young?
  22. -takes deep breath- Lets begin... there will not be only one and there will be no explanations... I will go up to when I was a teenager because I was still a kid... - Batman: The animated series - X-Men: The Animated Series - Pirates of Dark Water - GI Joe - Mr Wizard (I still like Mr Wizard more than Bill Nye) - ThunderCats - Peter Pan and the Pirates - Rocko's Modern Life - Aahhh Real Monsters - Are You Afraid of the Dark? - Sonic the Hedgehog (the one where they were a rebel group trying to win the world back from Dr. Robotnik) - The Adventures of Pete and Pete - Hey Arnold - The Angry Beavers - The Looney Toons - Tiny Toon Adventures - The Muppet Show - Jackie Chan Adventures (but only for Jackie Chan) (Man I haven't even made it into Anime yet) - Bill Nye the Science Guy - Clarissa Explains it All - THE ANIMANIACS - Freakazoid - Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers - Darkwing Duck - Ducktales (the only thing I remember is the theme song) - Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? - Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? - Pretty much all of the Nickelodeon game shows from the late 80s and 90s. - The Secret Life of Alex Mack (Still not on anime...) - The REAL Ghostbusters - The Tick - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Samurai Jack - Transformers - Sesame Street (No one can tell me that you did not love this show when you were a kid! It was probably one of the first shows you ever saw, and highly concentrated with nostalgia) - Fraggle Rock - Eureka's Castle - Animorphs - Wild Thornberries - Johnny Bravo - Pinky and the Brain - Tom and Jerry - Kablam! - Dexter's Lab - The PowerPuff Girls (Is it time for anime? yes... I think so) - Zoids - DBZ (how I sat through all of it as a kid is beyond me) - Voltron - Gundam Wing - Yugioh - Ruroni Kenshin - Yu Yu Hakusho - Ronin Warriors And I am blanking on the other anime that I grew up with.... >_> Sorry...
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a01QQZyl-_I Under Pressure - Queen feat. David Bowie And damn that vanilla ice for ripping off the beginning for ice ice baby!
  24. Hm... yeah... Really it was just a possibility. I knew it wasn't viable, and if the camera was on the collar it wouldn't matter in the slightest if she was asked to look around, because he wouldn't be able to see the movement, unless the camera was attached to the head. The collar doesn't move when the head moves. As for talking, we can assume that it is a radio because a small camera like that generally doesn't have a microphone. So therefore they would have separate signals and thus she could wait and respond. And any additional waiting would be because "she hesitated." In which case Gin would be weary but ultimately not care because the job would be done anyway, but he would likely trust her a bit less... As for the bomb... that was real, and could be set up after the shooting. So that wouldn't matter. (At this point I'm just providing counterpoint, I knew when I posted it it wasn't viable) And yeah... I'm aware of the pretty little gunshot trope... And it annoys me to no end.... THAT ISN'T HOW IT WORKS! (Which is part of the reason I stated it... I'd hope for the major death of a main character Gosho would at least allude to a large exit wound, but not show it)
  25. It is not uncommon for writers to draw what they want you to see and explain it later on from a different perspective that explains everything. This is especially true in mysteries. And I admitted that the hijacking would have a high failure possibility, I just offered that as yet another possibility. For all we know the BO could have a standard issue gun, which would allow for easy copying of the gun. It is not uncommon for groups to do that, even terrorist groups and criminal organizations. And that is why I said the FBI would have the capability to do it. Unless the BO was doing an active AES encryption of the signal (which I have heard a live video signal is difficult to do that for), the FBI should be able to have the equipment to do a frequency sweep and break any encryption the BO had on the fly, especially if they set up prior. That is assuming the BO was expecting for them to do something like that, which isn't likely. So the possibility of encryption is probably slim. Though this likelihood is even more slim, and it was really something to think about. Also... This works against Akai... But... I'd think that Gin would be suspicious if he didn't see grey matter splattered everywhere from a point blank head shot. The exit wound wouldn't be that small (depending on the caliber), unless the bullet was a hollow point, in which case there would be no exit wound. (BTW Chek, I still say we don't have enough information to do a complete analysis and a lot we say is conjecture based on what we perceive based on what Gosho has chosen to give us)
