After quite the wait, the 35th opening for Deetective Conan has been announced! Set to air on the 681st episode (Jan. 5), it is titled TRY AGAIN and will be sung by the very much familiar singer Mai Kuraki. I'm personally hoping for some more BO scenes because the plot is finally starting to pick up. EDIT--- Youtube links to opening in posts 8 and 9!

The 15th movie was a "survival mystery"... and the next odd-numbered movie is going to be a... I'll do a quick analysis of the trailer, but it won't be detailed because most of these scenes looked so rushed when animated I doubt they'll use more than half of them in the actual movie.

"Private Eye"? Ran in danger? Takes place on a ship? Sounds like every bad idea from previous movies put together.

It is possible to read it all. Maybe she's an exception, but I know someone who read all the current chapters in a month. And she still managed to keep her grades up. But of course, reading a little at a time will get the job done eventually. Put in the time and it's worth it. Give it a go!

MAJOR UPDATE The announcement trailer for M-17 has finally been posted on YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7xCKUdOl1I It seems that the sources have been accurate. The short clip shows a dark, foggy sea and just as the camera zooms in through the "Production of Movie 17 Confirmed!" text, a ship materializes out of nowhere (that's where the "rises out of a dark sea" must have come from). Also, the "illumination" mentioned is what appears to be a full moon over-glared. There also appears to be an island in the distance, which none of the sources mentioned. It doesn't appear to be a submarine (as some people suggested...) and it also doesn't look at all like the St. Aphrodite from M-9. After a close comparison, they're different shapes. The way the ship appears out of nowhere is interesting and the music gives it a very "ghost ship" feel. If the producers decide to take that route, I'm going to be really excited.
