File 010 - An Advantageous Shadow
New gadget
Conan start his first school, as 1st grader Conan, getting bored in 1+1 mathematical class. During outdoor activity session, he try his new gadget Prof. Agasa gave to him earlier (Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes) using moderate power while playing soccer. To his shock, as well as his classmates, the ball shoot through net and knock over one big tree.
On his way home, he finds Mouri shadowing someone. After 3 days, Mouri receives 500,000 yen wage. That night, a hot news suddenly announced on television, stating that Masaki, 42 was murdered in fire of some festival. Masaki is the target that had been followed by Mouri.
File 011 - A Perfect Alibi
Upon hearing the news, Mori, Ran and Conan went to the police station. There, they met the person who hired Mori to tail Negishi, who is Yutaku Abe. He received 500 million yen as an insurance policy for the death of Negishi.He said that his reason to hire Mori was that Negishi have been babling about his life being in danger lately. Although all the clues points as Yutaku as the murderer, he has a perfect Alibi and that is being out of the country. After reaching the Detective Agency again, they started investigating the case by looking at the photos of Yutaku's trip and those Mori took while tailing Negishi. In the midst of that, Mori started suspecting Conan but he mixed all the photos together which drove Mori away from that thought. But soon later Conan noticed something about all the photos.

At school, Conan is roped into going to explore a haunted house by Ayumi and Genta. They also force Mitsuhiko to go too. During their exploration of the house and grounds, Mitsuhiko disappears with a loud scream while he's in the bathroom. When Conan leaves Genta and Ayumi alone in a room for safety while he investigates, Genta doesn't listen and disappears too.
