Plot
Conan, Kogoro, Ran and the Detective Boys are invited to visit a client in a hotel beside a theme park called Miracle land. Once they reach the Hotel a worker there brings them to a meeting room on the top floor and tells them to sit down on these chairs while he goes to get something. When he comes back he gives everyone a free ID bracelet which shows the time and allows free food and drinks as well as free entry. Ran and the kids leave but the man tells Mouri and Conan to stay. The man closes the blinds and turns off the lights when a T.V. screen turns on in the room. The client who hired Kogoro appears on a television in the room and tells them they must solve a mystery. To make sure that they have to accept he tells them that the watches everyone has on cannot come off and if they fail to discover the culprit then they blow up. He also tells them that they have GPS systems on them so if one of the kids leave the park or ride the Super Snake (the main attraction that goes over water) it will detonate. Conan try's to contact Haibara and tell her to stop everyone from going in (which activates the watch), but he is too late and so instead he tells Haibara to make sure they don't go on the Snake(a roller coaster that goes out of the area) or leave the park. The client tells them that two detectives have given up, one is still working, and the other one has failed. The T.V. then shows a man called Detective Ryu who apparently Kogoro knows. Ryu is in a locked room where he is told his deduction was wrong, and he dies from the watch exploding. They are given a phone that can only receive calls and just one clue which leads Conan and Kogoro into an abandoned hotel where they find in a locker in the basement a government licensed gun and some ski masks. After leaving the building some cops think they are related to Kid since he has claimed to steal something around there. They discover that it was used for a robbery of a truck delivering money to a bank on April 4. They also discover that on the same date of the robbery, Kaitou Kid stole some jewels from a nearby company. They are brought to the police station where Kogoro is interrogated and they assume he is Kid's Accomplice.The client calls the phone which Conan has so he runs to the washroom to answer it and the client identifies Conan as Shinchi So Conan uses his voice-changing bow tie and answers him. Conan explains what they found and tells him the 2nd hint "Go to "Yoru no Cafe Terrace". Conan then leaves the police station to try and figure out where to go. Conan trying to figure out the hint meets Hattori Heiji who shows Conan his bracelet and that Kazuha is also held captive. Kogoro eventually finds Conan and Hattori. Inspector Megure wants to know whats going on but Kogoro cant tell him because the client is watching him. The Client notices Kogoro with the police so he sets off a bomb to warn Kogoro. Kogoro pushes Megure and leaves taking Hattori and Conan with him. Inspector Megure leaves him alone because Kogoro secretly gave him a note explaining that he must make sure Ran and the others don't leave the park. Kogoro splits up from them to investigate on his own. Hattori tells Conan that he got a different hint than Conan and combining the two hints they figure out they have to go to a university's club office where they meet and join Hakuba Saguru who is the famous detective from the North. In the club room they find out that the 3rd president (Itoh Suehiko) of the club was charged with the murder of one of the classmate (Nishio), and that they removed his portrait from the portraits of club leaders. When they go to eat Heji contacts a friend of his dad to help him find research on Itoh. While eating Hakuba tells them that Itoh was placed on the wanted list, as one of the culprits who attacked a cash delivery truck on April 4th. Meanwhile Kogoro asks Eri if she can give him details on the April 4th cash delivery truck attack case. After eating they go to Nishio's office. It is revealed that Shimizu Reiko committed suicide because she was being pushed too hard about Nishio's murder. Hattori then confirms with the client through the phone that the mystery he wants them to solve was this murder case. Right after they are attacked by two motorcyclists working for the culprit who is also trying to kill Kaitou Kid.They try to run away and split up. Using his Skateboard Conan gets away but one of them chases him up to a retractable bridge where he falls from it hitting his leg on the side of the railings causing it to break and falling into the river.Meanwhile a thief gets caught in the park. To escape being caught he takes Ayumi hostage and starts to walk to the exit. Right when he's about to leave he is stopped by Sonoko who is texting without noticing he has a knife and is holding Ayumi hostage. She pushes him out of the way as its the entrance and Ayumi escapes. When Conan comes back to he is in the back of Agasa's car with Hattori. Hattori tells Conan that Hakuba called Agasa to pick Conan up but when Agasa arrives Hakuba is gone. While driving to the hotel Heji tells Conan that his dad's friend gave him some interesting information about the case. Apparently there was Mascara on the scope but she never said anything while being interrogated. Then on May 15th she was seen walking off the side of a cliff into the rapids below. Her body was never found and then 8 days later Itoh had escaped from the hospital. He also told Conan that on April 4th when Kid stole some Jewels from a museum his escape route collided with the cash delivery truck attackers' escape route, so the attackers' starting shooting at Kid because he saw their faces and since then whenever Kid tries to steal something his life is targeted. Professor Agasa tells them that Kogoro was already at the hotel to reveal what he found out. Meanwhile Kaitou Kid goes to the art museum and tells the owner that he doesn't like having his life at stake. He also finally figured out why he was trying to kill him still even after he returned the jewel. It was because he saw his face and the face of his subordinate (who is hiding behind a curtain). Kaitou releases sleeping gas and checks behind the curtain to find out his sub-ordinate is gone. Kaitou then leaves as he will be arrested for stealing the jewels in his museum in the first place.
