- The cat's name, Torakage, is an anagram of Kagetora, tiger character from Gosho's previous work Yaiba.
- The buildings in the background, as seen from the Yokohama Port Main Road, are the Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel and the JICA Yokohama building. The pancake restaurant the kidnapper escaped, Bells, is the real-life Bills Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. The closed restaurant "Cocorico" is in fact the real-life "Café & Rotisserie LA COCORICO".
- This is the first manga appearance of the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. It previously appeared in the 2014 TV Special The Disappearance of Conan Edogawa: The Worst Two Days in History.
