Manga to anime changes
- The episode only adapts the first three pages of chapter 134, with the partying scene and Kumo-Otoko lamenting Onimaru. The rest of the episode is made up of flashbacks to the previous 39 episodes:

- The Strongest in History! The Ryuujin Sword!! (ep35): Ryujin is introduced. Sayaka dies, but revives along with the others. Yaiba unlocks the sword of Ryujin. Kaguya, and Tsukikage appear and the invasing of the Earth by the Moon people starts.
- Invaders From the Moon - The Empress Kaguya-Large Sinking! Onimaru’s Floating Castle (ep36-37): Kaguya fights Onimaru and freezes him.
