Trivia
- When the group arrives in Hokkaido, Musashi makes a pun by saying that since there are crabs in Hokkaido, then there should be a "crab-orb" (蟹の玉), and then jokes about eating "kanitama" (かに玉), the Japanese term for Egg foo young, a Chinese dish composed of fried egg slices. The wolf-version Jubei later mentions about making Kerokichi into a "Kappamaki" (かっぱ巻), a type of sushi made entirely of cucumbers.
