The Rise of Ninja Kotaro (忍者小太郎現る！ ,Ninja Kotarō Arawaru^?), is the 14th episode of the Yaiba: Samurai Legend anime.

New scenes are made where Nadeshiko joins Yaiba's group at Naruto Station.
In manga, Yaiba's group know the location of the orb from a shopkeeper. This is not adapted as Nadeshiko is the one who knows the location. As a result, the hint that Kumo-Otoko is also searching the orb with strange man is also not adapted.
In manga, Kumo-Otoko and Kotaro simply followed Yaiba's group from behind. In the new anime, they are one step ahead and already get the orb by the time Yaiba' group arrive at the cave. In addition, new scene is added where the tanukis is already tied.
Unlike in manga, the tanukis can't talk (but as Yaiba can talk with animals he can still understand them).
The scene where Kotaro use paralyzing dust is unique to the anime.
