One afternoon, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan were at a tidal park in Chiba Prefecture, enjoying the scenery. After low tide occurred, Kogoro was about to take them to an all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant for dinner, but all three of them discover a body lying on a flood bridge.

This is not a murder, but a suicide. This was because, as stated in Ryuji's will, he invested stocks in an attempt to gain more capital for his company but became bankrupt. After the case was solved, Kogoro took Ran and Conan to that restaurant, only to find it closed.
