it's a mental condition so it's pretty much incurable..

but thanks. ;)

so insomnia is incurable...

I'm curious, what causes insomnia?

Posted

from what I read. it depends.

You could have been born with it...

but in my case, it's caused by mental "shock" (I think I got it from depression or something.)

Insomnia is like a habit as well.

It is defined as "Not willing to or unable to sleep." if you put it simple.

In my case, I am unable to sleep.

People who are unwilling to sleep are probably most of the college students who have tons of classes and works.

Opposite of Insomnia is Hypersomnia, which is pretty much "Feeling of Restlessness or unable to fully wake up."

These kind of disorders can be found common among Korean, Japanese, and Chinese high school students because the lack sleep(from studying... I heard they sleep for about 5 hours at most), but that is different type *Parasomnia called "Sleep-wake disorder."

This is just like how you read it. I think of this as "Messed up sleeping time schedule" because it is mainly caused by sleeping so little(insomnia)/too much(Hypersomnia).

*Parasomnia is pretty much how you say "Sleeping disorder" in a fancier way.

I see (as expected of cure nii-chan)... curiosity really overcomes me the how can you sleep if you have insomnia??

I don't really know.

It's like you can't make yourself fall asleep.

When you feel sleepy then you can sleep, but that occurs after approximately 40(?) hours... Hm. Calculation is a bit off I think...

Most of the time, I don't get a sleep between some days... =_= not fun at all.

I used to take sleeping pills or Nyquil thing... it doesn't work anymore...

only option I have is Alcohol... but I don't like Alcohol... they smell bad... except wine...

Thailand.

Grandma, don't watch the news that loudly. I thought that dad was coming. <_<

Anyways, I'm gonna be going to Thailand which means I probably won't have internet for the next 10 days. Of course, if I do, you know I'll be on here. :P I probably won't get on until the 21st. I shall make the best of the few hours I have left on DCW.
