I'm not saying they remember, but surely they noticed that the kid who is staying at the Mouri Detective agency happens to show up at every single one of their operations. Which would lead them to want to eliminate them. Vermouth can only protect them so much. So by any form of logic, telling Ran that he is Shinichi, and going along with her previously created crazy theory from Desperate Revival, it should be fine. So long as he says that he is merely hiding and allowing the FBI to handle things.

True, but if she could figure it out then why couldn't anyone else. Everything that Gosho has been building up for Bourbon, he/she should already know! And he/she is supposedly loyal to the BO! And then I have to evoke suspension of disbelief when I think of all the times the BO has probably noticed this little kid in glasses at every one of their major operations and NOT suspect ANYTHING?! Someone has had to have noticed, someone! Especially since they suspected the Mouri Agency before, and the kid staying there is the same kid that shows up. They are supposed to be a multinational secret organization that can't notice a kid that is far too smart and shows up far too often where they are? It cannot be all coincidence and they should know this! Either they should have already killed Kogorou and Ran because Conan cannot stay out of it and they are the adults who are likely moving against them, or they figured out that Kogorou is a puppet and Conan is actually someone else, and they are all screwed anyway! Sorry for going OT, but I really can't see the reasoning for keeping this a secret any longer...

I feel bad for Ran, because honestly, she has figured it out on several occasions. Conan with the help of Haibara and Agasa has convinced her otherwise each time. That probably does a number on Ran's confidence. Does anyone ever think about that? NO! Damn it Shinichi, if she figures it out again, tell her and allow yourself to be beat into the ground. Think of it this way... Someone in the Black Org ALREADY KNOWS who you are. And that is Vermouth. She could easily tell everyone else and Kogorou and Ran would be screwed anyway. So get it over with.

But she is a master of disguise and make up. I'm sure she has the ability to conceal scars. Not to mention there are ways to make scars inherently less noticeable. Though they aren't perfect, combining that with the techniques she knows, it is possible for her to make it seem that they are hers with no scars. Though again, it is more likely for Gosho to give a pseudo scientific reason that doesn't actually exist like he did with the APTX4869 shrinking Shinichi.

I'm going out on a limb and say everyone EXECPT (in other words everyone except those listed have gotten on my nerves at some point or do constantly.) Akai (he better come back, even though logically I don't think he should) Haibara Ai/Shiho Miyano/Sherry Vermouth Satou Takagi (Most of the time) Makoto (Though that could be because we haven't seen enough of him) Yuusaku Yukiko (they are both so very awesome) Eri (to a degree) Agasa (to a degree) The three characters I cannot stand without reprieve however are that annoying cop Yamamura, Genta and Ayumi. I do not like Conan/Shinichi, and I have stated elsewhere why, but I can at least stand him. Same goes for Ran. And other characters, namely Kogorou gets on my nerves, but he is at least entertaining.

So wait... you put Gin, but not Vodka? I think Gin would be hurt that his choice of lifelong partner was not chosen for this poll.. You make him sad...

Late Fall early Winter. The movie aired in Japan during golden week. After that all we can do at DCTP is wait for the rental of the DVD and Bluray, which comes out in the Fall, usually in September/October. From there we translate it and work our magic. So please be patient. DCTP does work on Cam rips. Mainly because the quality is so god awful. The other reasons are that audio is not consistent, which is important for a dialogue heavy series like Detective Conan, and the visuals aren't consistent either, which is important for some of the textual clues or cues. So we don't bother . (also, they are harder to come by)

And I am Kyuu... I'm one of the staff members over there at DCTP. I came here for Chek, and that is all you need to know about me (if you want more you can read my intro that I posed).

Before I state what I think within the realm of DC, I'd like to give an old theory that I came up with to logically explain Vermouth's existence. As well as another which I can't validate within my mind due to certain aspects. Sharon Vineyard was the original Vermouth. She was apart of the Black Org in secret, possibly using her influence to get certain things. She created a plan to bring up her child as the heir to become Vermouth. Which by that point became the pinnacle of mastery of disguise and deception within the Org. She had her child and named her Chris. She brought her up to be the worlds best actress, and to make her into the perfect spy for the Black Org. When she finished growing up, her mother Sharon, had her undergo surgery to make her into her exact replica of her when she was younger to make it seem as if she never ages. She continued on with her mother's legacy, with the BO Boss accepting Sharon's plan to pass on the name of Vermouth to her child. As for the fingerprints, she most likely had the exact copy of her Sharon's finger prints grafted to her skin. The only way for this theory to be confirmed is if Sharon's DNA is on file, and Chris's DNA is not a match. (This is tied into my theory of the BO boss as well, which I'll explain after what I think within the DC universe with all of its peculiarities) Theory #2: Sharon faked her own pregnancy and proceeded to get plastic surgery, and disguised herself as the older Sharon Vineyard. The only problem with this is that though it is possible to make yourself look younger, the degradation of the bones and body are not so easily reversed. So it would be hard for Vermouth to be as active if she really is the age that she is meant to be as one person. Those explanations however disregard everything we know of the DC universe, and the BO secret projects. We are made to assume that the BO has several projects, which include, iirc, a drug to give youth. The likelihood of taking APTX4869 is slim, because the reduction in age is merely a known anomaly. While it is possible that Sharon took it with a premade antidote she prepared, it seems unlikely because it would be too risky. The more likely thing that happened is that she took a working prototype of another drug the Org is working on as a guinea pig to be younger again (and her dedication could be an added reason to be why she is the boss's favorite). It was successful and she regained her youth. Thus she is actually the same person, and likely under the watch of the science department to ensure the drug's success. Coming back to the first one, and though this is OT, I'll give how this links to my theory of the BO boss... Chris Vineyard, as the daughter of Sharon, was robbed of her childhood and became bitter that she had to undergo all of that to take over her mother's position. Before her mother's death, she was disguising herself as her mother and criminals preparing herself for the work at the BO. This is who we saw during the NYC case. She got saved by Ran and Shinichi, and though she didn't think much of it at the time, she had found the person she needed to destroy the org she had become so bitter towards. She realized that after her mother died, and started hearing that Kudo Shinichi was a great detective only in HS, that he would be the perfect instrument to bring down the Org. Unfortunately before she could do anything he was poisoned by Gin, and she thought he was dead. When she discovered that he was not dead, only shrunken it wasn't long before she realized that Edogawa Conan was the shrunken shinichi. And she realized that he was the silver bullet, because no one would suspect a kid. She started her revenge by killing the Boss, and assuming his position using disguising techniques. (whenever you see her talking to the Boss she is really just talking to herself using a relay or one of her underlings) She is biding her time until Shinichi is ready to bring down the org.

OVAs are unrelated to anything. You are thinking of the Magic Files, which to my knowledge the MF for the movie doesn't spoil anything either. So either way you are safe.

I could totally see Shinichi/Shiho getting together, and then Shinichi really pisses her off, and she slips him another dose of APTX4869 making him Conan again . Holding him hostage in that form until she feels her revenge has been completed.

I unfortunately don't keep transcripts of the CBox activity. Funnily enough I thought the trick was based upon an optical illusion before I knew about that particular one, since it is the only thing that makes sense. If the tiles are specially made and there was no luminol reaction, that must mean that the tiles were most likely switched. Which is made easier by the fact that they were recently laid. My explanations were bare bones though, and not as detailed. We touched upon the same points though.

Well.... Chek and I are on the same page with this one. I didn't even read through it all, but it is strikingly similar to what I wrote in the DCTP spoiler box last week and followed up on after I read this latest file.

Don't you remember in the first chapter/episode? Shinichi caught a peak under Ran's dress and he dodged every single one of her attacks. I think he could handle himself, but it still wouldn't be a good idea. That is true about Ai, but that doesn't change that she still probably has it in her. And again, she is frighteningly smart and can probably come up with really creative ways to get back at him should he ever make her angry.

Agreed, which he will be so long as he remembers not to get on either of their bad side. Ran (who he'll likely end up with) will beat him into the ground if he gets on her bad side (we have already seen her try and how good Shinichi has gotten at dodging, as well as her strength). And honestly... I don't know what Shiho would do to him, but I'd be more worried about her because she is far more devious...
