Gosho doesn't make the anime. He said he was going to write an MK case with Phantom Lady, which he will be doing in the two upcoming weeks. For now, that is 'all' you can expect.

What were you expecting ? It's DC time's slot after all. Anyway, the episodes are over for now, more of them could be made in the future though, who knows.

Amazingly bad indeed.

Since we're in the general section, I've decide to give my point of view concerning how long the manga and anime will last. 2 possibilities for the manga : -Gosho ends the story properly in 5-10 years. Sequels are then published by other writers (it's happened with other franchise like Saint Seiya). -Gosho dies before finishing the story (it can happen, unfortunately), the manga is then stopped or his assistants take over. Sequels aren't to be excluded either. Anime-wise, I see the anime going on even after the manga ends (if it does) with AO stories, adaptations of the Special volumes and of the new cases in the sequels. The anime has one very important purpose which is to promote the movie : given how much cash they bring in on an annual basis, there is no way they will stop coming out.

I don't know why but it's true that fans on DCTP do tend to be less enthusiastic compared to fans on youtube or other DC websites such as this one. While I didn't really dislike this episode, I didn't really like it either. But to be fair, we need to give the pairing some time, I'm pretty sure not many people cared about Takagi when he was first hooked up with Sato (though that was ages ago), yet he's now among the fans' favorite behind the main cast and the teenage boys.

They probably had to change the song for promotional purposes or something along those lines.

They just treated these specials the same way they treat some of the remastered episodes : new song but no new images. Judging an opening based on that seems a bit rushed.

Actually, he did. Koshi Inaba sang the 16th ending entitled "Overture" which was used only for episodes 300-306.

Avatar grossed far more than any DC movie, and on a world-wide scale. So obviously the odds of having the full movie on the internet before its DVD release were higher.

That's basically what I thought of this piece of junk they call OVA, and god knows I don't expect much from these things since I even managed to enjoy the 8th one (only to a certain extent of course).

Both are lame, but 13 was a bit better than 14.

I can relate to that. I disliked movie 6 because of this video game idea which just doesn't fit with the Conan universe. Besides, the case was really shallow and frankly quite boring, the moral of the movie seemed out of place and annoyed me, and Jack the ripper looked ridiculous. However, the graphics of the city of London were still very nice and the soundtrack was pretty decent.

It was still better than any episode in the 616-621 range !
