  1. Psshhht, I once had like, 7 senpais, one for each day of the week. Haha, no problem!
  2. Thrrroooooooooowwwbaaaaackk!! (well, not really but I haven't heard this song since it was first released) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0c-kC8xZ-I
  3. I-I-I missed your birthday! Sorry 'bout that, I was quite busy Friday. Happy belated b-day!

    1. machine

      machine

It's ok! Thank you nonetheless! :D

  4. Just joking. @machine: Pandora's cool too, I just prefer Spotify over it, is all.
  5. Ah geez, I thought he was a girl too, so when I realized he was a guy my heart was kinda left in limbo, haha. Some of the other students were developed in an episode or two. I know the baseball guy, some of the thuggier looking dudes, the pretty girl with long black hair, and a couple other characters had their brief time to shine. I wouldn't really mind it if the series continued to focus on Nagisa (he's cute after all) and Karma and the teachers though. I might get bored of them soon, in the same way I feel like I'm starting to get bored of Nisekoi's cast, but I guess we'll see if it comes to that. Aww well, to each his own.
  6. Awww yeah One Jump Ahead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcTC7RkmHac
  7. Ah, I see. Well then, I'm not the best at giving advice like this, because I'm a bumbling fool myself, so the most I can do is wish you luck. Just hope you two share some common interests or something, and maybe you'll hit it off when the stars align. Ooooorrrr, you could just find a new senpai.
  8. You're asking for a fight now aren'tchya?
  9. Naw, I knew what you meant, I was just making a joke, haha. The only Titan that makes sense in the context of sunsets would be the moon, naturally.
  10. No need to apologize. I don't mind at all, and I don't think we've broken any forum rules (okay, maybe we have in the other thread...) You don't have to force yourself to read it again if you don't want to and/or don't have the time, haha. If there was a good movie adaptation, I would recommend that, but from what I've seen nothing can do the book justice. If only a Tale of Two Cities movie was made in the same style as the 2012 Les Miserables movie, it would have been something worthy checking out. Hrm, I may have to get around to 1984 then. Don't know why I never got the chance to read it during high school. And yes, isawwutudidthar, haha. The Little Princess is a really quick but worthwhile read. I think it took me a little under two hours to read it all, so if you have time for a movie but don't want to watch a movie and happen to have a spare copy of the book lying around, hunker down for a little bit and finish it in one sitting. It's best experienced that way, haha. Ah, I see. I used to watch the Angry Video Game Nerd a lot back before he started doing other stuff with his videos, mainly because he purposely goes out of his way to play crappy retro games, ones I would never have played or heard of otherwise. The commentary was pretty good, though I haven't seen his videos in ages so I'm not sure how they hold up today. His oldest video was uploaded 9 years ago, haha. I guess I'm also cool with watching plot-less games like Smash, Mario Kart, and Splatoon and have people commentate, because it doesn't really detract from the experience. Rush Hour Smash does a pretty good job with that, if you're at all into the competitive side of Smash. But if it's something plot based like a visual novel, I steer clear. Commentary hurts those games more so than any other, and not to mention there are spoilery thumbnails all over YouTube. If I can't get my hands on one of those games to experience personally and individually, emulator or otherwise, I refuse to experience it all. I'd rather completely miss out on an experience than have it delivered to me in an adulterated state. Heh, in general I'm just not the biggest fan of full out Let's Plays. Eheheh, I probably sound like a snob, but like anime, a video game is an expressive form of entertainment that needs to be appreciated like a good book or movie: alone and at your own pace. Anywhooooo... OMM1: Stayed up so late last night working on my project, that when I finally finished and had the urge to stargaze because it was a cloudless night, the sky was already starting to light back up...... OMM2: PIXELS looks so bad and so good at the same time. I'm probably going to check it out when it releases.
  11. (Unless you talk to him first! Hopefully the weather's been either really good or really bad...)
  12. Found out machine still uses Pandora. (Convert to Spotify, you know you want to...)
  13. Why don't you jump in one and find out? Though I'd venture to guess you wouldn't get much of a view.
  14. I think most fans agree that ufotable will either give HF the Kara no Kyoukai treatment, with 7-ish movies spanning the course of over two and a half years, or split it into two 2.5 hour movies with a major cliffhanger in the middle (I haven't played the visual novels, so I'm not too sure what this cliffhanger is) and a lot of the slice of life scenes cut out. They realize the 2010 UBW movie was a bad idea, so I doubt they'd be silly enough to shoot themselves in the foot with a lazy one-movie adaptation. And I hate to break it to you, but in an interview ufotable said there were no plans to adapt Fate. They said they "respected" Studio Deen's 2006 loose adaptation, which is a load of bs considering they gave away the Fate route for free on mobile devices or something after they announced they would be adapting UBW about a year back. After people watch UBW and Heaven's Feel, Fate wouldn't feel right at the end, especially since it was originally intended to be played first. The only way Fate would get an adaptation is if they incorporated a ton of anime original scenes and changed up some aspects, even more so than the current UBW is doing. At least, that's what people are saying. Also, didn't Nasu confirm in an interview somewhere that there is no "true" route? He said that they're all alternate universes of each other, each of them equally as legitimate and real as the others. He said no route should be singled out as the "true" events of Fate/stay night. I wish I could provide you links to these interview, but that's what I gathered from stalking the threads on MyAnimeList and the Fate/stay night subreddit these past few months when I finally got around to diving into the franchise. W-we were getting along so well... I'm sorry, but I don't think we can be friends anymore... I'm just joshing. I only prefer Onodera because I have this huge bias for Kana Hanazawa's voice.
  15. Prelude 12/21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfeyRj4ePT8
  16. You're awesome Kenzi, thanks for delivering, haha! Shakespeare in Love Only watched the first few minutes of this, because I guess my Lit teacher just felt like not showing us the rest. Can't really say much from this little preview, but it's an interesting comedic take on how Shakespeare came to be as popular as he did, I think. Nothing amazing, but in theory it probably would have been a pretty solid movie. Didn't intrigue me enough to finish it on my own time though. Emma Why are all of Jane Austen's works the same? Seriously, there were so many parallel between Emma and Pride and Prejudice, I thought she was ripping off herself. Bit of an aged movie and not directly quite as dramatically or stylistically as P&P, but then again I don't think the course material was probably all that great either. Interstellar Only worthwhile thing we did in physics this entire year was watch this movie. And even then I ended up watching most of it at home because I wasn't patient enough to wait for the weekend to end. I've been curious about this movie ever since I've heard pretty solid things about it. I must say, I was impressed. The directing was great, and while there are some flaws with character personalities and actions it did enough right to tip it in my favor. I was impressed by the rather unique and "realistic" take on the relativity aspects, though the philosophical parts did feel a tad bit heavy-handed. Even small flaws like the earsplitting music swells and the inconsistent aspect ratio didn't bother me. This was a good movie, and it's worth your time if you're looking for a change of pace from the standard Hollywood fare. I'm still watching movies in Lit class, because my teacher is super chill like that. Just started watching Clueless, and modern-day loosely-based version of Emma, and I can't say I particularly like it so far. The humor hasn't aged very well and the lead character is obnoxious. I know it's supposed to be a parody of sorts, but jeez... It still rubs me the wrong way. Man, I haven't watched this many movies since winter break. Too bad I still don't have time to get around to what I really want.
  17. Thought you were doing one of those haikus again, and began counting syllables. I was going to give you a 7.8/10 because your first and second lines were too short, and then I realized my mistake. Eheh, my bad, that quote is 10/10. "Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rage at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
  18. I wish someone would seriously bump the movie thread. Because AP tests are done, I've watched a few things in school, and not being able to post about them without double posting is bothering me to no end.
  19. Miles Edgeworth ~ Objection! 2011 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-sPwGfE3CQ It's a crying shame this game wasn't officially localized, because a ton of fans are missing out on the second best Ace Attorney game and one of the best (if not the best) OSTs of the franchise.
  20. OMM: Procrastinated on a two week project and am planning on finishing it, start to finish, all tonight. Because as a senior...
  21. I don't hate fantasy and mahou shoujou anime specifically, but very very few of the new ones that are coming out are even remotely creative. Especially if they come from light novels. Honestly, just Google "light novel covers" and you'll find that nearly everything looks identical. Just a bunch of rainbow-haired moe girls in skirts living a high school life and/or saving the world from imminent destruction. One of the reasons I started watching anime was because I thought Hollywood was bad, but the anime industry isn't exactly the greatest either, especially nowadays. I want there to be a Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria anime adaptation so bad though. The light novel intrigues me and as much as I'd like to start reading it I just don't have the time. An anime would be a godsend.
  22. True, it just feels like Hachiman's personality isn't being expressed in the same way as it was before. I know right?? I wish we could just have a release date for the movie(s), because being left with only a preview trailer and a promo poster is getting me super anxious. For now, UBW is keeping me satiated, and when summer comes around I'll get to the Kara no Kyoukai movies, which I've been saving. I just hope ufotable's other project, God Eater, doesn't delay Heaven's Feel too much. Regardless, I'm still super hyped for it! Let us just be thankful it's even going to be a thing (RIP Fate route). Anything would be better than Chitoge, honestly.
  23. Call me crazy, but I preferred season one's art style even though season two's animation, detail, and consistency is significantly improved. You should definitely check them out, so I'm glad you're considering them. Well, I'll give you that, Tsugumi's pretty good, too. I only put Onodera ahead of her because of my bias for Kana Hanazawa's voice, haha. The "vampire" aspect of the show is very very minimal, so I really don't think it'll prove to be a problem at all. Nothing at all like Owari no Seraph, rest assured. It's a quick watch, so either pick it up now and catch up with the airing episodes or just wait for it to finish. It's good you're also interested in it though; it's an anime that definitely deserves more attention. If you end up liking it, be sure to spread the word! And you're also watching Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, right? I think it's alright, some episodes are hit, others are miss, but overall it's pretty fun. I'm only not ragging on it too much because Nagisa Shiota is an awesome character and he's kinda cute (no homo, I swear). It looks like a second season as already been confirmed, so I guess it won't hurt to check it out.
  24. Ah I see, well good luck where ever you're headed. My man, you know where it's at. I never watch others play video games unless I've already played it myself. And even then, I never watch PewDiePie or Markiplier, since they don't play things like Smash and Pokemon competitively.
