Three days. He had three days.
A wicked grin grew on the teen's face. He was breaking the speed limit by a good 50 miles, but hey, that's what black suitcases are for, right?
In the back of the cramped car was the very same baseball bat he used to knock out those DCW members...dang, who were those people again? They looked familiar, but, damn...
A phone call interrupted his thoughts. Pressing a button on the dashboard, the phone call was automatically broadcast to the entire car. Kinda like those Bluetooth phone things in cars nowadays.
"Yello, what's up?"
"I thought you wanted information on this Nero kid. And the group with him."
"Nero. It's like him to do such a deal."
"...It seems you two have history."
"Whoo, boy, don't get me started on that! Anyways, about this information..."
"Yeah, yeah. Look, this line is unsecured, and I don't trust it. I'll meet you in person at the designated rendzevous point."
"Alright, then. Sector B, right?"
"Yes, yes." And the other line hangs up.
For a moment, there was silence. Nothing but wheels on the road. Then another moment passed, and the teen sighed. "Morpheus was enough of a problem...I'd probably wouldn't have made it out alive if it wasn't for these," he nudges his sunglasses, "and even then, whoo, boy, that wasn't easy."
"But if I recall, that Aeyra girl. She's with Nero. Like it or not, she's a valuable resource."
The teen, of course, had a mission. Kill Nero, and capture the remaining group members. Interrogate them, then flash them. Not a biggie, he thought at first.
"I got sidetracked by Morpheus. Stupid of me to let him go after weeks of pursuit. But I suppose this is a priority."
At this point, he laughed. "If Nero thinks he's gonna get his way, whoo, I'd hate to disappoint him."
"He'd go to the airport. Get a taxi, and make sure the driver is a Loyalist. Sleeping gas. Well, he's gonna be in for a big surprise. That Loyalist driver...won't be there when I'm done."
