  1. I sneezed and scared my cat away Yeah I haven't had a consistent sleep schedule for a good... almost 4 years now. I'm naturally a night person so it's not even intentional when I stay up late most of the time. (and I learned a couple years ago that I can go on >3 hours of sleep if needed so that certainly doesn't help my "...one more episode" mindset haha) Having to worry about your parents finding you awake at unreasonable hours sounds horrible. No one with school the following day is usually happy being up after 1 or 2am anyways. Good luck unscrewing your sleep schedule btw as it can feel unnecessarily hard sometimes u_u Having a fitness buddy is really nice, especially if the like mental aspect of exercising/getting yourself to exercise is hard. (Hopefully you'd choose someone to work out with you who has a similar stamina so neither of you overwork yourself) And at the school I went to my freshman year, all during the winter the track team would always run through the second and third floors for a good thirty minutes or so after school got out. I have no idea how they managed to bring themselves to do that day after day while it was cruddy outside since the heat would be on and everything.
  2. tfw you meant to click a topic but accidentally click the username below it instead
  3. (it's fine I know I can be pretty out there at times haha) But yeah my neighbors and I used to do that all the time! We lived at the end of a cul de sac so we'd each take the mound that was pushed near our house and see who could construct the cooler fort. Building tunnels, flattening out a seat at the highest point so we could observe and stray cars that came out the street to turn around. fun times...
  4. First and foremost I found this screencap of a tweet on tumblr and thought it was funny and still somewhat relevant as Akakata and I both fall on the ace spectrum And though the topic's kinda progressed onwards I wanted to link this which is about a transgirl named Jazz. She was only 11 at the time of it being filmed and it's sad how young she was when she learned about all the...just ignorance the general public has regarding transgender people. It's also nice to hear about a family that fully accepts their child and is allowing her to transition so early on! I agree with majority of what you said (and I bolded parts I found particularly important) so I don't have much to add. I would like to add a little to that last part though. It's that LGBTQIA+ people leave their house every day knowing some people hate them (some even want to physically harm them) solely based on their orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression. For LGBTQIA+ teens it's knowing they could be kicked out, disowned, put into conversion therapy, and/or beaten simply for not being straight and/or cis. It's going to school every day and knowing there are undoubtedly kids there who wouldn't hesitant to bully you if you were out of the closet. It's having to be misgendered on a daily basis by your family because they can't fathom the idea of their beautiful daughter or son not being the gender they were assigned with at birth. It's knowing you could lose your job based over something you can't control. It's knowing you and your same gender significant other would not be safe visiting certain countries. It's knowing that in some countries being non het/cis is a crime and can land you in jail or even lead to you being killed. It's knowing just because of what your identity is you might be denied medical treatment. It's also knowing you're at a higher risk for certain mental illnesses including depression. It's living in fear. (main source: page 2 of this) It's not a pleasant thing to talk about but it needs to be discussed openly and frequently. These problems are fortunately going away slowly but surely but it's not an exaggeration to say some LGBTQIA+ people might not be able to hold out that long for things to change. It does get a little tiring to hear it over and over but it's not being reiterated just for the sake of being irritating. (in reference to bold part) I haven't heard of there being trans animals (do animals even have a concept of gender identity...? who even knows) But homosexual behavior (I hate how that sounds but don't know how else to word it) has been seen in numerous species (x) I admittedly don't have much to add to this either and +1 to what Balthazar said

  9. OMM 1: why are most the commercials in between the news aimed at middle aged men... I wonder what their demographics are..... OMM 2: what if assimofirst broke their silence one day but the only thing they posted some random noun like "firehouse" or "food processor" OMM 3: everyone in my new town has the slightest country accent and it's just there but not fully enough there that it's vaguely annoying I know, I usually wake up like 15 minutes before I need to leave, I can't imagine waking up 2 hours earlier. My sister doesn't live at home anymore (and I was in elementary school when she was in high school) but I think when she was a teenager she took maybe like 30-45minutes to get ready which is still quite a while but not horrible compared to some people.

  11. I don't quite know if "sexy" would be the most fitting of words for it, though I'm sure that applies to some cases of why some girl's spend 1hr+ getting ready. From what I understand it seems to be mainly a confidence issue, like if they don't look conventionally attractive/desirable they're worthless and then hate themselves which might be why some spend so much time perfecting everything. Others do it for themselves and because they like how it looks (which is fine). I thought most girls who take 1hr+ getting ready took that into account though. I used to go to school with girls who'd wake up an hour and a half before I did just to get ready (they even lived closer to school than I did and had a short commute time) I never understood why they'd willingly lose 90 minutes of sleep daily I'm sure they run late because of that on occasion though. It's also sort of expected for girls to wear makeup but that's something else entirely and I don't want to turn this into an essay.
  12. but she was wearing a big, oversized sweatshirt with it that's not exactly the sexiest of all clothing combos,,, and it looked like she was with her mom and younger sister out grocery shopping and that's probably not the time when any teenage girl wants to up her sex appeal

  25. I named all my pokemon in XY bad puns or like corny references. (ex: my haxorus was named 1337h4x0ru5, since I was really into snk at the time my aerodactyl was named ArminAerolet, and my salamence was named Salamenace) Ninth grade doesn't sound like it was exactly a great time for anyone. I could barely even get out of bed or anything for a good two months or so. It was just not... good,,, For a while once every month (sometimes twice a month) we'd go make the trip to/fro one house to the other for the weekend or sometimes longer since I was truant at the time for part of it. It sounds worse than it actually was like when we'd go to my new town I'd basically just kinda take in the surroundings and when going back to my hometown I got to do stuff with my friends and actually enjoy myself so it wasn't completely miserable. It was pretty tiring though because whenever we went to whichever place it was to work. So basically it was drive in one day, work the next, and drive back the following (and thank you again btw! ;o; ) And yeah thinking about scholarships already sounds.. just stressful in short haha Having your opinions immediately discarded does suck though at the same time it has saved me from saying something stupid a few times. Being taken seriously more often than not would be nice though (we'll be able to vote in the next election, though we're still very much so kids, if we;ll have a say in political stuff like that soon, why can't majority of adults take 2 seconds to hear a different perspective OTL )
