  1. I've lived in areas where apartments looked like houses. Since you obviously can't park a car in a stacked apartment lol (unless it's for showcasing), he's probably referring to the house-like apartments. Either that, or it's another fluke.
  2. I would assume that it's just a fluke and/or arbitrary information that doesn't contribute much to the case.
  3. Crunchyroll only subs the episodes. The OVAs/Specials/Movies are likely to be taken care of by fan-subbers like the Moonlighters.
  4. I have a lot that of DC songs that I like, so the following list is only a few that I happen to enjoy (no particular order): Haru Uta- Ending to the Eleventh Striker (movie 16) Kimi Ga Ireba- I'm actually not sure where this came from...anyone here know where this specific version is played? Boku Ga Iru- This one I'm fairly certain Conan is the one singing it, but I can't remember where...anyone know? haha.. Hello Mr. My Yesterday- ED 35 Don't Wanna Lie- OP 31 Winter Bells- OP 10 ...and basically everything from Garnet Crow especially this long forgotten piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgPhO48sCyU it's a shame it only had a short run.
  5. ... What? O.o It's some conditioning drill that some tennis coaches use. Rule of thumb: the bigger the number, the more painful/longer-lasting the suicides tend to be.
  6. No particular order, I love them all the same. Steins;Gate- Hands down. Art may not have been stellar, but everything else it had to offer completely makes up for it. Nichijou- The show is basically a huge exaggerated metaphor for life. The humor is so unique it's hard not to smile while watching it. ATLA/LOK- They don't really count as anime, but after rewatching a few episodes, it's actually a lot deeper than most make them out to be. FMAB- It may have been long forgotten, but it's still a classic. Detective Conan- This is only based on my bias since it's been in my life for a while. Aside from all the fillers, the show is actually decent.

    Depression Club

Most of the people I've seen depressed tend to hide everything and do everything in their power not to consult anyone.
  8. I was lucky that one of the sports I loved playing was a competitive sport in high school. Otherwise, I'd just be another generic person taking track just to fill up a sports cred. Whether or not a school "takes your life away" also depends on the classes you take.

    well that escalated quickly
  10. I also had plenty of extra-curriculars. Also, make sure you play some sports beforehand so you have an opportunity to compete for spots in high school. I never really liked MathCounts, not sure why.

Not necessarily. It depends on what the drug is "curing." That's like saying chemistry isn't math.
  12. It's actually not that bad. I took around 3-4 events and had to meet up weekly for all of them. As long as you're doing events that fit your interests, it shouldn't be a huge chore. In high school, it's all self-study. No one meets up for them.

It's usually to trick the patient into believing that the drug is working.
  14. SciO is time consuming but no one is forcing you to compete in Write it do it. Unless you want to be an architect or something, then go for it.

I'm sure these doctors are well aware of the effects of the drug. Sometimes, the drug may have not benefit at all, but this is what we call the placebo effect. There have been scientific studies showing that the mindset the person has towards his/her problem is a major factor that determines whether he/she will recover or not. Hence, the placebo effect. ahahahaha like that's gonna stop them from repopulating. their sexuality should not concern you.
  16. Of course not, lol
  17. I think I was the builder. But my partner's handwriting was so sloppy and illegible that I gave up half-way. Needless to say, I did not choose this event the year after.
  18. It's a partner event where one partner describes a structure, while the other partner has to build it. Points go to how close the newly built structure is to the original.
  19. Re-found out how painful four-court suicides are. My heart goes to the people who threw up doing eight-court suicides.
  20. I think you'd be better off doing an event that actually fits your interests. One of my first events was Write it do it, and it was pretty painful. I'm not even sure how/why I chose it.
  21. What events are you planning to sign up for though?
  22. The middle school fractions tend not to be too competitive, so you should be fine as long as you actually prepare for them. There are a few exceptions though--our rival school being one of the more competitive schools. But the looks on their faces when we beat them in the overall placing was priceless.
  23. Ahhhhh! This was exactly me in 7th grade! *nods approvingly
  24. It really bothers me how DC almost always takes the same route when solving cases. -Conan meets random person (people) that is (are) inevitably going to be associated with a case -Someone is killed/almost killed/kidnapped/etc. -Conan realizes that random person/one of the random people might be the culprit -Conan finds item that becomes a key to solving the case or he becomes inspired by it -Random person that Conan happened to meet turns out to be the culprit ...either that, or Conan finds a random item (that the culprit intended to get rid of) that leads him to the culprit. The outcome is still the same. If the case is not exactly in this format, I'm willing to bet that it's awfully close. Basically, what irritates me the most is that the majority of the cases that Conan solves these days are purely based on luck, and that he happens to find information that serve in his favor. What if he never ran into this random person/item that happened to be associated with this case? If instead, he blindly walked into a murder case located in a shopping mall with 100+ people without meeting anyone or finding anything beforehand, how would he solve the case? That's what I'd rather watch. I'm seriously sick of the "Conan happens to be at the right place at the right time" gimmick--which is okay once in a while, but after it's relied on for the vast majority of the series, a lot of people are going to get ticked off. The foundation of the show is no longer chiefly based on Conan's abilities as a detective, but rather on his improbable luck. The title "Detective Conan" ends up losing half of its meaning. Sure, he still utilizes his deductive skills for the case, but that's only after all of the information he needs is spoon-fed to him.
