  7. Hmm.. This could be interesting. Harry Houdini and Arthur Conan Doyle Series Coming To Syfy? The odd friendship between famed magician Harry Houdini and "Sherlock Holmes" creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is something that Hollywood just can't seem to get enough of this week. Deadline is reporting that Syfy is actively developing "Among The Spirits," a new drama series that will feature Houdini and Doyle solving bizarre murders and mysteries in the '20s with the help of a female cop. The series is based upon a self-published graphic novel by Steve Valentine and Paul Chart. On Wednesday, DreamWorks picked up "Voices from the Dead" an original script by J. Michael Straczynski ("Babylon 5") that also features Houdini and Doyle teaming up to solve strange killings in New York during the '20s with the help of a psychic. "I guess there is something in the air about that whole time period and that very interesting relationship between Houdini and Doyle," said Mark Stern, Syfy's president of original programming. Stern also described the series as "a turn-of-the-century 'Fringe.'" "We have Houdini, who was the ultimate illusionist and was all about creating illusions, and Doyle, who was all about getting to the truth underneath - the pragmatist and the dreamer - set against that 1920s world of America where technology is just starting to grow." It's probably not a good sign that the statement switches up the viewpoints of the two men. Doyle was a true believer in spirituality and the possibilities of magic while Houdini was a hardened skeptic. Also less encouraging is the news that "Among The Spirits" is being produced by Entertainment One, the company behind the Syfy series "Haven." This is also far from the first time that Doyle and Houdini have been featured together in fiction. Back in 1992, William Shatner and Michael Tobias collaborated on a novel called "Believe," which pit the two against each other. And as my colleague, William Bibbiani pointed out, the film "Fairy Tale: A True Story" (pictured above) starred Peter O'Toole as Doyle and Harvey Keitel as Houdini during the infamous fairy case in Cottingley in which young girls claimed to have photographed an actual fairy. 9. that's great! I always try to find who the culprit is. Sometimes I succeed, only the motive part is kind of tricky. >.< I've been quite busy with school and stuff lately T_T but tell you what, when I get to download them before the translation release, I'll be joining the discussion. If not, I'll be sure to do so next time. ^^

  14. She was in the nearby coffeehouse from 4-5. At 5:30, she could've gotten there. She has a key. Simon mustn't have known she was there. Then bam! lol He didn't die right away, though, that's why Jii finished him off. edit: Oh, right.. it was her watch that was off.. >.< I missed something! sorry.. I'll think again heh Yeah. I don't know.. Unless there's something else before the dumbbell (or Simon's a bodybuilder and displays his weights like a trophy >.<). And she could've used something else, too, other than the racket..Or she didn't have a car and could've taken a bus, thus, nowhere else to leave her racket. Just thinking of other ways to go about the murder. Only xXLeration could shed light into this..
  15. hey, there. I'm good today, thanks. how about you? ^^

  16. Mm.. Jii pushed up his glasses when asked, right? If you're a trumpeter, shouldn't your glasses be tight enough? Maybe Lea's watch is set to her country's time. She's a foreigner after all She didn't realize it until she was told about the time of death? Max was there but not inside the house as mentioned here... If it was Max, the only reason that I can think of as to why he went back is that murderers always come back to the scene of the crime. Maybe, for some reason, the dumbbell was overhead. You just have to give it a slight push (say with her tennis racket) while Simon wasn't looking. It then knocked him out unconscious then he had internal bleeding leading to death? I think it's Jii! For the same reason that Max gave: I just have a feeling. (Or maybe, Lea and he are lovers and he killed Simon for her. <3)
  17. Uhh.. I've been meaning to ask this: who's Mr. Rogers? I thought Simon Baker was the person who died?
  18. aww.. thank youu ^^ yours is pretty romantic lol

  19. My picture = my sig, right? As you've said here. Thanks again ^^
