Disclaimer: I do not own Detective Conan nor the characters. Everything belongs to Gosho Aoyama. Special thanks to Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief for helping me come up with the names (I've already used Shinichi Natake's in another fic). Btw, since this fan-fiction is not so short, I'll post all of the parts in one thread for convenience... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- PART I The Moon shines its last cold light, as it slowly fades behind the black clouds. Hehehe.... When every beings and every movements blends in with pure darkness. At last, after all these years... The time for vengeance has finally come... Deep within the far wood, crimson and devilish flame keep blazing as the wind howls in horror. Laugh while you can... Your little happiness will soon be over... The cloaked grinning stranger throws two photographs into the fire. It has begun... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....... The fire that rise from Hell.... * * * 7 o'clock in the morning. The lovely young girl shakes her father's arm and yells in desperateness. "Dad. Wake up already, it's 7 now..." Mr. sleepy detective slackly opens up his eyes. He yawns and looks at his daughter, while still lying on the large bed. "Uh... Honey, daddy's really sleepy. Is something important ?" The girl scowls as tears in her eyes begin to shed... Suddenly, his beloved wife, who's now in her thirties, from outside the room rushes in. "That is not very nice, darling ! Yesterday you promised that you'd take her to Tropical Island, have you already forgotten?" The handsome detective immediately gets up as if he has just remembered something. He holds his crying daughter's hands. "Just kidding... Hihihi... Can't believe the dear daughter of the famous Kudou Shinichi can fall into such joke that easily... Now get ready and wait for daddy in the car, OK ?" Right after her daughter smiled in relief and ran off their room, Ran gives her husband the famous death-glare while he's still awkwardly rubbing the back of his head: "Nice safe !" * * * The famous Kudo family has now arrived at Tropical Island. This very place is probably the most memorable for both Shinichi and his wife... Time is fast when you're not thinking about it. More than ten years have past since that destined event, but Shinichi can still remember his date with Ran clearly, as if it only happened yesterday... The roller coaster, the murder, his supposed last words with her, and The two men in Black. He can event point out the exact place where he was attacked and poisoned by Gin and Vodka... They are just memories, and he knows that he has to move on and overcome it, but they're simply something that he is never going to forget... However, the Black Organization is completely gone. Everything is now over. After the epic showdown with The men in black, Shinichi has been known as one if the world's most famous young detectives for his credit. He eventually married Ran and have a daughter with her. From then on, his career is just getting better and better. His name as a detective has been more and more well-known, and became a serious threat for the criminal world... As for his personal life with Ran, he can say that he's overly satisfied. * * * After riding the good old roller coaster, the two Kudos decide to rest and find a good place for lunchtime, but Megumi-chan, their energetic 7-year-old-daughter still wants to play more... Sometimes, Shinichi can hear people around him comment and compliment about his deeds (or his handsomeness). Many crazy fan girls even run towards him and ask for signatures and photographs. Just like the old times, which only seems to get on Ran's nerves. "Oh no... I think I've dropped my wallet somewhere..." Megumi suddenly screams in surprise when she realizes that her pocket is empty. Ran sighs: "Megumi-chan, what have I told you about putting a small wallet in such big pocket ?" "But big pockets are cool... Anyway, it's probably dropped when we were riding on that roller coaster. I'll go and find it right away..." "Alright, I and your dad are gonna wait at that mini-restaurant over there, just don't get too close to the coaster !" Ran recommends and begins to walk away with her husband... * * * It's just been less than five minutes but Shinichi already sees his daughter enter the restaurant. "I'm baaaaaaack...." Ran cannot hide her surprised look. "Wow... It was really fast, Megumi-chan." "Yes, I thought that I'd gonna have to search for hours, but then that kind boy ran towards me and asked if I was searching for a wallet..." Smiles Megumi. She then sits down near her parents and continues: "He said that he had found a strange wallet lying on the road, which really is my lost wallet... That boy is really cute and he says that he's 7 years old, just like me." Shinichi teases: "Oh really... ? Sounds like the beginning of a 'good friendship'...", and whispers to Ran, "just like you and me..." Ran's face turns red while Shinichi just keeps on asking: "But isn't that odd ? When someone introduces their age but not their name..." "He did tell me his name..." Megumi talks as she opens the menu... "... His name is Edogawa Conan..." (to be continued)1 point

Hi, I've been here for a while and have had a couple of problems with double posting, which I'm sure other members have also experienced as well. People will accidentally click the post button twice, or something like that, and there'll end up being two of the same posts. We need a delete button so that we can delete our double posts since they're useless and cause some dispute between members. It's also useful if we said something wrong and don't know what to do with our post. Of course, the delete button would only be for your own posts, nobody else's. It would be up to you whether or not you deleted the post (unless the mods or Maurice decided it wasn't appropriate). I say that we get a delete button at the bottom of our posts so we won't be stuck in a situation where we've made a mistake and can't correct it. So, what do you think?1 point

Don't watch it whatever you do!!! The anime botches several key points like the blood in the actual death scene (censorship ruins the bloodtrails!) and Akai stopping James Black (wrist grab, not phone grab!). The manga does it much better. ⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩ Read the manga. If you do it by the anime, this arc is harder/impossible to solve because of several lost clues! ⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧⇧1 point

I had lost my pride, my will, my everything just in one single day, and the culprits are mostly everyone that I used to love and trust (to the point that if they somehow ended up in danger, I'd willing sacrifice my life to save theirs). At first, I was extremely shocked and depressed, but I never thought of committing suicide. I've known many cases who had tried to commit suicide (for such motives) but ended up being saved. After a while, when their mind and emotions are calm and in balance again, they realized that it was a foolish deed. There are always a solution, we just let our emotions take over us and do not think about things thoroughly...1 point

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters of DC/MK. The idea of parallel universes belongs to CLAMP. Chelsea owns herself. I am nobody. Insanity is mutual. oOo Where am I? Chelsea surveyed her surroundings. She was still in Japan, but not in Tokyo. She saw the sign Welcome to Ekoda and realized what had happened. Her wish actually came true! So this means I can use magic? Recollecting her thoughts, she began to explore around. As expected, several kids giggled when they saw her ‘unique’ hairstyle. A teenage boy with blue hair and a sassy girl with knee-length golden hair parted in two pigtails passed by. “The art class instructor said that my drawings are horrible,” the girl sighed in dismay. Her companion tried in vain to cheer her up. Chelsea’s gaze lingered on the pair as they walked away. Hayate and Nagi? What are THEY doing here? This world just gets weirder and weirder. She began to sweatdrop. After wandering around town, she located her school. But first, she had to suffer the agony of hunger, the pain of smelling the tantalizing aroma of food and being unable to help oneself to it. The grocery, market, and bakeshop were all filled with tempting goodies that she couldn’t buy. At last, she came to a huge campus. Although its appearance was different from what she remembered, the sign said that it was her school. She timidly peeked in and looked around for anyone she knew. Gathering her courage, she entered through the main gate. Although modern in style, It was a strange, foreboding place with an unexplainable aura. The students seemed normal enough, but something was definitely amiss. Something is definitely wrong with this place. It’s creepy, she thought. At last, she came to a rustic wooden arched door which looked out of place in the modern building. She turned the knob. It creaked open with a noise that made her shudder involuntarily. “Hello? Is anybody here? Hello-oow,” she called out. Not a voice was heard from the darkness. She groped for the light switch but couldn’t find it. Suddenly, a row of lights in the ceiling went on and she realized that the door opened to a narrow hallway. Still wondering who turned the lights on, she ventured inside. Mirrors of all shapes and sizes hung from the wall. Her eyes scanned the room, taking in every minute detail until they landed on a small white rabbit several feet in front of her. It stared at her with such big black eyes for half a minute before bounding away. “Hey, wait!” Chelsea chased after it. It dashed into a room that seemed to house a tropical paradise, complete with a beach and a forest. Birds were chirping, monkeys were swinging through the canopy, insects crawled on leaves, and little critters scuttled away on the white sand. To complete the effect, wind beat on the water, forming waves which broke on the shore at regular intervals. Chelsea could not believe it. The whole experience resembled the real thing. “Welcome to my kingdom!” announced a voice from behind. She turned and saw an eerily familiar boy with fair skin and soft, golden hair smiling at her. She froze in astonishment. “Who are you?” “I’m Mitsukuni Haninozuka, 17 years old. Call me Honey for short.” “H-honey…sempai? Aren’t you supposed to be in Ouran High School?” “Ouran Highschool? What’s that?” the boy asked innocently. Chelsea facepalmed. “Right. Of course you wouldn’t know about it. People in this world aren’t supposed to know--” “Did you just say ‘people in this world’? Are you from another world?” he asked seriously. “Why yes, I am. My name’s Che—Miyuki. Do you know how I can get back home?” “There is only one person I know who has the power to do that. Her name is Koizumi Akako. There used to be another, the Witch of Dimensions, but one day, she mysteriously disappeared.” “Akako?” she gasped. “You mean the witch?” “Right. Lean closer. I’ll whisper something to you,” he instructed. Chelsea obeyed willingly. “She’s currently the head of the Night Class. Do you know what the Night Class is?” She shook her head. “Never heard of it before.” “The Night Class is a magic class for witches-to-be. Akako trains them how to use their powers and teaches them magic spells.” He stepped backward and resumed his normal cheery tone. “If you want, you may join the class! But remember, it’s held from 10 pm to midnight.” “That’s not a problem. I sleep at twelve more often now. So, is this a secret society or something?” she asked eagerly. “Yup. The regular students don’t know about it. Few people do.” “So why did you tell me about it?” “You’re a witch too, right? I can sense magical abilities in you.” “ME? I have magical powers? Are you kidding me?” Wait. I did teleport myself from Tokyo to Ekoda. Maybe that counts as magic. “It’s true! In this world, there are two kinds of people: the regular ones who possess no magic whatsoever, and the ones like you and me, who have powers.” “You mean witches and wizards.” “Not only them; other people have magic also. I’m referring to the gifted ones who are unusually skilled in their art. This includes genius detectives, doctors who can cure any illness, singers with a golden voice, and many more. These people don’t know anything about magic; they just have it. The most powerful ones are the sorcerers—the witches and wizards, who can perform spells. They form the elite class.” Chelsea nodded attentively, unable to think of anything to say. All this threatened to give her a major headache. “Your name is Miyuki, right? I’ll call you Miyu-chan from now on,” he continued. “Miyu-chan, take a look at this!” Saying so, he called his pet rabbit and cradled it in his arms. “I’ll make Usa-chan disappear. 1, 2, 3…” In a puff of smoke, the rabbit was gone. Chelsea watched in amusement. “So where’d you hide it? In your pocket? Under your uniform?” “Nope, guess again!” “Uh…I give up.” He flashed a triumphant grin. “It really disappeared. Magicians have real powers here. But of course, they aren’t as powerful as us sorcerers. Their powers are limited to simple things like making objects disappear. A few can read people’s minds,” Honey informed her. “I do have a special power: my awesome cuteness!” Chelsea’s jaw dropped and reached the floor. “Oh, okay. But there’s something I need to ask you. This morning I saw two people who looked like the characters in a manga I read. Why is that?” The boy thought for a moment before replying, “Do you believe in parallel universes?” “What’s that?” she asked curiously. “Well, I have some ideas, but I don’t understand this concept of ‘other worlds’ enough.” “Allow me to enlighten you! You see, according to Akako, if you travel to a different world, you are likely to meet souls of people from your own world. They are essentially the same person, but they live totally different lives. In one world, for example, a person may be an arrogant king; in another, he’s a humble servant.” Chelsea’s eyes widened in understanding. “So this is a dimension similar to the world of Detective Conan which I landed in, but it’s different in that there’s magic here. That explains why nobody recognized me.” And that explains why I’m talking with you this very moment. “Hey wait, does that mean that werewolves, vampires, and dragons exist here, too?” “No, as far as I know, there aren’t any. Um, Miyu-chan, what am I like in your world?” “You might not believe this, but in the world I came from, you’re a manga character.” “Wow! Sounds like fun!” he chirped. “Honey-sempai, I need to meet Akako…-san. I have to return home. I can’t remain trapped in this world forever. I have a family…and friends who need me.” “In that case, you can wait for her here. She’ll arrive at 10 tonight. Meanwhile, why don’t I tour you around the campus?” “That will surely be fun!” Chelsea said excitedly. Tonight I’ll get the chance to meet Akako! “But first,” he flicked his finger and the tropical beach disappeared. The room became a jewel-encrusted cavern lit by fireflies. “Wow. How did you do that?” Chelsea gaped in wonder. “This is an illusion, after all. I did say ‘Welcome to my kingdom’ when you entered, didn’t I? People I know call me Honey the Illusionist.” At that moment, Chelsea’s tummy rumbled, reminding her that she hadn’t eaten breakfast yet. “Are you hungry, Miyu-chan? Come with me and I’ll treat you to something sweet!” he offered, pulling her arm along as he skipped out the door. … After sharing a heavy breakfast, Honey and Chelsea walked toward the magic room in the second floor. The passageway to the room was concealed behind a full-length mirror. Only those with magic could unlock it. The frame was gilded with intertwined gold and silver wires and adorned with sapphires, rubies, emeralds, amethysts, topazes, and a huge diamond on top shaped like a rose compass. “Simply turn the diamond with magic and the panel will rotate,” explained Honey. “Do any of the regular kids know about this?” “Nope! We do this at night so no one will find out.” “Do the teachers know that Akako teaches here?” “No, but the principal does. He’s Police Officer Hakuba.” “HAKUBA’S DAD IS THE PRINCIPAL?!!” Honey just grinned. “Try opening the door.” “Uh, how?” she asked with an are-you-crazy voice. “Use your magic,” he replied calmly. “But HOW?” “Concentrate, Miyu-chan,” he prodded her on. Concentrate on what exactly? Why can’t you at least explain this to me? her mind screamed. Well, here goes nothing. Though skeptical, she closed her eyes and imagined the door opening, and it did. The panel rotated and Chelsea found herself inside the secret chamber. Inside it was pitch black all over. At once, rows of torches on the four walls lit up the room. Three magnificent glass chandeliers with teardrop-shaped bulbs hung suspended from the ceiling. The east and west walls were pure glass. At the other end of the room was a special dark-red throne with a velvet cushion. A wide glass panel was fixed to the wall behind it. “That is Akako’s throne, and the glass functions like a chalkboard. Instead of chalk, Akako-sama uses a magic wand to write out spells,” stated Honey. Chelsea’s eyes surveyed the room. Outside, snow was falling softly, blanketing the world in white. “I thought it’s the middle of summer?” “Akako-sama prefers this setting. It brings back fond memories from long ago, she once said. But you know, Miyu-chan, before there used to be brilliant summer garden. Only three months ago, she changed it into a world of snow.” “Oh? Why do you think she did that?” she asked eagerly. “I don’t know for sure. But Akako-sama certainly has been quite lonely recently,” he said sadly. “I think I know why,” Chelsea thought aloud. “Why?” asked a voice from behind her. “Akako-sama! You’re early today!” Chelsea whirled around. Sure enough, Akako was standing behind her with an enigmatic smile on her face. “Akako! It’s—it’s really you!” she nearly squealed. Akako raised an eyebrow. “And who are you?” “My name is--uh, I mean, in this world I’m called Miyuki.” “Miyuki. I was expecting you. I notice that you haven’t changed your clothes,” she observed amusedly. “My clothes? And this—this dye on my hair!” she burst out in annoyance. “How did you know—was this your doing?!” “Miyu-chan, you should show more respect to Akako-sama,” Honey chided her. “OHOHOHOHO! Forgive me; this was just a mark so I would recognize you at once.” “So now that I’m here, could you please take it off? You have no idea how many weird stares I’ve been getting this morning.” “Of course.” With a snap of her fingers, the spell was reversed, and Chelsea’s hair reverted to its usual black color. Chelsea sighed in relief. “Honey-sempai told me that you know something about crossing dimensions. I was wondering if you could explain to me why I’m here.” Akako surveyed her from head to foot. The girl was begging to learn the truth. “Alright. Because you asked for it, I will be honest with you. I am the one who summoned you here.” “Why? Why me? What do you want from me?” “I supposed Honey hasn’t told you about the prophecy yet.” “What prophecy?” “The prophecy,” she continued, “the prediction that I would only be able to gain the hearts of all the people in this world if a certain girl from another world would come to help. And that girl is none other than you.” “Oh, so you called me here because you need my help.” “I promise to send you back home after you complete your job.” “But how can I? If it involves magic…well my knowledge of magic is practically level zero.” “Hmm, I foresaw this possibility. I will have to train you how to bring out your inner magic. See you at class this evening,” Akako smirked, glad that her plan was coming to pass. Surely Kaito’s heart would be hers in no time at all. Chelsea’s heart was bursting with sheer joy and her body couldn’t contain it anymore. “REALLY? You’ll teach me? It’s like a dream coming true! Thank you! Arigato! I’m so excited!” “It’s a deal then. OHOHOHOHOHO!!!” “OHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!” Chelsea laughed back. This is soooo exciting! Akako’s going to be my teacher! I can’t wait for my first lesson! Honey sweatdropped. Now he would have to put up with two insane laughers. o0o Weird? Insane? Well, I sincerely hope this cheers a special person up. …1 point
