Situation

Professor Agasa and the Detective Boys are getting lost after a camping trip. A young man named Tadao Umesaki picks them up and takes them to Kubo Inn. Here, they are introduced to Sayuki Kubo, the young owner of Kubo Inn, Ryouzou Kadokura, the cook, and two mysterious men, Kimura and Tanaka. Later, Tadao tells them about the secret treasure of Takeda Shingen, as well as the disappearance of Sayuki's father, Yasuharu Kubo.

The day after, Conan, Mitsuhiko, Genta, Tadao and Sayuki discover a secret room beneath a small temple while taking a walk around the village. Inside the room, they find the corpse of Yasuharu.

Meanwhile, Ayumi tells Haibara about the strange stone and the notebook she found near their camping spot, as well as what she overheard Kimura and Tanaka talking. The notebook turns out to be Yasuharu's solution of the riddle leading to Shingen's treasure. However, Kimura and Tanaka notice them.

Conan and the rest give chase of the two men. Ayumi manages to escape thanks to Haibara and is later found by Conan's group. Conan, Mitsuhiko, Genta and Tadao continue to the abandoned gold mine containing Shingen's treasure, where they have to solve the riddle in order to reach the treasure room.
